Kelly:

fridge/freezer - the bloody thing is only 4 yrs. old. GRRrrrr. I have a hunch it may be a frozen ice-maker line to. We'll see. Bit the bullet and the appliance tech is coming out this afternoon (Lord -- it's like trying to get an engraved invite from THE MAN HIMSELF to get a window of time when they might appear. Oh well. I have my list of things to do and will be available this afternoon. Hope he shows!

car - the anti-lock brake light is on. It could be just a "fluke" that needs to be fixed. OR the electrical system OR the line itself. Don't know. DANG Goes in on Saturday.

**MAJOR SIGH**

OMG, the micro/convection combos STARTED @ $400! YIKES

Is there a kitchen gremlin in your house Barb? Besides checking the coils in back and on the bottom, what happened to me recently was the icemaker line backed up. They said I could probably take care of it myself but as they were telling me how my eyes just glazed over and paid them to do it. It took him quite awhile so I made the right choice. The fridge is 22. I don't see them that often but I'd like to get a micro/convection combo. A neighbor has one (now 11 yrs old) and uses it often. Oh wait, when I build in Florida there won't be a kitchen emoticon

So what was with the car? Did it catch something from Sharon's car? I need to get mine in for an oil change and have the transmission checked. Glad to hear Jason had a good first day.

Thanks for the info on sand plums Sunny. I had heard of one of those names but never knew what they were. Good luck on your hunt. That crust recipe looks so easy! I don't have a processer but I will give it a try the old fashioned way. Geez now I'm craving pizza. When I was in San Jose got a veggie one which was so good except I would have liked more artichoke on it. When the gal asked, told her it was really really good and even if I weren't so hungry it would still be good but would have liked more artichoke. Next thing I knew, she brought more over!!! Would have gone back for dinner but had already turned in the car and it was too far to walk. I find myself more and more ordering either all cheese or veggies.

Thiry, take care of yourself - deep, deep breaths. Seems like Pastor needs a bedside manner class when trying to hand out "tough love". Don't know why hubby turned down that offer (other than he seemed to be a bit shady, or was that a different job) hope hubby set the record straight. Might be time to find a new church. Shame that your daughter having the opportunity to go to a great school and play soccer didn't give her the tools into the future. Good luck at Ortho! emoticon Folks with any connection to medical make the worst patients sometimes.

Happy dance you got have some scrambled face time with your son! Extra bubbles for him.
I hear you about the changes but those danged ads are going to be their downfall. They put them back on the start page and took the team points and made you click on still another thing. If it weren't for you all and a few other pals I'd been gone by now.

Have a great day, hugs and Prayers to all!

Tuesday – Jason had a good day yesterday! Hurray. His new boss even took him out to lunch! So, all is well on that front.

Have an appointment for the van to be serviced on Saturday. Glad of that. It is the anti-lock function that doesn’t work. The mechanic said it’s safe to drive till then. NO plans to drive far!

Paid the last of the real estate taxes. OY Financially painful!

The fridge/freezer, still seems to be doing ok, so we’ll see what the day brings. Not going to wait if there’s a problem, though.

What a gloriously mild day. My kind of temps – low 70’s.

Here’s to a terrific Tuesday.

Sharon: Rant on my dear! I FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT THE HUDDLE! Don’t get me started. It is apparent it won’t change but know you’re not alone!

OMG. . . I am so glad that Jason had a good first day too. But sheesh, wish that things would hold it together! DANG. No we didn’t get a new micro yet. I am just stunned @ the prices. Good grief! I really don’t use my micro for cooking – just heating. Short of the micro shopping, chopping and preparing my food I’m not dropping $400 - $600 for it! So . . . gonna peruse the internet and see what’s up. I think there should be sales around Labor Day, so I’m willing to wait if that’s what it takes!

Yes, done the back-of-the-fridge vacuuming. Going to have to make an appointment today, though, I think. Will definitely look @ Angie’s List for recommendations.

Oh my, I am soooooo glad that you got to talk w/your son. **SIGH** It’s so hard. Hope your DIL is feeling better. Awwww, bless his heart, sounds like he’s retained a sense of humor. DEFINITELY a requirement over there. ((((HUGS))))

Thiry: I agree. . . . sounds like you’re going to have to hog tie your BFF to get her to cooperate. **SIGH** But, as the old adage goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make ‘em drink.

Your sister and Karma -- well, sometimes it happens. I just hope your DD grows up (and mine too!) I just don't know if it's in the air or the water or both! Good grief!

AS for that pastor, well . . . ‘fraid I’d be done, done, done! That’s just me. I don’t take kindly to a chewing out . . . unless it’s well deserved!

Travel safely and good luck w/your appointment.

Kelly and Sunny: Hope it’s a good Tuesday. Catch up later!

SUNNY – Yes it does seem that DD is up to her old ways and my sister is finding out what we went through with her (Karma). I hope that someday she does grow up but not holding my breath. I really didn’t feel comfortable leaving my BFF today but had to come home for my follow-up doctor appointment for my arm. I am going to head back sometime tomorrow afternoon after I take care of a few things here including checking with the state and federal offices on filing her quarterly taxes and trying to get the company name straightened out as the first name she wanted was being used by a church so had to change it but the only paperwork she has was received with the first name she tried to use and she was told they only send out those papers once. That don’t make since to me but we all know how the government works. She is planning to go in to do the work tomorrow since I am not there to help. I had my high school reunion a couple weeks ago. Didn’t really have a good turnout and the people that did show up weren’t ones that I hung around with. Glad Joshua had a good party.
KELLY – Thanks for the good wishes on my appointment, preparing for the worst at the appointment. I think my BFF overdid it today as a matter of fact. She had her daughter bring her to work and spend about 1-1.5 hours there checking on the clients of which 2 of them told her to go home and rest. When I got to the apartment after finishing at work she started cleaning the litter box and carried the bag with dirty litter from the bathroom to the front door. She asked if I would take it to the dumpster to which I said yes. I had a bunch of my stuff that I was taking to the car in preparation of coming home and looked up to see her carrying the bag toward the dumpster. I hollered at her to put it down and that I was heading back in to grab it. She didn’t and finished carrying it to the dumpster. Needless to say she was hurting as she strained herself carrying the bag. When I left she was going back and forth between hot flashes and being chilled. Her forehead was cool and clammy. Oh ya and when she came to work she hadn’t taken any pills as she was planning to try to get off them so she can take care of her clients. The pain started overtaking her by the time she got back home and took a nap.
BARB – wow it does sound like you had a bad day. Hopefully things will improve for you. Prayers for Jason and his first day. Yes hopefully someday DD will grow up but as I said before I’m not holding my breath in the meantime. Thanks for the good wishes on my appointment. Glad to hear that Jason had a good first day at his new job.
SHARON – Thank you, you may be right, I may have to tie her down and then force feed her as she isn’t eating and taking the pain pills then wondering why she is getting nauseous. And go figure her job involves administering meds to her clients so she needs to know things like taking some with food to prevent an upset stomach. Thanks for the good wishes on my appointment. Yes I hope DD does come to her senses also but if she follows her brother and sisters footsteps it could take years for that to happen.

When I got home tonight DH told me that our Senior Pastor chewed him out today. I asked what happened and he said he called to talk to him for moral support because of everything going on and Pastor chewed him out for not having a job. I guess my old boss (good friend with Pastor) told Pastor that he offered to pay for DH to take the truck driving class at the local college but DH didn’t accept. This isn’t the first time that Pastor has done something like this. Several years ago when we went to him because of marital problems we were both chewed out by him. DH because he “looked like he jumped out of bed, got dressed and headed to church without combing his hair” and me because I wasn’t attending church on a regular basis. At the time I was working during the week at the office and also working every weekend at the motel, working 16 to 26 hours at the motel in 2 days. Now I don’t know about anyone else but when I have worked a 12-13 hour shift (getting off at noon) I am not setting an alarm to attend Saturday evening services at 5:30 when I have to work again at 11 pm. So needless to say I wasn’t making it to church very often as I was working breakfast almost every weekend at that time. Then there was the situation where he asked us if we would put DD in Lutheran High if he could get the tuition covered but never told us that the tuition would only be covered for 1 year and that there were conditions for DH and myself involved in the plan. If we had known all this we wouldn’t have moved her to Lutheran High.

Well better get some things done as the house is a pig sty (DH home alone for a week), laundry to get done before heading back to Omaha and lots of mail and papers to sort through. Have a great week.

Thiry

Do you all mind if I start off with a Monday rant? I hate the fact that when I click on a team page, I have to scroll halfway down to get to the team forums! emoticon It's a waste of time and energy! I think they should put the huddle back on the side so we can get to business of bonding and posting with our teams! Thanks, I needed that, I feel so much better!

Sunny, thanks for your comments on my hair and wings emoticon . My hair is even shorter than it is in my profile picture - it's about a half an inch long on the sides, and a couple of inches on the top. I have yet to find a style that looks good on me. Had long hair in high school, college, and until I got married. It's been short ever since, but I have baby fine hair with absolutely no body, and when it gets more than about 3 inches long, I just can't do anything with it.

Your pizza sounds good. I do love a good roasted veggie and goat cheese pizza! I rarely make my own dough, though. My new fave is a four cheese white pizza. I am addicted to the one they make at the Italian restaurant just about a half a mile from our house. Their dough is as light as air, good flavor and good bite, and they cook it in a wood fired brick oven. Oh my goodness it is delicious. It has become our Sunday night staple while watching a movie. We eat half and save the rest for later in the week - one less dinner to plan. Throw a side salad next to it and we're good to go!

I had never heard of sand plums either! Thanks for the link.

Kelly, glad you are okay from the storms. I'm with you. I hate those storms any time of the day or night!

Thiry wish you good luck with you BFF. Sounds like you are going to have to tie her down emoticon . Good luck too with your ortho app't. Hope your DD comes to her senses sooner than later.

Geez Barb! Just so glad that Jason is back to work! The universe was waiting for Jason to get to work weren't they?! Have you vacuumed the coils on the back of your freezer lately? Look on Angie's List for car coupons. How about Jiffy Lube? Did you get your new microwave? If so, what kind did you get? We need to think about that too. Ours is about 15 or more years old, and the wattage is lower than most of them these days.

DS called via Skype yesterday. Facetime wouldn't work at all, and Skype didn't do so hot either. Sounded in good spirits, but conversation was very garbled and broken up. Still did my heart good to hear from him. Was in the high 90s after 9 PM. Working 12 hr days, 6 days a week. Says it keeps him off the streets.

Good night all - time for bed. . . Good night Barb, Good night Kelly, Good night Sunny, Good night Thiry , Good night John Boy . . . emoticon

Sunny: The dang fridge/freezer is only 4 yrs. old! But I'm watching it. Seems ok . . . today.

Jas is on his way home but did call and say he had a good day! HURRAY!!!!! Has the huge Policy and Procedure manual to "memorize" (uh huh -- right -- committed to memory it shall be BWAHAHAHA!) Fortunately, it's pretty standard info, so he'll be good to go.

Thanks for the explanation and link about the sand plums!

Enjoy the pizza!

Wow - what a day, Barb. Did you get the new Microwave today? Can't wait to hear how Jason does on his first day.

Just watch that freezer. One of our freezers went out and since it was in the garage, we didn't know it for a while. YIKES~! What a mess. DS just put it on a flat bed and hauled the whole works off. He qualified for saint status doing this. It was a huge mess.

Sand plums are wild plums that grow wherever there is a sandy loamy soil. They have also been called Sandhill plums or Chickasaw Plums. They are tart but make the best jelly. My DIL said she thought there was a couple of trees/bushes on the property where they used to live and she will check with the owners to see if I can pick them. Here is a link.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand_plum

BTW, my hair cut is exactly like it is in the photo. I love it as it is just so easy to take care of it. Thanks Kelly for the kind words.

Well, best get the pizza dough started. I am making veggie pizza and using the Whole Wheat Dough recipe I found on Spark People. It is so good. Veggies tonight are Zucchini, onion, green peppers, mushrooms, and Jalapeños.

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough (so good!)
Ingredients~

3/4 tsp salt
2 tsps olive oil
1/2 cup hot water
1 package quick rising yeast
1/4 tsp sugar
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour

Directions~

Combine whole wheat flour, yeast, salt and sugar in food processor; pulse to mix.
Combine hot water and oil in a measuring cup. With the motor running, gradually pour in enough of the hot liquid until the mixture forms a sticky ball.
The dough should be quite soft. If it is dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water; if too sticky add 1 to 2 tablespoons flour. Process until the dough forms a ball, then process for 1 minute to kneed.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.
Spray a sheet of plastic with cooking spray and place it, sprayed side down, over the dough.
Let the dough rest for 10-20 minutes before rolling.
Bake at 375 °F. for 15 minutes.
Note: this dough will keep in a greased bag in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Enjoy!

See you all tomorrow.

Hugs, Sunny

Monday – well, this is it! Jason’s first day. Off early to be on time!

Yesterday . . . not the best, dang! Microwave quit so went looking for a new one. On the way to store #2 the brake light came on. OH NUTS! So, had to call it quits and come home. Hopefully will get it taken care of today.

Then arrived home to a problem with the freezer. NO NO NO! Did a few things and it seems to be working now. Thank goodness!

So that was our adventure yesterday. Praying Jason has a good day . . . I know he will.

Wow! The temperature right now is 52 degrees . . . in July! Feels good to me, but unexpected. Will get up to 70. Weather flip-flop I guess.

Sharon: I have this mental pic of your “wings”! Too cute. Glad you like your hair cut. I always feel better after that too. Kelm Kaddilhopper indeed! OMG used to love Red Skelton.

I could not imagine going back to the long hair I had in my “past life as a youth.” UGH No thank you very much. Not now. Too busy to devote the time it takes! I am going to keep my short hair too.

Indeed, I think Jas will break MULTIPLE pencils taking notes! LOL

Thiry: Oh I would be more than a LITTLE OFFENDED if DD ignored me, but that was her choice and you can’t control it, cure it and didn’t cause it. Sheesh! Sound like sooooooooo much maturing in life to be done for her. Hope it happens.

Hope that your ortho appointment goes well.

Sunny: Glad that the birthday party was a success! Wahoo.

As for the sand plumbs . . . what are they????? Never heard of that.

Wow . . . the kids go back in 2 weeks!?? I guess they do here too.

Glad you’re safe from the storms.

Well signing off. Thanks for all the support and the good wishes on this long road! HUGS

HUGS and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country!

Thiry, sometimes it takes for her to wear herself out doing a minimal task to get her attention. That's what usually got my attention the few times I had surgery. Sounds like she may realize it's in her best interest to slow down. The only thing I can suggest is if she is determined is for you to offer to do it with her, so it can get done quicker and you can be there just in case she runs out of steam.

Adding my best for you at your Ortho appointment!

Wow, Jason starts so soon, that is great, WHOOT! Sharon, you're funny, break a pencil! What came to mind was that sports broadcaster that always has a yellow Ticonderoga pencil in his hand. Geez what's his name…Anyway, may he have that success.

Sunny, if your hair is cut like your pic, it really is beyond cute on you. I remember when you first cut it and that was a great cut too! I bet your cut is cute Sharon and of course you have wings, angel wings. Some people just wear them differently. And you're just a loveable as Klem, but much better looking!

I hope you get to go fishing soon Sunny. Maybe go with Josh. That'll be a nice day for him, to be with his Dad and spend some time with his nephew. Seems like summer is just slipping away this year. Here it is almost August. The kids go back to school in less than two weeks.

That'll be good to spend some time with your friend. Am I the only one who doesn't have a clue - sand plumbs?

We had non-stop twinkle lightening for quite awhile. When it first started I thought the house next door was on fire, it was weird because it's been awhile since seeing something like that. Heavy rains and I'm sure minor damage. Other areas weren't so lucky. Really dislike these night time storms.

Well, should get a move on have a great Monday!

Wow - you all have been busy. Yesterday, we went to Church and out to eat with friends. I didn't choose wisely so need to work on that.

Joshua's BD party was a success and he took home the left overs. He is coming over today to go fishing with his Dad and our DGS. Hope they catch some fish. I haven't been fishing this year but will wait my turn. Cooler temps today will be a relief. 77 for our high today - woohoo! It looks as though summer might be history before long.

HS reunion is coming up fast (end of August) and I am looking forward to seeing my BFF who lives in Denver. She e-mailed me saying we must take some time for us while we are home for the reunion. If the sand plumbs are still in season, we will go pick some. I lost all my juice from last year when our freezer went out not too long ago. Ugh!

Thiry, sounds like your DD is up to her old ways. Bless her heart - hope she grows up some day and I am sure you do too. Acting that way is very juvenile. Hope your BFF continues to improve and you feel comfortable leaving her on her own. Does she have anyone else to help her?

Sharon, I have very short hair and love it! I tried to grow it out but it bothered me so had her cut it all off the last appointment. Hubs likes it - says I have the perfect head shape for it. What a guy!

Kelly, saw where you were having storms. Do stay in and stay safe. We had lightening like that last Friday. It was scary, knocked out the power to one of our local TV stations and it took most of the day to get it restored.

Barb, sounds like you had a nice weekend. Thinking of Jason today as he starts his new job. So excited for him!!

See you all later. Huggers, Sunny

KELLY – you are probably right about DS’s girlfriend. If they get serious and possibly marry it will be good for her to know what this family is like beforehand. Also if you can come up with any ideas for helping me keep my BFF down for a while I am willing to hear them. She didn’t go clean the office today and didn’t even mention it. I know she didn’t go anywhere that involves driving as I have her car keys so she can’t even get in the garage to get the car out let alone take the car anywhere.
BARB – Oh yes I know she saw me at the fairgrounds as I saw her also. She turned and went the other way instead of coming on towards the way that would mean passing by me. She also came by the area a while later and stood off to the side watching the magic show and I was only maybe 20 feet away. I hope that DS follows through on my request that he not give his sister any information about me and tells her that if she wants to know anything about me she needs to contact me. I doubt that she will call or text as she don’t want me to know her new phone number. You are right about leading a horse and that definitely fits my BFF. She has told me that she is going with me in the morning as she needs to get some quarters to do laundry. I think she has some other things in mind also but not sure what as of yet. I told her that the instructions about resting she gave me 1.5 months after getting out of the hospital also goes to her having just gotten out of the hospital as she needs to recover and regain her strength.
SHARON – yes definitely deliberate ignoring on DD part. Sounds like you and I have about the same length hair from what you have said. Mine is very short also, still getting used to it but everyone that has commented on it has liked it. As a matter of fact last weekend at church our senior pastor looked at me as we were leaving and said “your hair”. I thought he said you’re here. He looked at me and said, “no your hair, you chopped it all off.” I told him yes and that it had been that way the prior weekend to which he said he hadn’t noticed. I thing that might be because of the fact he was noticing my sling at that time. I wanted to see that movie when it was in the theaters but at the time we went DH & DD decided to watch a different one that I wasn’t as interested in but since it was a “family” outing I caved and went to the movie they wanted.

I will be filling in again for my BFF again tomorrow but then heading home tomorrow afternoon so I can be in Norfolk for my appointment with the bone specialist Tuesday morning. Hoping that all is going well with my arm but still resigning myself to the fact that I may need surgery on my arm. May be back down here Wednesday through Friday but then will need to be back in Norfolk to work at the motel this weekend. I’m not sure who will cover the clients on Tuesday when I have to be at the doctor but thinking about talking to my BFF’s son tomorrow before I leave to see if there is anything he can do to help cover the clients for his mom while I have to be gone.

I had a hard time staying awake today while trying to do some things on the computer. I think I drifted off several times throughout the afternoon and evening. Now I am basically wide awake and know that I have to be up between 5:30 & 6 am to get to the facility then sometime in the afternoon I will be driving home so I guess I had better lay down and see if I can’t drift off and get some sleep.

Take care and have a good week
Thiry

Thiry I agree with Barb. You know that the ignoring was deliberate. Hope you've convinced your sons to stay quiet on what's up with you.

Go hair cut - feel about 2 pounds lighter! I mean it's SHORT, but that's okay. I told hairdresser I had "wings" on the side. emoticon I felt like Klem Kaddiddlehopper!

Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was quiet. Watched a couple of movies - 42- the story of Jackie Robinson. Good story and good acting. Today watched Batman Begins - dark as many of those genre have come to be, but wanted to watch it to see how Batman came to be. Love Michael Caine as Arthur. Good story, too.

Tell Jason to "break a pencil" tomorrow, Barb!

Kelly hope you did something fun this weekend!

Later all . . . emoticon

Thiry: Oh boy. I would definitely have done just as you did telling your DS if your daughter wants information about you she should call or text YOU. And for goodness sakes, if she SAW you @ the fairgrounds, that means she was close enough she could have come up to you and spoken to you! Moot point now. Good grief!

Hope your friend follows her instructions re: taking care of herself! It's hard to lead a horse to water when they won't drink, eh!

Sharon: Hope the new "do" works!

Sunny: Enjoy the grandson!

Sunday – sunny, comfortable, happy! Had a very nice celebratory supper last night and today . . . get ready for DH’s big day. He’s whistling a happy tune!

Thiry, might be best that the girlfriend gets an earful that way down the road she can't say she didn't know the "craziness", that will also let him know that she may very well be a keeper. Glad you got to have that talk though.

What are we going to do with your friend? A relapse is something she won't handle very well. By the way, dinner sounded good. I've got cauliflower breadsticks on the mind for today, it's a popular favorite in Florida so I'm going to try my hand at it. Will share the recipe later.

Sunny, how nice to have your grandson for awhile. And belated birthday wishes to Josh

So how do you like your new do, Sharon?

Forgot to pick up what makes a real margarita so that will have to wait.

It was breezy yesterday but really hot, not sure what today will bring. Everyone enjoy their Sunday. I'm going to grab the peddler and ride along for awhile with the Tour de France. Sure has been nice watching the rerun at night, cuts down the boredom, now what I have to find something else to do all the fun stuff is over for awhile.

Hugs and Prayers!

BARB – Thank you. We are hoping for the same thing and soon.
SUNNY – Glad your BBQ went well. Prayers for Josh. Hope you have fun with William. I’ve seen postings for the song on Face Book but haven’t had the chance to listen to it as of yet. Happy birthday to Joshua.
SHARON – Thank you for your prayers. My BFF came home from the hospital yesterday and started taking her dog out for walks already today. He is a German Shepard – retired police dog so if he yanks on the leash he could cause some damage to the surgical area. I was cooking a Cauliflower recipe tonight and she went into the kitchen. I told her not to touch anything, that I was going to get everything cleaned up when I was finished cooking the cauliflower and get the pans back into the oven for storage. She did leave it all alone.
KELLY – She is trying to do things that she shouldn’t do but she is sleeping quite a lot today which is good and what she needs. I had her car keys with me so know that she wouldn’t be able to get in her car and drive when she isn’t supposed to be driving. She is also supposed to take it easy for 3 weeks but is insisting that she has to clean her son’s office tomorrow and said that on Tuesday when I have to be home for my follow up doctor appointment for my arm that she is going to go to work since I won’t be here. I think either tomorrow or Monday I will have to call him and see if he can’t arrange someone to help with the clients for the day since I can’t be here. Don’t have any red with me but wore my pink shirt on Friday. I haven’t really heard much about that tornado but have been busy between taking care of my BFF’s clients from 7 am to noon then coming to the apartment to fix some lunch and take the dog out then heading to the hospital to visit my BFF.

Thursday evening I met with my DS and his girlfriend for supper. We met at Old Chicago here in Omaha. We had a good meal and spent some time talking. He is very upset with his sister and from what he said their oldest brother is getting fed up with her also. He did also inform me that nobody has heard from her for a week, not even my sister who she is supposed to be living with (and who she minds even though she don’t mind me) – go figure. I guess the honeymoon there is over. All I can say is that “paybacks” are hell and my sister is getting her payback from my DD. My DS also said the DD saw me at the fairgrounds a couple weeks ago and then texted him to see what he knew about why I had my arm in a sling. He told her what he knew. I thing that in the future I am going to ask him to tell her that if she wants information about me to tell her that she needs to contact me and have him not give her the info she wants. We also talked about a lot of things involving his older brother did that he didn’t remember or know about. I think he now sees things in a different light. He was very understanding and sympathetic that night. The only thing is that his girlfriend really got quite an earful about our family that night.

I tried a new recipe for CREAMY CAULIFLOWER, CHEDDAR CHEESE AND BACON tonight which turned out really well and tasted great. I found it on Face Book a while back but finally got the ingredients to make it and glad that I did.

Well need to get to bed so I can be up in the morning to take care of the clients. Take care.

I don't think Sugarland is breaking up but just making single albums as a way to express themselves apart from one another. I think both single albums have done well. Jennifer also is on tour to promote her single album. She is due to perform in Memphis on the 1st of August.

Today is Joshua's birthday so fixing his BD dinner for him - pasta with homemade marinara sauce, garlic bread and a mixed greens salad. It is going to be a day over the stove again. hehehe.

I do have to finish preparing my Sunday School lesson so headed to the sun room soon.

Do have a Super Saturday.

emoticon we all have our coin jars going! Found a goo, fairly inexpensive Prosecco - Cupcake is the brand, and had some today again only this time in a real mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice. I can get it for about $9.00 a bottle around here. It had some nice fruity undertones, is not as dry as champagne, and complimented the juices nicely. All of the Cupcake wines are a good value.

Kelly, you'll have to let us know how the watermelon drinks turn out. I really wanted to try them.

I love Sugarland, and hope that they are just taking a break. Their voices and music are truly amazing. It would be too bad if they split for good. . .

Sunny, that Margarita sounds good too!

If you find a great frozen recipe, post it. We'll need it over the weekend!

Take care gals!

Thanks for that Fresh Pineapple Margarita recipe! VROOM . . . that’s me on the way for some pineapple!

Yes, I cry every time I listen to it.

Sharon: Pineapple Mimosa! PROSECO! Delicios-o! My brother had some when he was in Italy 2 wks. ago and is hooked! That sounds awesome! Though it might be WATERMELON! (SORRY!) Yes, Jason joined in the toast. He’s looking for a frozen something-something this weekend (as in our Frozen Hot Chocolate!) so will get some fixings.

Yes, a recipe for a margarita that isn't frozen!!!! I'd make that without the tequila too. Besides, pineapple is really, really good for you.

So Jennifer broke from Sugarland or what's that story. I live here in Nashville and am generally clueless as to what is going on. John had a crush on Reba. The pictures in that video are just heartwarming aren't they?

Our grandson is going into his senior year of high school...how'd that happen? The football team is kicking off the school year and season with doing a project for Habitat then doing a banquet this evening. The coaches asked the players parents and families to write letters. Great idea. Sunny I saw a picture of your granddaughter, wow how time flies she's going to be a senior too?

Sharon, we love Reba and Rich has a crush on Jennifer. hehehe We just got her new album as a single and I like it. Wonder if she will still be doing anything with Sugarland? I haven't really heard.

I agree I was very shocked to see that a tornado tore through VA. So sad the lives lost at that camp site.

I have a meeting at Church (for Circle) at 12:30 so headed into town early to have lunch with a friend.

You all take care and have a Fab Friday. I will be waring my Red and praying for our brave warriors and our country. Do take time to watch the Reba video. It is an amazing song and will give you goose bumps. It there is any time we need to be praying for peace, it is definitely now.

Hugs to you all, Sunny

I am all for a gathering...so will be putting some coins away for it. It would be so much fun.

I bet pineapple and prosecco is a great combo and pineapple is good for you too! I'm going to try both your drinks in your blog over the week-end.

Hope all is well with your friend Thiry and she is behaving herself.

Wow, saw that a tornado tore through northern VA yesterday. Just downright bizarre and sad.

I say YESSSSS to a gathering, let's start putting some coin away in a jar for it.

Will have my RED on today, along with Prayers for our brave warriors and Country. Have a good one...

Well, Barb, I had a Pineapple Mimosa - didn't have OJ, but had pineapple juice, and just brought some prosecco earlier. It was tasty! Did Jason join you, Barb?

Sunny glad to hear all was a success, and that your GS will be staying with you. Enjoy the time . . .

Thiry keeping your DH in thoughts and prayers, and hope your BFF heeds her inner self and allows her body to rest and recoup.

Thanks all for going to read my Watermelon Blog. This is what started the Great Watermelon Explosion! I wanted to make most of those recipes! I guess the Watermelon was going for the Watermelon Smash recipe! emoticon

I'll have to check out Reba's new song; I really like her especially her Woman In Me Album. She's defintiely got a good set of pipes on her! But then again so do Jennifer Nettles, and Martina McBride, and many others.

Thanks to one and all for attending the virtual Party for Barb and Jason! I had a great time, and I hope you all did, too! We are going to have to do this in person one of these days! emoticon

I clicked on it and Reba's song came up. She sings Pray for Peace only for quiet a while but then it eventually gets into the song. Got to go and read Sharon's watermelon blog.

Hope the song comes up for you. If not, go to you tube and enter Pray for Peace.

Hugs, Sunny

Me again...
I'll check out your pictures. The only thing I could pull up on her song was nothing more than a chorus. I'll take another look using your link.

I missed a few blogs over time and just had to come by to comment on Sharon's watermelon blog (excellent piece as always) but wanted to know if you are going to tell how the kitchen tried to make it's own recipe? Sorry, couldn't hep myself.

DH and I will be out so if I miss the celebratory emoticon , just know I am with you in spirit. Can't be happier for you, Barb. That commute does appear to be much better than the other.

The BBQ was a huge success. We ended the evening by building a fire in the fire pit and making smores. I did take advantage of the boys all being here and took pictures. I will post them later today. Josh and a friend of his (in recovery) came early and left early but he did well and enjoyed the time with the family. He is still not drinking but I worry (I guess it is the Mamma in me) as he is not going to AA. I know of people who have managed on their own but it is very difficult. Keep him in your prayers.

Well, best get going. Our DGS, William, has decided to stay a couple of weeks and I am so happy. At first he didn't want to stay then changed his mind. He is starting HS this year so know there will definitely come a day when staying with GM and GP will not his idea of fun. hehehe.

Do have a GREAT day and I will be back later to post some pics.

Thiry: Hope that things work out for employment w/your BFF and one of the custodial positions is snagged by your DH. **SIGH** It's tough!

Sharon: Couldn't agree w/you more. That was my reaction when I saw the flag. **SIGH** SOMETHING has to give in this country and in due time it will. I am sure.

Ok, as for the celebratory celebration . . . YOU'RE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon I am going for a mimosa -- I need the champagne AND WELL . . doesn't OJ make it healthy? LOL

BARB – Thank you for all the good wishes & bubbles for all of us, they are greatly appreciated. Hope the non-surgical approach works for your dad’s hernia. Congratulations to Jason for getting the job.
KELLY – I am hoping that they keep my BFF in the hospital for several days as she will not relax once she gets out and home. She was talking tonight about taking some of her clients to a movie Saturday and about cleaning her son’s office on Sunday. I told her she needed to just take time and let the healing progress so she doesn’t cause herself a setback. Thank you for the good wishes for my also. Lots of fingers crossed that your air keeps working properly.
SUNNY – Thank you for your prayers as they are greatly appreciated. Yes my BFF is very thankful that I am here to help her this week as well as her kids. Her daughter hasn’t been able to be there with her since she and her daughter both have strep throat. My husband always forgets to charge his camera also and sometimes I don’t get a chance to save the pictures from the previous event to the computer so I am hustling to get that done so he has room on his memory card to take more pictures. His card can hold up to 1000 pictures and most of the time he has it almost full. He loves taking pictures.
SHARON – Thank you although my job with my BFF depends on her getting the second facility to work at. Praying that it does happen when her son goes out to the facility in a couple weeks.

I talked with DH earlier this evening and he told me that he is doing job applications with all the school districts in the Omaha area. One district had 4 custodial positions open and he had to apply to each one separately. Another district had 2 positions. It sounds like the only one that he hasn’t gotten on to apply to yet is the Omaha Public Schools as he said he is having trouble getting on their website. He did hear from the school that he had an interview at last week that they hired someone else.

My BFF was feeling a little better this morning but as the day went on she started having a lot more of the breakthrough pain and was very frustrated by the time I left tonight. I had planned to leave somewhat early to get back and try to take care of some things here at the apartment but she didn’t want to be alone so didn’t leave until almost 10 pm. I had to go out through the emergency department to get to my car which was a longer walk than if I had been able to go out the door that I went in. They have a really different way of providing meals for the patients at this hospital. They have a “menu” in the room and the number to call to order your food on the Whiteboard. When you are ready for food you call and order what you want then they prepare the meal and bring it up. They don’t just send up a bunch of meal trays. My BFF ordered supper for both of us when she called to order her food. The only thing about that was that both our meals were on the same plate on the tray.

Well need to shower and get to sleep as I am not used to this schedule yet. Have a good rest of the week. Take care
Thiry

Thiry that's great news for you too! emoticon on your new job and working with your BFF! What fun! Good luck with getting all in order, and the move.

Thanks for the suggestions for the floor. It's improving - no more watermelon smell when you walk in the Kitchen, and, luckily so far, no ants! Did another full mopping yesterday with vinegar and water, and rinsed with water. I may try the straight vinegar again in a few days. I'm pooped and sore! emoticon

Sunny, hope your BBQ was a success, and that you all had lots of fun!

Kelly, glad your AC is OK, and agree with all you said. Haven't seen one liberal go down there with anything yet - so they have no right to point fingers. How is it that they manage to get away with this crap?
The bridge thing is scary. I took it to be a message for the US to surrender . . . scary indeed especially since there is a police presence right there on the bridge!
Saw a piece tonight on Michael Moore, the liberal producer, who is worth $50M, and owns 9 homes. Had the audacity to blame it on his wife's' extravagant taste! Yet he makes these movies that declare Capitalism is evil!
Biden was going around today speaking to NAACP about how the Republicans are trying to take away people's voting rights!
Heard that the administration was warned about ISIS, and asked a year ago to take out the ISIS training camps with drones by the Iraqi President, given the green light from the git-go, and did nothing all this time!
And finally . . . a veteran was in a VA hospital clinic, and everyone left and he was left locked in there! No one apparently knew he was there, and no one bothered to tell him the clinic was closing for the day! WTH?!
I'm with you, Sunny, they need to go, and it can't be soon enough! I think it's time to head to Canada - at least the mayor of Toronto offers some news that's so preposterous you can't help but laugh!
And on that note - good night ladies! emoticon

Sunny: When we lived in IL and he took the job he had, he commuted between IL and Milwaukee and back again daily . . . 2-1/2 hrs. one way. This is not a bad trip @ all.

Thanks! Definitely having a little something-something with supper!!!!

That is great news Barb. That is quiet a commute but I know people who live in Quincy, Ill, and commute to St. Louis (about 75 miles) and they do quiet well. Tell him Congrats!

Glad I stopped by too. Hugs, Sunny

Ok, Ok, really, really busy day . . . but . . . the news of the day is . . .

Jason got a job. NOT the one that he interviewed for in KY this morning!!! This one is in Madison (it's about a 75 mile trip). It will be well suited to him. Hallelujah and praise be! emoticon

Not only charge those batteries, make sure you have room on the camera. My brand new camera didn't have much memory and no where to buy a card or whatever they're called so no pictures of California.

Oh and had the Geo Washington Bridge on my mind, it was the Brooklyn Bridge. Funny, there is a police precinct right there. Ok, donut jokes welcome.

Thiry - how wonderful that you were able to help your friend out. I know she must appreciate you being there. Praying as you and hubs still interview that God will provide the right job for you both.

Sharon - How is the sticky floor? I would have thought the vinegar would have done the trick too. Looks like is is just going to take time.

Kelly - I didn't see the news cast about the white flag over the Geo.Washington Bridge but I did go and check it out. Wow!

Barb - keep us posted about Jason's interview. Praying for the best!

Off of here shortly to get some things done for this evening. First thing, I need to charge the batteries in my camera as I definitely want to get some shots. It has been a long times since we have had all three boys here.

Take care and do have a Wonderful Wednesday.

See you tomorrow if not later this afternoon (when I am taking a break).

Hugs, Sunny

Thiry, they kept me in the hospital longer because they knew I wouldn't stay put at home alone or not. I am so grateful that I had such an easy recovery, so here is a protective recovery bubble for your friend! Continued wishes for things to get better for you as well.

Sunny, happy you are doing so well too! Sounds like quite a BBQ you are getting ready for, YUM!

Everything that can cross, is still crossed for Jason.

I'm surprised the vinegar didn't work. What Pergo told me to use when our daughter waxed our floors with Pledge was to spray straight vinegar on the floors, mop, rinse then use vinegar and water. It took several times. The guy that does our rugs also does tile floors and uses Bona products. Maybe try that. I have a steam mop that works well, it's a first generation Oreck my feeling was if it hadn't been on sale it would have gone back. Bless the kids heart, they were living with us and we were out of town, she thought she'd do the floors. They were beautiful if you liked an ice rink. So Sharon, you have my sympathy and forgive the laughter.

Oh the air works fine, it was just the annual look see to keep it that way. Cross your fingers, it's 11 years old and builder grade.

Some of the objection to Beck is his grand standing, but that is Beck he does nothing without it. Wonder how he felt when he found out there were complaints that his food wasn't hot enough. That should be plastered all over the place. Someone brings down chow and it isn't good enough!

Just read something from Rep. Broun (GA) about a grandmother who paid 28 GRAND to get into the country illegally and the kids where so scared they wanted to go back home. 28 GRAND, where in samhill did she get that kind of money???

Folks think Palestine is a country, plain and simple. The lack of support for Israel isn't anything new. Another hot spot for me, the lack of outrage from anyone either on the hill or the media over what is being done to Christians in Iraq.

And while no one was looking, white flags hung over the Geo Washington Bridge. Really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Prayers all around the world.

Wednesday – Well, Jason arrived safely in KY. His interview is later this morning, then hopefully I’ll know something. Have to get some walks in to relax.

Dad had good news too. Will try non-surgical approaches to relieve the hernia (Dr. said it’s not big). So that’s a relief!

HOT AND HUMID yesterday. The dew point was higher than in the tropical forest! YIKES. Today – honestly, it is perfect right now! IT is . . . drum roll . . . 57 degrees w/a light breeze. Sun out (spectacular sunrise). PERFECT! Only going to get up to 72. See, around here, if you don’t like the weather wait 5 minutes and it’ll change!

Thiry: Sending those good wishes and continuing with the protective and luck bubbles for both you and DH. Job searching . . . it is mind numbing sometimes!

And a healing bubble added for your BFF!

HUGS and prayers for our soldiers, our families, our country!

Thank you to all for the Protective and Luck bubbles they are very much needed at this point.
SUNNY – Yes I’ve been doing lots of interviews, just hoping that something comes from them. Got DH applying for custodian positions at all the Omaha area high school districts as he didn’t get the one that he interviewed for last week. Hope you enjoyed your weekend with your sister. Glad to hear that you are gaining energy and able to do some things around the house.
BARB – Hope things went well for your DS’s interview. I always wore a red polo to work at the office. Now that I am not working there I will have to see about getting me something red to be able to wear on Fridays as I don’t want to wear the polo with the company logo on it, especially with the way he treated me towards the end. Lots of prayers for Jason.
SHARON – So far no word on the maintenance position at the apartment complex. Sorry to hear that your car needed so much work. Hopefully it didn’t add up too high in cost. DIL’s post in cute. Kids can say the most interesting things. Glad you got some time to talk to and face time with your son. Oh my Sharon, I have never heard of a watermelon exploding while sitting out. I will have to make sure to watch that in the future. I just can’t imagine the work of cleaning up a mess like that.
KELLY – Thank you so much for your protective bubbles. I have seen many people around Norfolk with their kids on one of those harness things. I almost wish they had been out when my kids were little as it would have been a lot easier to keep track of them since the 3 middle kids were each 2 years apart and being a single parent. People can be so judgmental these days.

Well things have been busy since I got back to Omaha to help my BFF this week. Sunday evening and Monday were spent following her around work to know what to do while she is out with her surgery as well as helping her get her statements ready to be delivered and payroll for her now former employee done. The pay check wasn’t due until the 30th but she decided to get that situation taken care of and out of her thoughts. Well that didn’t happen as the gal decided to start texting after my BFF had her surgery to try to say we didn’t pay her properly. Sheila figured her hours (what she put on her time card) and then I took the time card and inserted the time into a spreadsheet I have set up for figuring hours worked. When I figured the hours we found that she was getting paid between 1-2.00 more than she should have been getting. This gal then says she didn’t get paid minimum wage of $7.50 and she was going to report the company to the BBB. I told her that since she got paid $10/hour she got more than minimum wage and go ahead and file the report and make herself look dumb (current minimum wage is $7.25/hour).

I’ve had good talks with my BFF’s son and daughter. They are both so appreciative that I am here to help her during this time. She thought she would be in the hospital overnight (wanted to go home the same day as the surgery) but with the trouble they are having controlling her pain I wouldn’t be surprised if she is in there several days. She is not the type of person that will take time to rest after she gets out of the hospital so the longer they keep her the better for her recovery. She is looking at picking up another building with about 6-7 more clients so has asked me to work for her and supervise the employees at the second complex as she won’t have time to do both buildings by herself. She is willing to pay me what I would start at with the law office that I interviewed at last week. I told her that would work but would need a couple weeks in Norfolk to get the house packed up and get moved to Omaha. The biggest problem with that is having the money to pay for the U-Haul to get our stuff down here and the money for rent and deposit. I’m sure we will figure something out.

I have plans to meet with my DS either Thursday or Friday to have supper and spend a little time together. Hopefully things will be all right with my BFF if she is out of the hospital when this happens.

Better get to bed as I have to be up, dressed, dog taken out, cats fed, litter boxes cleaned and to the complex by 7 am. Hope everyone has a good week. Take care
Thiry

Vinegar and baking soda but go easy on the soda as it can leave a film on the floor. Hope something eventually gets it up. Do you have a steam mop? That might help.

I have been working getting things ready for the BBQ. I will put the sides together in the morning but the deserts are finished. I did want a watermelon but decided against it for now. emoticon

Did any of you see all of the negative press with reference to Glenn Beck taking food & supplies to the kids on the border? Good grief, liberals, if you are not happy, send a liberal with 2 million dollars down there to help. Oh, I forgot, all of them are in the WH. It is a shame and definitely change from Obama but no Hope.

Can you tell I am very lack luster on our Prez and his staff right now. They need to go.

Barb, keeping Jason in thoughts and prayer. emoticon emoticon emoticon
Agree with you on Israel. Administration is not doing anything to support them. Wonder what they would do if Mexico started lobbing rockets over the border into our country in the same way? Oh wait - Texas would step up, beat them too it, and take care of that problem on their own YEEEHA! emoticon

Kelly first of all, no I did not add or spike that watermelon! Just your run of the mill seeded watermelon from the store. I did have plans to make it into Watermelon Daiquiris for starters! I hope your AC gets fixed and that you are nice and cool. I was telling Cory about these child harnesses, too. People nowadays think that's cruel, but I look at it the other way in that it keeps a baby safer. Why do some people keep some dogs on a leash - because if they don't they'll bolt and run off, and possibly get hit by a car. My granddogie is one of these for sure! She's even summoned up enough courage to break through the invisible fence if she wants out bad enough. She escaped three times when we were there in May. Case in point; I had the scare of my life one day while in a shopping mall with Cory when he was about 4. I was looking through a rack of clothes, and he was next to me. A minute later, turned to check on him again and he was gone. Frantically visually searched the store with him not in sight, ran out into the mall area and looked, no sight of him, ran back in the store again, and found him hiding under one of the nearby clothes racks. Thanked God not only for keeping him safe, but preventing me from having a heart attack as my heart was beating right out of my chest in fear. I hugged him, told him he scared the He double hockey sticks out of me, and then yelled at him. OMG, that is the worst memory of him growing up!

Sunny, hope your BBQ is fun tomorrow.

Kitchen floor still sticky after 4 sepatate moppings yesterday - water, Simple Green, Water, and finished with vinegar/water rinse. Still tacky, so I did another mopping today with vinegar and rinsed. Any suggestions on how to get the "stickiness" factor gone? I'm thinking of buying a steam mop now. Anyone have or used one of these? They get good reviews on Amazon. Hate to spend the money if I don't have to. . .

Getting warmer again today - extended forecast for next week is cooler back in low-mid 80s - Can't wait.

Prayers for Jason, our troops, and the people in the Middle East.

Tuesday – hot and humid yesterday, and will be that way till Wednesday. Ah well, July in the Midwest! Plenty of water to drink!

Jason leaves for Louisville, KY this morning. Everything that can possibly be crossed is crossed (never knew how many joints are double-jointed! LOL)

Hope y’all have a terrific Tuesday!

Sharon: FOR SURE unless you’ve lived through the experience, you are CLUELESS. Like childless couples giving a parent advice. DOESN’T go down too well! AT ALL!

OMG! An exploding watermelon!!!!!! NEVER heard of that before but now we all know!

Kelly: How is your little fur baby??? Your Grandpa reminds me of MY maternal Grandpa. You minded him. HE was strong as an ox (and he looked like a clone of Paul Newman!!!! SWOON SWOON!!)

Ok, in re: Israel . . . pardon the French, but WHO THE HELL is backing them!!!!! Lord love a duck, will people NEVER LISTEN, NEVER LEARN!

Jeez . . . had to use that on BOTH my DS and my DD. They were runners. DD walked when she was 7 mths. old . . . I mean full on walked!

Hope you’re a/c is fixed! It’s a steamer here and I would be one massive puddle without it. Trying not to run it during the day (using fans) but at night it is a necessity.

Good morning team. Hope today is a good day.

Kelly, seems to me like I always need the ac man on the hottest day of the summer.

Oh my, Sharon, I can not even imagine that mess. I remember Rich's Dad decided to make some home brew one time and one night he started hearing popping down in the basement. He was heading to get his gun when he realized it was the home brew popping their tops. It was also a pretty big mess. Our Son and DIL gave DH a home brew kit but I am leery about it for obvious reason. hehehe

I too am surprised how the main stream media is reporting the conflict in the middle east and pointing their fingers at Israel. Wonder if they will ever wake up.

We watched a report on the border yesterday and the one thing I can say is that I am thankful for the churches in the area that have rallied to help the kids. Seems like the WH is just ignoring the problem. Now, there are reports that the drug cartel is in on it and bringing these kids to the border to keep the the agents busy seeing after the kids so the cartel can do their business. Wonder why our southern border is not a priority?

Cleaning a little today and getting ready for our BBQ tomorrow. Looks like rain here.

Do have a good day and I will see you all tomorrow.

Okay Sharon, did you add a little sumpin' sumpin' to that watermelon? Hmmm didya? What an awful waste, but look at those cals burned. I'm sorry but can't help laugh. If it'll make you feel any better. When we lived in Saratoga we put some fresh apple cider in a huge jug in the garage to brew. Mind you it was winter, so thought it'd be okay. We came home to an exploded mess, so I share your frustration and thanks for the warning. Never heard of that!

I learned at a very young age, don't run from your Grandpa because you may have forgotten you didn't get a swat but he didn't and will get you unaware! At the reunion, we were all remembering his big booming voice, 10 gallon hat and pipe but what a gentle soul. AND not to tuck your butt!

We're into the 90's again with humidity and have gotten spoiled with the great temps so no one is happy.

Listening to a replay from yesterday. Prezbo actually said the word terrorist, but in the same sentence shakes his bony finger at Israel. Geez Laweez.

Oh believe me, they are sick of my RED, just hold on. That shirt will be like oilcloth by the time I'm done.

Thanks for the encouragement on Molly. She had an Iodine zap or whatever they call it, Graves was not mentioned in the lab results. I think if she weren't at risk for kidney and heart problems I wouldn't have it done; her numbers in May elevated more than .5 since December. besides she's not been herself. They will keep her for 2-4 days then have precautions at home for awhile.

On a positive note and thought I mentioned it before. At that rally, a Mom had her son on a harness and leash, he wanted to visit in every row. As they headed toward me I couldn't help but smile and the Mom said she's getting mixed reactions. I told her I had to do the same thing with our son and he grew up to be Special Ops. She gave me a high five and off he ran to make new friends. So there is hope amongst our young folks.

Barb and Thiry, hope you all get some great news and soon. I think of you often.

Well the a/c tech is here will come by later! Hugs and more Prayers...

Kelly your stories about your son made me laugh! I remember I decided one day to "tuck my butt in" when my mom was spanking me. Not a good idea - I just got it twice as bad. . .

I'm tired of everyone telling us what we should do. Like they EVEN have a clue! If it were me, I'd become even more determined! We need to make them understand that we and our families are not "warmongers". No one likes war, and those of us who willingly let our loved ones venture out into "the thick of it" wish it would end even more. . . Trouble is the media is no longer objective and doing their jobs. I think your idea about getting more of your other military moms together is a good one.I also wholeheartedly agree with Barb's statement, "I do not think those people would have the courage or strength to go through even a TINY FRACTION of what military families go through. "Not even a smidgen" . emoticon (Good One Barb!) It must be nice to pretend there is no price to pay for the freedoms we have." - until it affects them personally in some adverse way. They'll be the very first and loudest one squealing. People have forgotten the horror of 911, and live in their own little idealistic bubbles.

Wishing your Kitty luck with the surgery, and hope it helps him . . .

Well, went out to run errands and came home a few hours later to an explode watermelon all over my kitchen! Took me 3 hours to clean it all up. Mopped the floor 3 times, and it is still sticky. Had to clean off counter, tables, chairs, chair pads in wash . . . what a mess!!!! I had left it on the counter to ripen for a few days. Word of caution - eat your watermelon as soon as you can! Who knew????

Heading off to bed here shortly. Am so sore and tired . . . Sweet dreams ladies!

Hope you all have a good Monday.

Kelly: Wow! Your son was wise, wasn’t he! “Here . . . use this one.” “You broke my butt.” Sorry . . . made me LOL! How can you stay made @ them when they say stuff like that. I think that’s what they’re counting on!

I think it would be a great idea to just let the military families in your area know how we feel. I think they need to know how much they’re loved and supported!!!!!!!!! And APPRECIATED!

Seriously? Tone down the red shirt???? Tone down the RED posts? Ummm . . . NOPE, don’t think so. Not gonna happen. I do not think people like that would have the courage and strength to go through all that military families go through. Not even a smidge. It must be nice to pretend there is no price to pay for the freedoms we have. **SIGH** and GRRRRRrrrrRRRRrrrr!
