Sunny, if mental gymnastics were a reality and could do for us what we're trying so hard to do, I'd look like Twiggy! Oh my God, my mind is working all of the time! Maybe that's a clue to try some meditation - da ya think?!
Good luck with your Doctor's appointment and test today. If I know you, you studied like crazy last night! emoticon
Hoping that Josh is alright. Here's an appropriate quote for you:
“When your mother asks, "Do you want a piece of advice?" it is a mere formality. It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no. You're going to get it anyway.” Ema Bombeck
Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt!

Another little tidbit about myself - I'm mostly "vanilla" = plain and nothing special. But if conditions are right i.e. people, the situation, being relaxed, etc. I can be Crazy Chocolate Lulu or Tutti Frutti Beauti!

Oookay now that I've bared my soul one more time . . . YOUR TURN! Time to get familiar in preparation for our meet-up!!!!

Here's to a successful function test and office visit Sunny! Also, hugs that all is well with Joshua and yes, we'd all be right on target if mental gymnastics counted (great way to think about it though).

I'm sure there are some tidbits in that book that we all could use as food for thought.

Safe travels.

Good Morning, Team. The meeting went well and we enjoyed the drive to and from although it was a long one.

Yesterday was a tough day for me. We haven't heard from Joshua for a few days and my mind can really do mental gymnastics (too bad I can't count them as fitness points). Today is my annual Pulmonary Function Test and visit to my lung specialist. Afterwards, we will drive down to check on Josh and pick up Rich's truck.

Take care and have a good day. I am off to get some exercise in today.

Love you all, Sunny

BTW, I finally broke down and ordered Chris Powell's book on Carb Cycling as I know I needed to know more about the diet and so far, that is proving true.

See you all later.

Sharon, I am amazed that you weren't first in line to have your face painted! We learned something new. If I were there, I'd get in line with you...

Dinner out twice for a great cause, works for me.

Really nice here too. Had myself a little sumthin, sumthin last night, finally. Hope the weather holds for everyone and you all have a great Thursday! Hugs and Prayers.

Oh didn't realize it until late yesterday, but yesterday was a half a year from St. Patrick's Day.

Hi Ya ladies! Well we went last night and it was great. Hooked up with some other friends there, and we all toasted Chris' memory with wine! They had face painting for the kids and anyone else who said they were interested. Every year I swear I am going to do it the next year and I just walk on by.
Also found out they are doing another at their other location tomorrow night, and so we will go there in support, too. Maybe I'll do the face painting there if it's offered. If I can get my courage up, I'll post a picture!

Hope you all are doing well today. It was a beautiful, sunny, and cool day here today. Loved it!
Have a Terrific Thursday my lovelies. . .

Barb, I knew Clara was under the weather, just didn't realize she was really under the weather. Here's to her staying well! Hope the Endo visit is just your follow up. Busy, Busy, Busy. Seems everything always comes at once then a screeching halt. I thought of you yesterday morning because it is still dark closer to 6 around here, guess we need to start resetting our internal clocks again and the shorter days. Seems to be happening earlier this year, maybe this year I am more aware than the past couple of years.

Wow, that is some memorial for that gentleman, it is wonderful that a restaurant and community still does this on such a grand scale. Sad when they are taken at such a young age. I like your barometer reference. I feel the same way!

Yesterday had some cold hot cocoa but the kiddie version, actually ran home just to make some and was out the door and gone until late. I started a class sponsored by the TN State Troopers called the Citizen Academy. It's geared just to give folks more insight as to what Troopers do, don't or can't do. It by no means gives us authority but will make you more aware. Lots of fun stuff to do and lots to learn.

Today the beefed up version for sure. Everyone have a good one.

Hey Gals!

Kelly, glad to hear that your bloat is gone from the weekend. Hope you were able to glaod Firefox and get Adblock Plus working for you.

Sunny, hope you have safe travels to and from your meeting today.

Barb, I was about to send the MPs out looking for you. Not like you to not check in

This team is my barometer - when I check in and see everyone else has done the same, all seems right in my little world. Will join you ladies for a little sumthin sumthin, too! I'm going to toast a dear friend who passed away at the age of 51 from cardiac arrest 7 years ago today. Tonight we are going to the family restaurant (it's our neighborhood place) for dinner. They donate 20% of the evenings proceeds to the American Heart Association in his memory on this date. The place is always jam packed and people are in line for take-out orders! I have to say that I have NEVER been to a funeral where I had to stand "in line" for an hour to view the body, and it was like that was for the 5 hours of the viewing. The memorial service must have had at least a thousand people - the church was jam packed, and people were standing outside, too. Chris was a very dear friend and a wonderful human being!

Tata for now. . . emoticon

Tuesday – Another brisk walk this morning. Supposed to warm up a little this weekend. Hope so.

Had to get yet another pedometer. The grip on mine broke so it fell off somewhere. Guess I’m rough on pedometers!

Hope it’s a good Tuesday everyone!

Didn’t realize that my post AGAIN didn’t get posted here yesterday.

Yesterday was Clara’s first day back @ school. She is much better. Spend the weekend doing catch up as we’ll be going the next 2 weekends in IL (endocrinology appointments this Sat., and next – then will visit w/the parents..

Sharon: It is hard to low carb but as the sugar cravings/carb cravings abate, it’s a little easier. My top limit in a day is 40 mg/day, being type 2. Type 2 indicates carb intolerance, so that is how I have to go.

Kelly: Hope the CT scan went well.

Glad the bloat is down. Yes, amping up the carbs (and proteins) does decrease carb cravings.

Join you later for frozen something-something with something-something in it.

Sharon, thinking one thing and put in another, I meant adblock...
A toddler has better knowledge of this stuff than I do, but you all knew this already.

Got an early appointment so better get moving, don't think they want me to show up in my jammies although I see enough folks out and about in theirs all the time! We'll know the CT results on Friday, and I thank you all for your prayers I need all the help I can get.

CUL8R, maybe for cold hot cocoa?

Thanks for the reply my friends. Sunny, I think CARB should be my middle name. I love breads, pasta, pizza, potatoes, and sweets. All those things that contain carbs! What book are you ordering?

Kelly, hope things went well for you today, and will keep you in my prayers. Why is Firefox blocked for you? Adblock Plus works for EVERYTHING, and I love it!

Barb, hope you are doing well, too.

Getting late, and time to get some emoticon . Catch you all tomorrow!

Thanks Sharon for the reminder, knew there was a reason why I didn't do it when you sent the links...firefox is blocked and I need to remember how to get it. Actually I thought it only worked on the popups and not the ones they have alllllll over the pages.

Lucky me, the bloat from the week-end is gone. The CT is just to make sure there are no lymph nodes lurking since I had them last year, what I didn't know was he was doing more than one area which makes sense, so I had both an IV contrast as well as the oral. Will know Friday so keep your fingers crossed.

I find if I amp up the fiber with the carbs I don't need as much. Unless of course it is fresh crusty rolls or bread. You are to be commended for sticking with it and it is working!

Oh, Sharon your dinner the other night brought some great memories! Sometimes you just have to re-write the rules and not worry about it.

See youse guys manana!

Fasting CT? What's going on my friend? Hope it all goes well for you.

I gotta tell you I am addicted to anything with carbs in it so this diet has been hard for me but seeing the result on the scale makes it all worth wild.

I am going to break down and order the book today as I know we are doing some things wrong. Off to get some water in and work on my Bible Study.

Do have a Marvelous Monday. Sunny

You are not alone Sharon, I don't necessarily count carbs, some days are more than others but I try to make them count. Think that's why Saturday nearly did me in because along with the good ones I had a whole lotta fun ones. John was diagnosed type 2 diabetic at 65, but he was allowed 60 carbs per meal! Unless it was pasta and garlic bread he rarely reached that. Generally I ate what he had, only I ate more salad stuff for lunch. I don't really track my food on a regular basis, but I do know I now don't eat enough most days and that needs to change, so I'd say I am probably closer in range to you.

I'm going to drop the foodie talk right now, I have a fasting CT scan at 10 so the tummy is really rumbling at me right now. I had a protein shake late last night to hold me over but it didn't work. I'm having a hard time convincing it that it will not have one of those yummy huge chocolate muffins from the hospital coffee shop afterwards. Got to hit the shower so will stop in later but didn't want to feel you were carbing alone Sharon!

Am I the only one on here NOT low carbing? I have my food tracker set for 50 - 100 grams per day, and have a rough time of staying within those limits. How do you guys do it, and what are your ranges?

I am with you Barb on that Supper of Champions. Sounds good to this "carb deprived" woman. Hehehe

Today actually was our Carb Day and DH wanted Spaghetti and garlic bread. The way he acted during dinner would convince one that he had "died and gone to heaven". I did enjoy it too. I miss the carbs but am happy about the weight loss so will continue through the Lemon's Challenge.

Church and Sunday School this morning. I taught and DH was there to support me. The lesson was on the New Covenant. Lots of good stuff and I feel it went well.

Kelly, hope all is well with you. Problems with the spy ware? Sharon had a good plan. I need to do that too.

Sharon, I will look for you on FB. My FB name is Marilyn Lisenbee. If I don't find you, look for me.

Barb, so happy that Clara is feeling better.

Take care and have a Marvelous Monday.

Morning Gals!
well, we didn't end up going to dinner. DH said he wasn't that hungry, and he suggested ice cream sundaes for "dinner". So that's what we did. Taenti Vanilla Bean Gelato, a little choclate sauce, some bourbon cherries, and a few slices of banana. Really good! I have decided that with this last bunch of Bing Cherries I am going to do a bigger jar of the bourbon cherries. We have gone thorough almost half of the small jar we did a couple of months ago.

Going to do brunch here shortly and eat out on the deck. It is a BEAUTIFULLY, COOL, FALLISH type morning here! I'm lovin' it! It's getting me in the mood for all my favorite fall foods!

Barb, glad that Clara is doing much better!

Kelly, I have only a few words for you - Use FIREFOX and add ADBLOCK PLUS! Find the email I sent you, and do it. I have no ads except for a few spark ones that I can't block because otherwise things don't work.

Sunny I found you on FB!!! So happy. emoticon Anyone else on there - Kelly, Barb?

Gotta go so I can start brunch! Have a good one! emoticon

Kelly: Yes, updates have wiped out streaks, e-mails, you name it. I tend to check my e-mail preferences and streak statuses every 2 weeks.

Too bad the weather didn't cooperate, but sounds like it was nice anyho

Sunday – Cool, but the sun is out, so that’s a good thing! Going to be a busy week, so did crock pot cooking and have meals in the freezer. That feels good.

Mom sounded good today. Less confused. Glad she’s having a good day.

I think Jason and I are going to go out to breakfast, so going to get my walk in w/Mr. Spot!

Hugs and blessings.

Morning, well, it sure felt like fall yesterday, cloudy, chilly and breezy! We didn't get the wet stuff though. Where'd you end up for dinner?

Kind of put a damper on the picnic, it was at a screened in pavilion which helped, fastest meal I think. Literally, eat and run. However, all day yesterday was a blow out day calorie wise with way too many carb calories, and yes empty carbs too. Out all day, so break snacks in the morning during training class, lunch out which was sensible then the pot luck. I was absolutely miserable when I got home, between the headache and yuk feeling from a sugar high there was that danged bloating. But I did eat lots of healthy stuff too. I'm still bloated this morning but not at all like yesterday. Haven't had a day like that in a very, very long time.

Would love to check out your DIL and granddaughter.

Odd, out of the blue I got a whole bunch of weekly update emails from teams which I haven't requested. I checked my settings, shouldn't have gotten them but here's the clinker...there is a message that they can't send me emails because of a bad address. I've asked them to 'splain that one. Seems like every time they do an "update" things just change. I've heard others with similar complaints. Wait for it, another rant coming on...those danged rolling ads are going to do me in. It is really getting harder to visit some places.

Well I hope weather wise things are good for everyone, and you all have a wonderful Sunday. Meanwhile, lots of hugs and prayers going your way.

Hi Dee Ho Ladies!

Well, it's cooler here today! emoticon Was overcast most of the day and rained for about 3 hours steady this afternoon, and now the sun is out and shining brightly. DH and I are going to have a drink on the deck and then go out for dinner somewhere.

Barb, how's Clara doing?

Nothing new to report, but I know things are very busy for DS. If you are a FB member, try to go to my DIL's page - you should be able to get to her through me, I think. There's a reeeallllyyyyyy cute video of Leah twirling around in circles until she gets dizzy and falls down. I also have a very cute one for her birthday on my FB page.

Hope you all have a great evening with friends and family!

Saturday – Another cool morning, but rain free so got the walk in1 Got up an hour later than my 4 am during the week. Felt like sleeping in! LOL That’s kinda pathetic, isn’t it! Nah. I actually don’t mind the quiet hrs.

Will do some crock pot cooking today. Perfect day for that. Then finishing up taking the garden down for the winter.

Good Morning Peeps! Got my RED on too. emoticon I remembered, and no senior moment!

Barb, send that weather this-a-way will ya?

Kelly, hope you enjoy the movie. I'm not familiar with it. There are not many movies I care to see these days. If we go to the movies, it is usually an animated feature. I don't care for all the darkness, the violence, and the rest of it. Then we wonder why the world is becoming the way it is. Last movie we watched was Gravity on Netflix. That was a real edge of your seater!

Off to the grocery store. Enjoy your weekend, ladies. Looking forward to the cooler weather.

Kelly: Got my red on too. FROSTY here (41 F right now, going up to 50. BUT at least no snow. So, that's a good thing.

Friday – cool start to the day again. But out the door early for a walk. Got walking fast, that’s for sure!

Today is going to be a “catch up” day. Glad it’s Friday!

Jason has to have the rims on his tires ground and the tires re-fitted. He’s been losing air in 2 of his tires. The tires themselves are all right. So, hoping that’ s the answer to the problem.

Sharon, sorry the message from your son was so short and that he remains busy (busier).

Made myself a martini and sat out on the porch, didn't get all the rain, at least here, expected and it cleared late afternoon.

I luv my flannel jammies and nighties too. I've seen that blankie from Restoration.

The last of the Atlas Shrugged trilogy opens here tonight. Our local afternoon drive time talk host has a bit part in it so they are doing a faux premier, not sure if I'll go but sould be fun. Tightwad here doesn't want to pay the service fee to Fandango to get a tix beforehand.

Will have my RED on, find myself saying extra prayers for them and our Country.

Yes, I agree, it is a very somber day, and yes, it does get more so each year. Our country is in a very sorry state.

I will raise a glass with you tonight, Kelly. DH said he got brief message that DS is getting even busier, if that's possible . . . and I guess it must be.

So glad Clara is feeling better, and your mom's rash is clearing up, Barb.

47 degrees! Wow that's amazing! Got your woollies out for tonight? I have to admit - now, don't judge me for this, but I love my flannel nightgowns. To me there is nothing cozier. . .except my faux fur blanket from Restoration Hardware.

I hope the world stays safe. emoticon

Kelly: You know it is the same for me. It just is more sad each year. I think maybe because, as you say, this country is in a mess.

Blessings to all those who serve this country, who have lost their lives doing so, and prayers for this country that it is guided back on the right path.

It seems each year I am sadder, maybe it is because the state of our Nation.

Heard something just now that they surveyed a bunch of college kids, the great majority of them had no clue not only about September 11th, but what ISIS is and that two Americans had been slaughtered.

Wow it is chilly up in them thar hills Barb! Mild today with heavy rains expected.

Glad to hear Clara is feeling better. And that your Mom is doing well...

Thursday - A somber Thursday today as we remember 9-11. Let us never forget all those who have made our freedoms possible and who gave their lives.

Clara is still struggling with her infection, but I think she’s feeling much better today. This is so hard for her as she’s never been ill.

Right now it is 47 degrees! No frost but it can’t be far behind! Fairbanks, Alaska is warmer than we are! OH NO!

Breakfast out of the way and showers taken so out of here shortly.

That is not unusual to have a virus on top of an infection. Hope she feels better soon. Our colds are history - thank goodness.

Off - see you all later.

Wednesday – Storms rolled in after midnight. UGLY What can I say.

Clara wasn’t feeling good mid-day yesterday again. I think she has a virus on top of the infection. **SIGH** She ate a little, so that’s an improvement.

Much cooler weather on the way – highs in the mid to upper 60’s . Guess Fall is trying to make her presence known.

Mom had a good day yesterday, so I am grateful for that. Still dealing with some residual hives but the medication seems to be helping as she’s not itchy now. PHEW.

Kelly: It was cool to see the moon in the morning yesterday. Not seeing anything but RAIN this morning! UGH

LOLOL I’m blonde and have lots of those moments! BWAHAHAHA

Sunny: I found that too. Once the sugar was out of my system, I didn’t crave it. Carbs being the sugar.

Salt – same way! Once I got used to not using salt, I don’t really miss it. Oh, I use a little but not much at all, especially considering how I used to salt . . . LOTS!

Hope your DH’s appointment goes well today.

Sharon: Awwww, so happy you had some face time w/your DS. ((((HUGS))))

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country. Guess the Prez has a speech tonight. We shall see what he has to say.

We started some time ago but then fell off of it when I went away to my reunion and then came home to company. I notoriously don't do well when I have to be away or if I have company. Now back to it and determined to lose some more weight. Pumped up seeing the positive results on the scale.

Monsoon rain (well just about) here last night. It started early evening and continued all night long. I am sure we got several inches as the local weather forecast is calling for localized flooding.

We love Extreme Weight Loss and did enjoy the show last night. We put AGT on devo and watched it afterwards.

Sharon, so glad you had some face time with your Son.

Hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday. Cooler temps mean Hot Cocoa again. Yea!

Love you all, Sunny

I didn't realize you and hubs were already following it, certainly works for you two! Funny, desperately looking for something to watch since the US Open is over and came across Extreme Weight Loss - never heard of it. So watched it. Again, frustration over the obsession with the scale. Hope they give a lot of NSV as well. The young lady last night may have a future with active kids, she sure looked like she enjoyed it and it wasn't a one time deal.

Awwww, Sharon at least you got some face time with your son. How's the mom-to-be and when is she due, I forget.

Have a good day, quiet one around here. Should do some menu planning and grab some fresh freggies.

Quick drive-by just to say Hi and read all the news. . . Glad to hear Clara is feeling better, Barb!

Sunny, prayers with you for DH eczema appt tomorrow. It's nice that you can make an outing of it.

Kelly, glad to read your sketti dinner was a win-win for all!

Can't even imagine how you could eat as little as 20 carbs a day . . . Almost everything has carbs in it. Will be interested in hearing more about the book. . .

Saw the moon last night in OH! Spectacular! So clear - I miss that where we live. Too much ambient light. BTW, got to see son on Skype over the weekend, although not much talking; He was catching up with wife and watching his little girl. I felt so bad for all concerned. . .

Nite all . . .

I am surprised Kelly at how good we are doing and we don't feel deprived of anything. We both crave sweets but allow ourselves an Atkins treat once a day. We have a lean protein, fresh vegetables & low carb fruits. So far so good. I do like the days I can have more carbs and it is on those days that we have had our pasta and bread. It is working for us.

I will check Amazon on the books and also check my local library. Thanks!

Hugs to you, Sunny

How cool to see the moon in the morning!

Sunny, i'd see if you can get the book at the library before spending that kind of money. 20 carbs a day? That seems awfully little to do for any length of time. I had heard of it but didn't realize it was that restrictive. I think I'd last about one cycle, in fact I know I would.

Amazing how water weight can just grab you? High five on the scale though.

Well, had a blonde moment...class starts next week.

Tuesday – significantly cooler! Started out sunny, but got more cloudy. So . . . unable to see the harvest moon last night. DID get to see it early this morning. Gorgeous.

Going to have to continue to put the garden to sleep for the winter. HATE that. It just means winter is around the corner, and that’s not a good thought! LOL

Hope y’all have a great Tuesday.

Kelly: Couldn’t see the Harvest Moon last night, but saw it early this morning. Have fun with the Citizens Trooper Academy tonight.

Sunny: Glad you had a good Bible Study.

Yes, I’ve heard of Chris Powell’s carb cycling. Didn’t try it, though. First learned of it on the Dr. Oz show. It makes sense. But, for me, being diabetic, it just wouldn’t work. I do vary my calories between a window of 1200 – 1400 calories, and my body seems to like that.

HUGS and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

What fun Kelly. The police department in Quincy offers a class but you have to be a resident of Quincy. We are outsiders from Mo. When I first went to work at the hospital, the Director of Nursing (who actually lived around the corner from me) warned me that the employees from Quincy liked to tease the Missouri employees. It wasn't long after that that a doctor ask me if I heard the news that they were putting a new Zoo in Missouri. When I told him I had not heard that, he said, "yep, they are going to put a fence around the whole dang state." Now that is just not right although it was pretty funny.

Sharon, how was the party? Can't wait to hear about it.

I went to my new Bible Study last night. It is on Prayer and I have become very conscious of the need to grow in this area. We watched a video and next week we will tackle Chapter # 1.

DH and I weighed in this morning. He is down to 217 from 230 and I am down to 180.6 from 188.9. I think most of the weight I put on while I was gone to the reunion was water weight. So pleased with today's weigh in. I was looking on line for something else and found that this diet (3 days with 20 or less carbohydrates and the 4th day, no limit on carbs) has a name. It is called Carb Cycling and was developed by Cris Powell of Extreme Weight Loss. I am going to order his book. Here is the link to the website explaining Carb Cycling. There are actually 4 plans.

chrispowell.com/carb-cycling-101/

I am off to get some work done. Do have a Terrific Tuesday.

Oh man, the sky was so clear last night and it was a super moon, actually the last one for the year and I just read it was the Harvest moon too. Seemed a bit early but...

Tonight I start the Citizens Trooper Academy with the Highway Patrol. Should be fun and informative. I always seem to miss the one with the Police Department and will eventually get that one done too.

Have a good one, hugs and lots o' prayers!

Hmmm, all of yesterday's chatter didn't show up on my board. Had to go to the team page to get it, odd and it seems to happen once in awhile.

Hope Clara is all better by now. Sorry that you all missed the event. Think Mom was also disappointed at not seeing her girls too. Had no idea your other sister has cancer too, wow your family has been hit hard hasn't it? This is the first time I have ever heard of that type of cancer, wow! Too bad all cancers aren't getting the push that breast cancer is and that's all I will say about that. That is a wonderful story on how Clara got her name.

I used to be 5'8" too. I have a couple of friends that are under 5' as well as a sister-in-law; they take no crap from anyone so it must be part of the gene you get to make up for size. Love your profile picture, meant to mention it was nice to see it instead of a blank space. Guess didn't realize you didn't have something there til you put something in.

Can't wait to hear about the party Sharon. How long are you staying?

Had a cool day yesterday but very cloudy so didn't see the moon. Cloudy and in the 80's today but back to the 90's tomorrow. Guess the hayfever season is coming upon us. Woke up congested and sneezy, well it is September after all.

The sketti dinner was a huge success. Not just in terms of community but financially for the family. The man is doing well and looks like it'll be a full recovery.

Hugs and Prayers!

Wishing much luck w/the appointment on Wednesday.

Yes, Mom was still a bit upset yesterday, but understood seemingly. **SIGH**

Monday – Well, a much quieter day yesterday, thankfully. Clara is feeling better. That is the best news.

Off early today, so wanted to get a walk in before heading out. Felt good to start the day with a walk.

Even though it wasn’t a super moon, the moon last night was really pretty.

Hope it’s a good Monday for you all.

Barb - sounds like my DIL's family. She is the only one under 5'. We love her andshe fits into our family like a glove. It seems she has always been a part of our family. Our Son is always saying he is going to have her shoes "bronzed".

Busy week this week! The appointment for DH's eczema is this week in Columbia, Mo. It is on Wednesday and is later in the day so will go to the appointment then have dinner there, and then drive home. It will be a nice day away.

So glad your Mom is feeling a little better and has calmed down.

I am off to finish reading my e-mail and then make the beds. I washed all the linens so now need to make the beds. A friend of mine may be coming from Springfield this week.

Hugs, Sunny

Got Mom calmed down about missing the fundraiser. My cousin understood. It's just ashame. She has battled adenocarcinoma (salivary gland cancer) for about 10 yrs. She was diagnosed after my sis was diagnosed with lymphoma. There are fundraisers for both her adenocarcinoma and my sis' lymphoma. **SIGH** Too darned much cancer. Time to find a cure.

Quick check-in tonight as bandwidth and wi-fi aren't cooperating. . . Party was a huge success yesterday, and everyone had a good time. Leah had her first experience with a helium baloon, and let's just say it was pure joy and happiness. I'll write more when I get home on my own computer.

Hope Clara is feeling better, Barb. Sorry you all had to miss your annual event with your sister.

Sunny glad to read you had a good time with all of your activities these last couple of weeks.

Kelly how was the sketti dinner? Hope you are doing well, too.

The other part of the name story for my daughter is that we wanted an American name that meant the equivalent of the Korean name she'd been given. As it turns out, Clara was a match. So cool!

Good questions! Clara is 19 (going on 39??? Or so she thinks. LOL) Her middle name is Rose, after my paternal grandmother. Originally we were going to name her SARA Rose, but my MIL (RIP) had a conniption. She said, "You can't name someone after a living person." AT that time she was living, and I had NO idea that was part of her belief system. So, I was adamant about finding a name to go with Rose. As it turns out, Clara was HER MOTHER'S name (and she was deceased, so this worked out with her.) Complicated, eh! LOL

What is her middle name? My Mother's name was Clara Pearl . Dad called her CP, Clara Pearl but most of the time, Honey Davis.

How old is Clara?

Take care and thanks for the clarification...
