Quick drive by before bed. Busy but great day today. Delivered the calendars and Leah just loved it! She helped me put up all 48 stockings, and was so excited to get to see what was in the first 3. She loved the ornaments. Kellan wanted to keep taking his off the tree.

Barb, I am soooo glad that your dad finally found his wallet!!!!! Thanks to you and Kelly for your kind words about my blogs. Just finished tomorrow's and heading off to bed. Wanted to say Hi before I did.

Kelly, try 7 Deadly Zins. I think you'll like it! Apothic Dark is also velvety smooth and good.

Hugs and sweet dreams!

Kelly: Have to agree on the blown away w/Sharon's 2 blogs! Definitely.

Brats and sauerkraut. Sounds like you're living here in WI! LOL

Sharon: LOVED your blog today, but want to 2nd Kelly and say . . . if it's too taxing (and it would be for me for sure) don't feel bad to scale back. LOVE 'em, but LOVE YOU MORE! Just saying.

Quick drive by to offer permission to Sharon to scale back on how wonderfully precise your challenges are - mind you I'm selfish enough to want them daily -

I was blown away yesterday to see that you did the Lunacy thing ALONG with your challenge. Gurl, you are quite the wordsmith and just amaze me!

Got side tracked watching hockey, had my cocoa klatch a bit late. Picked up the Barefoot winter special blend for it, nice. Still like merlot better...one of these bottles will be a Cab though. Or maybe whatever the special harvest of Bordeaux is for this season. Don't see that promoted like before. Brats and sauerkraut cooking.

Thiry: Oh no on the alarmed car being back. UGH.

Glad that you got your walk in. Were supposed to get snow here too overnight and into tomorrow, then next Saturday.

BARB I am sorry you had such a terrible day but glad that your dad finally found his wallet. Good to hear that Jason made it home safely. Thank you, I think they look good together also. I am glad to hear that others are noticing my weight loss also and finally noticing it not only with the way my clothes fit but when I look in the mirror. I am hoping that DS will send me some pictures so I can see how the dress fit after grandma got done with it.

KELLY I hope you are having a good day.

SHARON Thank you.

SUNNY I hope you are doing well.

I got my walk in this morning which was a good thing. I left about 9:15 this morning after telling DH that I was going to get my walk in this morning as the weather forecast was for rain and/or snow starting between noon and 4 pm. I wanted to get home before the precipitation began but I didnt quite make it. I was less than a mile from getting back home (I walked the same path I did on Thanksgiving) when I was a few flurries in the air. By the time I got to the road to cross and walk across the parking lot the flurries were getting heavier and even falling on my face and eyelids as I walked. About an hour and a half later when I left to run some errands there was a light layer of snow on the ground. It is a really heavy wet snow but not sticking on the roads at this time.

Im not sure but I think the car that had the alarm going off all last weekend is back in the parking lot this weekend but it now has plates on it. So far I havent heard any alarms, which is a good thing. Well I guess I should get busy to see what I can accomplish the rest of the afternoon.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Thiry

Saturday - Oh my gosh. Catastrophe mode. Dad lost his wallet. Got all the cards cancelled but worried about the drivers license and Medicare card. Had searched his car, his clothes, the closet, all drawers, just anywhere that it could have fallen. Nada. The about 9 pm Dad comes out and says he found it. Oh lord, thank you! What a relief.

Jas had a good day @ home yesterday. PHEW needed a little rest.

Heres to a good Saturday.

Sharon: Oh well you know some days are just BUSY!! Theyll love the calendars, Im sure!

BARB Good to hear that Jason is home safe. I hope that things go well for mom and the substitute carrer.

KELLY I found out that she didnt pick up the dress as she was at work so my DS picked it up for her. Im guessing she tried it on as soon as she got home from work and that is when they found out that it was a mess. I dont know about the remote but my DOR at work said that he had a car once that would do that and he ended up disconnecting the alarm so it wouldnt go off intermittently like that. Thank you for your comments on my weight loss. For quite a while I didnt feel like I was accomplishing anything but now I am noticing and so are others. Today at work one of the ladies that is doing the payroll files audit asked if I was losing weight and I said yes and told her how much since February. She said she can tell just in the time she has been there. I told her I thought I had lost about 8 pounds since the first of November. She said she could tell. It made me feel so good. I always like it when I get to a place ahead of the crowd. It looks to me like one side was altered but the other side wasnt touched. I dont know for sure but that is my guess. She has no business trying to alter any dresses. I feel for the people and brides that may have had dresses in their weddings that this lady altered.

SHARON Yes I agree that both the kids need to learn to stand up for themselves. They were both so upset with the whole situation and I dont think either was thinking straight at the time. I also agree that the person who did (or should I say didnt do the alterations) also needs to stand up and take responsibility. I thinks the money she got for the alterations should be refunded to the kids and would tell her that if I had the number to call her and talk to her. Your advent calendars sound really neat. You know I thought the same thing about Bill when I saw the picture but thought it was just me. I wonder if maybe the jumpsuit makes the difference as Wednesday he didnt wear his usual jumpsuit for his Elvis tribute.

SUNNY I hope you are doing well.

I sent a text to my son last night asking if grandma was able to fix the dress. He wrote back saying it looks a hundred times better, its not perfect but itll do for now. I told him Im glad as I was so upset about the dress and being so far away and not able to help fix it. He said that if we could have found a ticket for $59.00 (Southwest has these from time to time) they would have paid for me to fly down to work on the dress. I told him that I had checked on tickets and the cheapest I found was $320 and I would have been in Georgia for the weekend, flying home on Monday as if I flew home before that it would have cost a lot more (over $700.00).

What a day. I dont know what happened but I didnt wake up until 6:57this morning. I start work at 7 so raced through the house getting dressed and out the door. I was about a half hour late for work due to waking up so late. I had a busy day at work making sure that the November attendance calendars are complete. I got 2 sited complete, claims submitted and the information entered into the programs. The other 3 sites arent complete as some of the childrens attendance isnt complete so as soon as the attendance is complete I can finish the calendars and get the claims completed. When I got off work I went to the gym for my workout. When I completed that I stopped by the apartment to get the 15% off coupon and headed to the store. DH and I purchased what we needed and headed home. After getting home and both of us carrying some of the groceries up to the apartment I told DH to start fixing supper and I would bring up the rest of the groceries. When I stopped by the apartment to get the discount coupon I weighed myself after the workout then decided after numerous trips up and down the steps bringing in the groceries to weight myself again and found that my weight had gone down a full pound between weigh ins.

DH has to work tomorrow so I think I will walk around the lake again. I will have to make sure that I get going in the morning as it is supposed to rain in the afternoon and possibly change to snow in the evening.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Thiry

Youse guys are too much with the candy canes and the spare change. . .

Hope you all had a good day. Mine was busy. Didn't get over to deliver the calendars today. Doing it tomorrow morning. We had so much fun doing them, and they turned out cute. I did miscount my ornaments so had to run out today to find 10 more. Don't know where my head was!

Glad to hear a familiar carer is coming next week Barb. Hope Jason enjoyed the tele-commute today. Must be nice. . . DH can't do that at all.

Glad you enjoyed your mani yesterday. You should have taken some pictures with your phone and posted them here.

Heading off to bed - really tired. This daily blogging on top of everything else is tiring especially since I now need to post them shortly after I get up so you guys have the day to do them. Just finished tomorrows blog. Had to do Late Happy Hour one before that! emoticon

Nite all!

Yup Thiry, youse is looking good!!! Changes since I saw you. You will be rawkin' that wedding for sure. And I sure hope your future daughter got that hot mess of a dress fixed. She sure is cute from the side and back, can't wait to see the rest of her!

Barb, I'm hoping the sub carer looks through Mom's chart or asks how she handles situations, may be a different face but a familiar routine might help? I can only hope and wish for her. Long day for sure for Jas, hopefully he gets to work from home today.

I would not have a clue as to how to even start to get a blog fixed, I appreciate your determination and already bought my candy canes the other day because they jumped in my cart without me realizing it, shhhhhh though!

I had my mani yesterday, oh wow the way Rita has her salon decorated just made my heart melt (some with envy, she is so creative). Everywhere I looked again I saw something I missed when I looked before. She does everything herself, nothing premade. When I first went to her in January, she hadn't dismantled everything I thought it was wonderful and was almost to late to see it. Funny, she remembered that i said something like I'm glad to see someone else with stuff up at Jan 6 - which is what I do since I don't start at or before Thanksgiving. Never have. She remembered because she said she was so afraid of hurting my newly pinned, swollen and casted hand. Anyway, I started hauling stuff in last night.

Hugs and Prayers all around.

Kelly

Friday Well, Moms main carer comes this morning, and then shes off for 2 weeks. Had to finally call the agency to see who was coming during that time. GRRrrrr. But a familiar carer is coming. So, that will be good. Dont know how Mom will react, but nothing to do about it.

Jason got home after midnight. Tired day!!!

TGIF

Thiry: LOVE the pictures!

Sharon: OOPS! Eager beavers here. Lips are sealed!

OMG . . . . sometimes all it takes is a misplaced punctuation mark and POOF . . . censored. GRRRrrr.

Heading over to LJCANNONs page. Thanks for the heads up. Missed that on your comments!

Yes, Jason got home around midnight. TIRED, but glad. Yes, prayers for next week welcome.

Hey you guys, you're getting ahead of me!!! Don't give out some of my secrets! Good idea for your charity, Kelly.

Go to my blog and read LJCANNON's comment. She could really use a little love and some uplifting words right now. I just sent her a long note when I read the comments.

Talk about frustrating trying to post that blog today! I don't know what happened. I went through word by word, and special characters, and spaces, etc. Took 10 tries, and finally doing it paragraph by paragraph, and posting immediately after each addition to find it! 10 tries - 2 hours - burnt dinner - Geez!

Glad Jason will be home soon, Barb. Will pray for you for next week starting now.

Taking the advent calendars over to DS tomorrow. I'm excited!!! Our son loved his little tree, and he only got one ornament a year. it was pretty bare there for awhile! emoticon

Thiry, nice picture, and I can see a difference! He looks heavier (but don't tell him i said that!).

Am going to work on tomorrow's blog. I need to post them in the mornings so you guys can have the day to do them.

Love ya!

Kelly: Oh, I remember the change challenge, too. Good idea. I do have a change jar in my room. NOW youve got me thinking what to do.

Yes, Jas has been working his butt off lately. And yes, sort of the end of the year rush. Lots of legislation to review, etc.

I was just thinking as I threw the change from today in the laundry jar (that's where it is) what Sharon started a couple of years or so ago about saving change that I was going to propose that to one of the groups that kind of support our furlegger efforts. I went to the post office and what to my surprise, I was all alone. Brought in a bunch of business behind me, how was that for timing?

My sister in law flew into NYC (actually White Plains) just ahead of the rains. Miami? Busy guy lately, is it because it's the end of the year rush?

Oh my Sharon that is so sad...guess at least Christmas is not completely off the table. My neighbor's daughter married a Spaniard and they live over there 9 months of the year. Where he is from Christmas is not celebrated in a modern way, more like centuries ago. Barely a blip. So, they will be here for Christmas for the first time with their little girl, daughter asked they tone it down so the kid doesn't get confused, mostly with the gifts. That I could handle but gee I know John would have never stood for it.

I know, that dress looks like one side is the right size and what in the H did she do to the other side Perfect...NOT!!!

We've been without phone or cable for hours and have calls I have got to get in before I forget about it so CUL8R.

Thursday Jasons flight was delayed 1 hr. due to heavy rain in NY. BUT he arrived safe-and-sound. Now today is meetings then hell be home tonight. PHEW. Sooooooo glad its a short trip. Next week he goes to Miami 4 days, 3 nights). THAT will be a more difficult absence.

Cold and dreary yesterday. But fortunately no rain or snow. I can tolerate that.

Otherwise, Moms main carer is going to be on vacation next week and havent heard who will be coming in her place. ARGH!!

Sharon: Stubborn is so deeply embedded in both my parents DNA it will take MANY generations to undo!

Have to tell you, really loved your gratitude series! Awesome. Looking forward to December to remember.

Sorry to hear of the religious thing. HMmmm . . . would make me a little upset, too. But what can you do

Mr. Spot is doing a good job. . . all for banana treats. Good deal! LOL

Thiry: Hurray for 2 nights w/o the alarm.

OMG on the dress. That happened to me, too, when I was the Matron of Honor in a wedding. Lord.

Kelly: Yes, thank God for the neighbors!

Oh boy, that is so wonderful of Dolly

Sorry to hear what happened @ Costco! Yikes.

Good Morning!

Glad things worked out for you, Thiry. Your son's fianc needs to stand up for herself - personal responsibility - not be "rescued" by someone else. Whoever did that dress needs to trace up to their responsibility as well. Word of mouth travels fast. Her "friend" should be mortified by the shoddy work her mom did for a friend!

Barb, hope the day started out good for you. Has Mr. Spot raided the cookie jar yet?!

Kelly, I got a Citi Visa card back in June to replace my Costco Amex card. I can't believe they weren't willing to help you out this one time given the situation! That's one reason I rarely shop there anymore.

Yes, I am making "advent calendars", but since DIL doesn't want any introduction or association of religion for her children's upbringing, (no stars, no angels, no mention of God) you get the picture. . . This goes against our family values, and our son seems to have abdicated any say in the matter. GRR! He was raised in a Christian household. So we are calling It a Coundown to Christmas. I'll post a picture later.

Excited about " the second annual "December to Remember" Challenge! Spread the word. Tell all your friends. I hope many take part. It seems like such a logical, and fun, progression of the 30 Days of Gratitude.

Well gotta run! Catch ya later!

December, already???

Barb, I understand stubborn. I tell my mother in law that she gets her stubborness from her sons. She finally uses her walker most times for that very reason. Her bedroom is so crowded but won't let us put up shelves to give her more room to safely walk around the bed. We have neighbors like that too, thank the Lord.

Safe travels for Jason. Oh my, Mr. Spot in charge, let the mischief begin.

Got rain yesterday but not a whole lot here. The 70 degree day two days ago has turned to 30 overnight but the sun is out so it'll warm up quite a bit.

Dolly is opening her wallet big time for the next 6 months, if not longer. It sounds like it is not just for her employees. What a great way to repay those who have spent money with her. They just said that So. Michigan is getting smoke from the Smokies wildfires...600 miles away!

Sharon you are giving us Nana's a bad name with all the clever stuff you do, just kidding! You are so much like our son's mother in law, creative to the hilt and she has so many grands and great grands I have no clue how she does it. It took awhile for my two grands to realize that clever will happen but not always...I proudly leave that to her. What are you doing, something like an advent calendar?

Wow, you are going to treat us to more reading and insight! I enjoyed your Gratitude series so much. Thank You

Oh my! I hope her dress is fixed...that is always everyone's nightmare because it is next to impossible find someone at the last minute. Fingers crossed Grandma can do some magic. That is no way to make sure the bride shines brighter than anyone else. Okay I'm sure that isn't why it happened but really. Lesson learned, always try the garment on before leaving or worse, paying for it.

I'm thinking Thiry someone (a toddler who doesn't sleep) was playing with the car remote.

There was a difference even when I saw you in Nashville so I can't wait to see how the rest of the story is going. Good that you shared a table and got to know her better, always makes for an enjoyable evening.

Well, my plans of sending the fire crew off with basic snax, water etc fell by the wayside. Got to Costco knowing that my membership expired a couple of months ago. Went to pay for my buggy full of essentials only to be told, we don't take AmEx since June. So I hand my mastercard, we don't take that either. Only cash and visa. Really? So, I'm not about to carry large sums of $ on me or get a visa, they wouldn't let me get cash at their atm, pay for it without renewing I had to leave the stuff there. I don't shop there that often (it's 50-60 miles roundtrip) so I know they won't miss my business. I am amazed that place was packed at 1pm, stood in line for awhile. Anyway, ended up at Target the closest store that I could pick up some basics but feel bad that I couldn't deliver what I committed to. The kid was meeting me shortly to pick it up. Offered him what cash I had so they could do another run before deploying this morning but he refused.

Getting a mani at 3 so will be thinking of you all, meanwhile lots of hugs and prayers.

Kelly

BARB Sorry to hear about your dad falling. Glad that it was just a scrape on his arm and thank goodness for your neighbor. Safe travels for Jason. 2 nights now without the car alarm so that is a good thing.

KELLY Glad to hear that the storms are helping with the fires. I saw an article somewhere that Dolly Parton is concerned about the fires being close to Dollywood. Nice that your group is preparing goodies for the firemen that are heading out to help with the fires.

SHARON Sounds like you have been busy with your different activities and projects. Well it was the latter as she didnt show up at the Ozone tonight for Bills show as I figured would be the case.

SUNNY I hope you are doing well.

Another great show by Bill tonight. Needless to say I would have won the bet if DH and I had bet on whether my ex-friend would show tonight as she didnt. I was alone and another lady that I have been talking to the last few times we have been to one of Bills shows was alone also as her friends ended up not coming tonight so we shared a table instead of each of us having a table to ourselves. We talked a lot and got to know each other better. After the show she took a picture of Bill and me similar to the one taken in May. She is going to post it on Facebook so I can save it and compare it to the one taken in May to see the difference since I have lost weight since that picture. Towards the end of the evening I received a text from DS in Georgia saying that really could use my help the next couple days as his fianc is having a dress emergency. I asked what was going on only to find out that she is a bridesmaid in a wedding Saturday and when she tried on the dress tonight after he picked it up for her she found that it wasnt right. I asked him to send me pictures so I could see what was going on and I just about died when I saw the dress. I think a 2 year old could have done a better job on this dress that the lady that did the alterations. I asked for the number of the place that did the work but he wont give it to me as he said it was the mom of a friend. If I could talk to this person I would be telling her that she needs to refund the money paid for the alterations and she needs to fix the dress right even if she has to stay up all night to get it done. If I had the money I would be flying to Georgia in the morning to fix the dress for her but I cant afford that. I guess her grandma is going to see what she can do to make the dress presentable for the wedding.

Well I have a cat that thinks he needs my attention and is practically climbing on my computer so I guess I had better finish up and play with him for a little while. Good night.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Hey All! Late check-in today. Busy wrapping up 30 Days of Gratitude Blog series, and ready to start the new Unwrapping Christmas December to Remember Challenge. Also been working on "Countdown to Christmas Calendar" for our little munchkins, and got about two-thirds done. Making two takes double the time! Just been too busy this last week. Still researching health insurance, vision, and dental insurances. Anyone come upon anything noteworthy? I'm all ears.

Barb, safe travels for Jason to NYC. Hope things go smoothly while he's gone. So very sorry to read about your dad! Sounds a lot like mine - can you say "stubborn"? I'm glad he's okay and didn't do any serious damage. Hopefully this will be another "late in life learning" lesson" like the accident. How in the heck are you keeping your sanity?

Dreary and rainy here the past two days and real foggy like my banner on my page. We need the moisture, though. High of 70 today! Didn't like it!

Thiry, I hope for sure too that the car alarm is gone for good! I hope tomorrow night turns out how you want it to - either she comes or she doesn't. . . I'd probably wish for the later because that's just going to make things fresh in reality for everyone concerned again.

Kelly, hope you are doing OK with all that is going on around you.

Heading to bed - catch ya tomorrow - probably late again!

Wednesday Jason leaves for NYC in a couple hrs. Thankfully hell be back late tomorrow night.

Not a good day yesterday. Dad was trying to help haul in groceries (I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE NOT DO THAT, but he didn't listen. He fell.) **SIGH** Just a scrape on his arm, but scared the heck out of me.

Thank heavens there was a neighbor out who saw the whole thing and came over to help get him up. I knew I could do it myself, but Dad was more comfortable having two of us help him. I am forever grateful for the kindness of that neighbor. Her help was indeed a gift far more precious than she probably realized.

Nice day yesterday. Sunny, got up to 56. Ill take it! Today not so much. Rainy and ugly. Oh well.

Did get to the post office and UPS to mail off packages. Now well see if they arrive in time for the holiday!

Jason leaves for NYC today so itll be Mr. Spot and I in charge. Scary!

Thiry: Hope for sure that the car alarm is gone for good!

Glad you feel better today.

Kelly: Was 56 yesterday . . . not so much today . .. . 37!

Oh boy, my prayers for those fire fighters battling the wild fires.

Sunny, Sharon: Chat later!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See yall @ 3!

Very warm yesterday, storms to the south of us and looks like rain is helping with the fires in East TN. Chilly and drizzly today.

Getting ready to make a run for supplies to send with a group of volunteer firefighters heading out tomorrow. Geez, those guys just barely got back from Chattanooga. There is a picture of a few firemen laying on a whatever it is, sound asleep...in pretty much full gear and using and it is so much like what we see from our soldiers.

Will check in later, hugs and prayers.

BARB Im glad your parents made it to their appointment. Yes a very sad situation at Ohio State. Yes we are paring down on expenses also after splurging last year since we had the extra money from the sale of the property. Hopefully the car alarm is gone for good. The chiropractor did help, thanks you. Good to hear that your mom is settling in after the time change.

KELLY Thank you I am so glad that it is gone also. So far each day I have figured out something new about the new car. I know that will come to an end but it is fun investigating and finding out these new items. We had rain all day Sunday but it wasnt a heavy rain though. Sorry it didnt last long enough to help with the wildfires.

SHARON Yes, I totally agree. It needed to be gone a lot sooner. I also hope that it is a permanent thing being gone.

SUNNY I hope you are doing well.

Well after the headache, chiropractor and nap yesterday I felt really refreshed today. I fell asleep between 11 & 12 last night which is really early for me and especially after a 3 hour nap. I did wake up at 5 am this morning, before my alarm, and didnt get back to sleep. I left the apartment early thinking I would need time to let the windows defrost but the front window was perfectly clear. I left the parking lot to head to work and the traffic was really light compared to other mornings. I pulled into the parking lot at work at 6:36 am, almost 30 minutes before I needed to be there. I had a massage today after work so between the chiropractor yesterday and the massage today I am feeling quite relaxed. Tomorrow is the big day. If my ex friend actually shows up for Bills show and my getting to strut my stuff in front of her. I need to figure out what I am going to wear that will show off the weight loss for her.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Hey All! Quick drive by before I go and do my blog for today. Glad to read that the alarmed car has left the lot Thiry! 'Bout danged time! Hope it's permanent.

Hugs Barb, glad that Mom is settling in, and hope you get a respite for a while. How are you feeling? Is your cold gone?

Sunny what have been up to lately? I agree with Kelly. have you come down from your Anniversary Celebration? Sure looked like a good one. Was this the one at the hotel?

Can't believe the Ohio State incident. Enough of this administration's whitewashing everything! Time for some real change! No way it's racism - he was self- radicalized! And speaking of that, no guns - so stricter gun control would not have helped! So much for the Dems tag line!

I'm hoping Pelosi gets the rug pulled out from under her, too!

Hope y'all had a good day! emoticon

Tuesday well, yesterday was interesting. Rained, rained, rained. Mom and Dad had a podiatrist appointment. OMG it was just pouring buckets. But we made it. THEN it took 10 minutes to convince Mom to get out of the car. GRRrrr. At leat she did and at least they were on time for their appointment. PHEW.

Well, have to get to the post office and Fed Ex today. Expect long lines, but Im ready.

OMG, I am just in shock about the attack @ Ohio State. Thats my DHs alma mater. Has family still in Ohio. This is just an insane world we live in. Many prayers for all those affected. So sad.

OMG, again, how in the world can it be racism? The known criminal had a gun, and many previous convictions, and the officer was @ risk. Jeez.

Again OMG about the CA Mom who was kidnapped . . . the husband indicated that she had many facial bruises from beatings, her hair was chopped, she was chained and had a cover over her head. And she was dumped from a moving vehicle. Oh my lord. What in the world is wrong with people!

Thiry: Yes, I have pared my gift-giving way down and simplified. Needed to be done!

Glad the alarm was silent last night!

Well, glad you got to the chiropractor. Hope the adjustment helped.

Kelly: Mom was settled in a bit more with the time change. I think between the full moon before and the time change it just was a double whammy.

Sharon, and Sunny: check in with youse later!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families, and our country. See yall @ 3 pm.

Good to hear the alarmed car has left the lot Thiry. Odd. They are putting too many bells and whistles on cars nowadays for sure, enjoy it.

Hugs Barb, hope Mom is settling in with the time change finally.

Sunny have you come down from your Anniversary Celebration? I seem to remember you two have more celebrating to do out of town.

Sharon, have you recovered yet?

We finally got a gully washer last night, but it was short lived and by the time it got past Knoxville it was no where near strong enough to help quell the massive wildfires. More storms tonight, and it will be unseasonably warm today. Making for a rough ride.

Hugs and Prayers all around, will see you for an Arni or somthing this afternoon. I think with all the wine I've had the past couple of weeks I think I'll stick to sane for awhile.

BARB Good for you on getting your Christmas shopping almost completed. DH and I will do most of our shopping on one of the 2 days he has to use the additional 15% off at work.

KELLY I dont know about the laws on towing it either. When the alarm was going off both nights I would watch out my sliding glass door but wouldnt see anyone in the parking lot let alone near the car so dont think it was anyone trying to break into the car.

SHARON Luckily no alarms last night and havent seen the car in the parking lot since late yesterday afternoon.

SUNNY Nice picture. You both look really good. Thank you as I drive it and work with the it I am finding that there are more and more things that I didnt know we had like heated side mirrors that come on when the rear defrost is turned on,

Well no car alarms last night so that was good and havent seen the car in the lot today at all. I was so tired from not getting enough sleep the previous 2 nights that I slept through my alarm this morning. I did wake when the alarm for getting my butt out the door went off. I felt like calling in and staying home to sleep but if I would have done that I wouldnt have gotten paid for Thursday and Friday so jumped up and into my clothes and out the door to work. I actually did well time wise as I was only 7 minutes late for work. As I was coming back into the office area from calling to get my transcript I stopped and talked with my CFO. I asked about his Thanksgiving as he had told me he wasnt looking forward to going to his siblings in Kansas for the holiday. I told him about the car and that I had wanted to stay home and sleep. He told me I should have and I said that if I had I wouldnt have gotten paid for Thanksgiving. He said we could have worked something out. Later my DOF told me that we were to start clocking in today (we havent been clocking in/out since the company was formed). I went into my account and found that I could only clock in as of the time it was and told him I did but put a note in the system that I had arrived at 7:07. We then talked a little and I told him about the weekend and that I was getting a headache. He said that maybe I should go home and try to get some sleep. I told him I had just taken some Ibuprofen so would try to work for a while to see if it would kick in and help. A half hour later after I had finished what I was working on I went to him and said I was going to take him up on the offer to leave and had him sign my time off request then I left. I drove straight to the chiropractor and got an adjustment to help with the headache. While I was waiting to be seen DH called and said that he had locked him keys in his car. I told him that I would stop by after getting through with the chiropractor. Before going to get DHs keys out of his car I stopped by the insurance office to put in a change of address to the new PO Box and get a temporary insurance card for the new car. When I got home I was wide awake so sat and watched TV for a little while before falling asleep. I slept for almost 3 hours even though I had set an alarm for a couple hours later as I didnt want to sleep too much and not be able to sleep tonight. After I woke I felt a lot better and got ready to go for a walk. I walked for about an hour before returning home and eating supper.

Well Im getting tired so I better get off the computer and get to sleep.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Heres to a good Monday. The carer will be here, so thatll be the litmus test.

HUGS

Sharon: Hope you get a chance to breathe!

Kelly: Glad you found enough mischief to create to keep yourself occupied! No bail $$ required I hope! LOL

Ah yes, there are many times Ive locked myself in the bathroom for a good cry and wish that wishing for Mom to be like she was would work. **SIGH** Just have to pray and do the best that can be on a daily basis.

Don't be sad because I was home alone, it was my choice and I found enough mischief to create. I pretty much decided not to drive to FL with the pup wasn't sure how she'd handle being around 6 other rambunctious fourleggers (and the other way around) before she quickly hit that wall. I still could have gotten in the car and gone somewhere, just didn't feel like fighting the traffic and sure as heck did not want to give the airplane more money for a last minute tix.
Sure i missed some fun, we all do but there will be other times.

Years ago we decided to cut wayyyyy back and the kids and grands still spoke to us. Funny story, when our son was on his first deployment John was always buying stuff to send to him and literally weekly he'd grab the grands and take them shopping to pick out something to send to Daddy. Kyle asked if there'd be anything left to send him (and his unit) at Christmas? I think he was getting overwhelmed, finally got Daddy to knock it back a notch.

I'm thinking firball in a box maybe is an item available for bars since she prepaid for several rounds of that and margaritas. Literally an open bar for those two items. Yes, it was that big of a welcome home party! In thinking about it, should have taken my little tupper thing and brought home a shot to warm my bones.

I'm thinking that the police already have that vehicle on their radar since they did come out. If laws are like they are here, unless it is blocking your path they can't tow it. More concerned that someone is trying to break into it if the alarm is going off. Who's next? You can request extra patrols.

For sure Mom is luckily and gratefully going full force except for her knees and eyes. It makes it hard to know that others have not been so lucky, Barb I wish you had your Mom back same goes for your friends Mom Sharon. I have always teased her that having a child at close to 40 would keep her young. I can only hope that I have been most of the time a good mother in law myself.

Should get a move on, see you all at 3! Hugs and Prayers.

Well, quick drive-by and just getting in under the wire tonight!

Barb, glad things went fairly well over the weekend, and you got a little R & R yourself. Love the Christmas movies, and Christmas with the Kranks is a good classic. I love the Santa Clause trilogy.

Kelly, I'm sorry too that you have missed the fun and are home alone this weekend. Haven't done any shopping as yet, and it will be less than in previous years.

Your mother in law sounds like a real pistol at 97, wow! I certainly hope I am like that at 97! Heck, I hope I live to be 97! Glad you had a good Sunday, though. Box Fireball, eh? Might have to see if I can find that locally.

Thiry, sorry you are still having problems with that car alarm. If it were me, I'd go th the police dept in person and see what your rights as a citizen are. Can you file something to get that car towed away or to get them to impound it? No plates, etc?

SUNNY Beautiful picture! Hope you had a wonderful celebration!

Well, signing off and heading to bed! Catch y'all tomorrow!

BARB Thank you we are really going to enjoy it thats for sure. We joked with the staff at the dealership about not having a target on the back of this one. The one gal said that according to their hidden camera by the door there wasnt a target on this car. LOL I dont think Ive ever seen that movie.

KELLY Sorry that you have missed the fun and are home alone this weekend. I dont do much on line shopping either. I like to actually see what I am purchasing so havent gotten into the online stuff. Your mother in law sounds like quite the lady and a spunk at 97, wow. I certainly hope I am like that at 97. Its sad that she feels like she is taking up someone elses time as Im sure that she would be quite the lady to go shopping with. Glad you had a good Sunday.

SHARON Thank you, we like the new car. We actually had decided that we wanted the same color as what we had but after looking at this one we ended up going with it even though it was a different shade of blue. The only one they had in the same color felt like we would be downgrading if we got it so that left the one we got or a Chrysler 200 in a slate gray that neither of us liked at all. Hope all has gone well babysitting today.

SUNNY I hope everything is going well for you.

Another frustrating night here. I fell asleep on the couch watching a Christmas movie but got woke up at 3 am to a car alarm going off again. I went to the bathroom and DH told me the alarm had been going off intermittently since about 12:30. I called the County Sheriffs office again and this time they actually came out within a few minutes of my call. I told them the car was a navy blue Saturn with no plates or intransits. When the Sheriff got here she drove past that car and stopped getting out and going to a white Chevy (the back door was open so she checked the car and closed the door) then she walked a couple cars down to my Pearl Blue Dodge Dart. I thought about stepping out on the balcony and hollering to her and point to the car. She then got into her vehicle and drove further into the complex then coming back up the other side of the lot. She then met another Sheriffs vehicle and they talked for a little bit. Then they both drove back over to the area where she had been before. Before either of them could do much the alarm started going off on the car so they got out, looked around the car for a little bit then got in their vehicles and drove off. The alarm went off intermittently for the next hour. DH was so tired from not getting any sleep that he didnt go to church with me. I went but really struggled to stay awake. As I was getting out of my car to come into the apartment my downstairs neighbor was outside so we talked for a little while. He said he was really frustrated with the alarm going off on that car also.

I had planned on walking at the lake today but by the time I got my turkey tetrazzini in the oven and planned to change I realized that it was raining. It has rained all afternoon so no walk today. Since I couldnt walk I worked on completing the organization of my new jewelry box. Now I just need to get my dresser cleaned off and get it put where I want it. Well off to see what I can accomplish yet tonight

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Thanks, I thought I shared the one where they were all smiling ...instead of concentrating on whatever stunt they were doing. Anyway it was for sure an experience of a lifetime. I've missed out on all the fun everywhere, I am home alone this weekend, alone in the house, Grandson heads back to SanDog from Boston today but will be here in TN for a longer Christmas leave.

Did some local shopping, very early yesterday. Don't do much online, I'll do it to send elsewhere and their shipping is reasonable or bonus - free. Most of the family still wants cash and cards, and it's convenient but no fun without adding something. My mother in law is so funny, she is way to generous with money (it's hard for her to go shop and feels she is taking up someone else's time when she goes with them, which isn't true but...), she said the other day might as well spend it now, can't take it with me and I want to enjoy what you all are doing with it. Spunk at 97!

Went a welcome home party for the two locals. The Mexican place that is the weekly landing zone for the past few years are the best hosts, they treat us like family and viceversa. We took over their patio (in 38 degree weather). Saw something new. Wine in a box has been popular for years (especially here with so many boaters), surprised to see that they now have Fireball in a box! I'm not a fireball drinker, maybe on a special occasion and I'm near home. Tell you my cold bod might have appreciated a shot last night. Got home and made a merlot hot cocoa.

Have a beautiful Sunday everyone. Hugs and Prayers for our brave warriors and their families and our first responders. See ya at Three!

Kelly

Woo-hoo, sitting here waiting for the sales person to get back from putting gas in the car and having it detailed. Also waiting to sign paperwork and talk to aftermarket to arrange to get remote start and the protection plan additions scheduled. We just about walked away but they threw in a couple things for the same price we had discussed and we're ready walk away from. So no car payment in December and don't have to pay for Siri's radio the we decided to keep for the trip this summer as the new car has it included for a year.

So excited even though I would have been all right with walking away with our car and not trading for the new one.

Thank you. That same car alarm started going off again this morning while DH and I were finishing cleaning and organizing the car. A few things that I am leaving in it and will just transfer if the trade happens. I called the complex office to see if they know who the car belongs to but got their voicemail. The car has no plates nor intransits on it.

The hair came out nice although even though I was told I probably wouldn't notice it being shorter I am as it won't stay behind my shoulder as well as it was. I'll get used to it and it will grow back with time.

Have a great day.

BARB Im glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoyed your family time. Yes no snow here that day only a few flurries that barely hit the ground. It didnt get below 39 the day that Norfolk had all their snow. I hope you found what you wanted cyber shopping. I dont do a lot of shopping on Black Friday as I dont like fighting the crowds and havent really gotten into doing a lot of cyber shopping either. DH and I will wait until he gets the additional 15% off for working Thanksgiving and Black Friday. That is when we do most of our holiday shopping. I hope you got some rest yesterday.

KELLY OK, Ill run the race you can call me Secretariat. LOL Yes DH is on his feet all day at work and for the most part I dont ask him to go walking with me when he has worked due to that and also the fact that it would get too dark before we could complete the walk. He did say as he was trying the inserts that they helped so much that he would be able to walk more with me. As of yet he hasnt done any exercises of any kind let alone walking since getting them. I havent watched the parade yet as I have been really busy the last couple days. I thought I had used the term Jackass Bridge in the past while talking about the 3 kids that have been on it, 2 of them since 2007 but maybe I didnt. Hopefully Ill get it watched this weekend. Now thats a BLT that I could get into. I didnt do much of that while preparing my Thanksgiving meal. Nice picture of your grandniece. Now I know what to be looking for when I get a chance to watch the parade.

SHARON Im glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Yes, keeping toddlers is hard work so Im sure you are in need of some relaxation after that. Thank you I am enjoying my time off so far. Its been a nice break. Hope you enjoyed your mani/pedi as you deserve it.

SUNNY I hope everything is going well for you.

Oh what a day yesterday. I got up and left the house shortly after DH left for work. I went to the gym and got in my work out before heading to get my hair done. He trimmed off the ragged ends and colored it to cover the silver (as he called it). He said I had some good health hair growth and showed me where my new growth was compared to the rest of the hair. He said that when I go back in May, just before leaving for the wedding, he will shape my hair a little more as he didnt want to cut off too much more having cut 1.5-2 inches off already. As I was leaving there I got a text from DH telling me that I needed to check the joint account for possible over draft charges (he wont leave that debt card in his wallet even when I tell him that there isnt any money in the account). I then decided that while I was close the one Bed Bath and Beyond I would stop there first to check on something that I have been thinking getting as I saw and advertisement that they now carry them but didnt find it. I did receive a coupon as I the store for 20% off all purchases for the day. They didnt have Black Friday specials yesterday just the 20% off. I immediately thought its time to pick up the wedding present for DSs wedding as they are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond. I went to the bridal department and asked to get their registry so I could make sure I got the correct wine glasses. The gal that printed it for me even took me to the area and helped me put the glasses in the cart. I also found a slicer (the motor burned out in ours so I have been slicing the meet for jerky by hand) on sale plus the 20% so picked up one of them while I was there. I saved $24.00 on the purchase. Yes now I have to store the wine glasses but thats OK I saved a lot more y purchasing them now than I would have waiting until close to the date. I then went to the mall to Riddles to have my wedding rings checked as I am supposed to be doing that every 6 months but misplaced my booklet and it has been over a year. They cleaned them and signed off on the inspection for me anyway. I have been told in the past that they dont strictly enforce the 6 month but look for continued inspections. While I was there I walked through Pennys and that is when I found the shirt that I posted a picture of yesterday. I then stopped by the bank on my way home and found that the account wasnt overdrawn but had less than $4.00 in it.

After getting home I ate some lunch and relaxed for about an hour before DH got home. We then left to go to the dealership to check out the email that I received that said my car is in high demand and that if we traded it in we could possibly get over blue book value for trading it in as well as lowering our monthly payments. WE ended up with the salesman that took over my sons accounts when he left the dealership. We looked at a couple cars and test drove one. We are going back today at noon to see what he found out as they needed to call the loan company to find out the payoff on our loan as it was too late last night to do that. I like this new car but if it doesnt work out and dont lower our payments Ill be all right with keeping the one we currently have. We did get to bring the car home last night so took it out for a little more of a test drive before coming home to eat supper and try to watch the Nebraska game. DH kept falling asleep so we only got half the game watched. We then tried going to sleep but someone had their car alarm going off every so often. Between 1 am and 1:50 it went off 5-6 times. By this time I was so frustrated that I called the county sheriff. They said they would send someone as soon as they could. An hour and a half later and a few more alarms and not sheriff had been by. Needless to say I didnt get much sleep last night due to that stupid car alarm.

Well I guess I should get dressed and go out to clean out my car just in case the trade in happens.

Have a great day everyone.
Thiry

How's your back Barb? Hope you let the family take care of you yesterday.

Sharon and Sunny I am sure you had a great visit. Sunny, you must be relieved that Josh is getting that extra push and Monday won't get here fast enough.

Thiry! Speed doesn't count all the time it is the quality so you will still be dubbed Secretariat.
In a way I understand hubby not wanting to go out if he is on his feet a lot at work (he's not getting a full time pass on it though). Good that he is getting relief from the inserts. Oh my, I am still laughing at Jackass Bridge, gotta remember that one! You have kept that door open for her, hopefully she is growing up enough to realize that gift. Hugs!

Don't know what I was thinking with my grandniece and the parade. Her squad was selected for the national cheer squad (not the band, etc). They were toward the end, ahead of Trixie the cute dog balloon that had the accordion legs, green and pink pompoms. She was in the back with the climbers. What a wonderful experience of a lifetime, including raising big bucks to be there. Still don't understand that amount required. I think the time they were given was the time they headed out, not when they hit the grandstand.

Sharon we were posting about the same time. My sister in law scored tix for the grandstands so they had a great time. My niece, as a chaperone, probably walked the parade and she got a couple of good pix. Talking with my brother in law and mother in law last night left me a bit melancholy about not being up there.

Happy Unstuff yourself day...geez, I did so many BLT's (bites, licks and tastes) fixing dinner for myself that when it was all said and done wanted none of it. Even after it all cooled down enough to stuff the fridge. Didn't like the crab dish I made from memory. Okay for me but glad it wasn't to share. The Galloping Gourmet would not be happy with me.

Anyone else venturing out for "bargains"??? Me neither. Never have, so why start now? Computer is slow and jams up so a lot of folks burning up their cards already.

Hugs and Prayers, will see you Lassies at 3!

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was long, but oh so delicious! I am wiped out today. Keeping 2 toddlers busy and engaged for 7 hours is hard work! emoticon

Barb, hope your back is feeling better by now. Sounds like you were well organized for turkey day prep!

Kelly, I just finished watching the parade, and enjoyed the cheer squad. They were awesome! Did you see your niece? How was it seeing the parade live? So happy your grandson is getting some much needed R&R with the family! Truly something to be thankful for!

Thiry, glad you got " sprung" from work early, and keep up the walking! That was some hike!
emoticon Hope you enjoy the rest of your long weekend!

Got to run as today is mani/ pedi day. Looking forward to some pampering myself!

See y'all later at Happy Hour!

BARB Yes 5 inches of snow in Norfolk, luckily that wasnt in Omaha where we live. Yes, Ive gotten to the point where if I am going to get my walk in I cant count on DH to go with me even though he said the new massaging shoe inserts worked great and his legs and back felt so much better. Sorry to hear that you wrenched your back protecting the turkey. I hope that it is feeling better now.

KELLY If I dont ask DH to walk he wont even think about doing it but that is his choice. Thanks for the high fives. No I dont have any of those doodads for my shoes but even if I had them I wouldnt have had them with me in Norfolk over the weekend to use while we walked at the lake. Yes I think DD is surprised at my current activity and hoping that it helps her to become more active herself. She said her doctor told her she needed to do exercises to help with her depression. Well lets wait a little while on the Secretariat title as while walking alone I dont walk as fast as DD and I walked last Saturday. What a wonderful Thanksgiving gift for the families at Ft. Campbell. I havent watched the Macys Parade but have it recorded so will watch for the cheer squad when I do.

SHARON Im glad you were able to rest the other day and were feeling better because of it. I hope you have a wonderful day with your family today as it sounds like you will have a long day ahead of you. Yes we had a really nice weekend. It looks like my youngest DD is starting to find her way off Jackass Bridge. It was nice spending time with her after 2 years of very little contact.

SUNNY Good to see you even if it is a short visit. Make sure to take care of your eyes as they are a very valuable asset. Have a great day with your family for Thanksgiving. Im glad that Joshua is making good decisions and hopefully this placement will be the one that helps him get past these problems. Continued prayers for him. Ill let them keep the snow in Norfolk as we didnt have any here.

Yesterday as we were getting ready for work I looked at DH and said do you know what we havent gotten out yet? I had planned to get the turkey out and put it in the refrigerator on Monday but didnt get done until yesterday as I forgot to do it. About 11:30 yesterday the CFO came to my cubicle and told me that sometime between 12 & 12:30, when I got to a good stopping point, I could leave as he was planning to close the office early. Needless to say I made myself be at a good stopping point at noon and left. I got my workout in and got to the store to pick up some groceries for today and was at the checkout by the time DH got off work. I baked my pumpkin pie last night so it is ready to go today. This morning I woke as DH was getting ready for work but since it was still dark I dosed for about an hour. About 8 I started getting ready to go for a walk as I wanted to get one in and there is a possibility of rain this afternoon so decided it was best to get the walk in first thing this morning. I got myself a drink ready, got my chap stick as my lips have been really dry, grabbed a washcloth to use in case of sweating and put my sweater on. I started walking at 8:37 and it was 37 degrees outside with a light wind. As I was walking I passed several people walking towards me (a few going the same direction) and most of them said hello and many said Happy Thanksgiving. As I walked I came to the point where I could turn and go over the bridge and back home (the 4 mile walk) or go straight to walk around the whole lake. I debated about taking the bridge but walked straight on to walk around the whole lake. As I got to the point where I reached the far west end of the lake and started on the way back my Fitbit notified me that I had met my steps for the day and I was using the washcloth to wipe sweat off my face. I arrived back home at 10:56 and saw that the temp was still at 37 with a wind chill of 33. I had walked almost 16,000 steps and 6.41 miles. My legs were a little achy when I got home but otherwise I felt pretty good. I then put the turkey in the oven so it should be ready when DH gets home from work shortly after 4 pm, finished tightening the buttons on my brown pants so I could get them in the washer with the clothes that I just took off after my walk (all sweaty) then took a shower. After the shower I sat on the couch and used the foot massager on my feet and soothing cool pack on my shoulders as they were feeling tight. I will need to get started on more of the Thanksgiving meal shortly so we can sit down and eat when DH gets home.

Tomorrow I am thinking of going to the gym first thing then head to get my hair done at 9:30. I figure that way when he gets done with dying it and washing it I wont have to worry about that later after I get home. While I am there I plan to discuss with the guy doing my hair a good timeline for getting it done again before the wedding and hopefully set up the appointment so I dont have to try to remember to do that at a later date. The rest of the weekend should be fairly relaxing but I do have to see if I can find my transcripts or diploma to take to work with me on Monday as the people doing the payroll audits are requesting it for my file.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.
Thiry

Will be raising a libation to all of you and your families as well!

Our grandson flew in to Boston on the red eye from San Dog for a few days of down time and parental spoiling. If you are watching the Macy's Parade, my Niece's Cheer Squad will be performing at or about 10:40a EST, Bartram Trail out of St. Augustine.

Meanwhile, eat, drink and be merry, hug your families tight and wear stretch pants.

Luv you all! Hugs and Prayers.

Quick pass through the drive thru, and last thing before heading off to bed. It was a very hectic day today, and tomorrow will be, too. Our celebration starts at 11 AM so up early to get everything together and head over. I wanted to make sure to wish my favorite ladies and your families a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. Love to you all, and will drink a libation in your honor. emoticon

Kelly: Well I can laugh @ it now because I feel better. I protected that turkey like a football player protects the ball when they're funning. UGH!

It's all cooked, cooled and carved, snugly in the refrigerator. PHEW

Sunny we seem to be checking in at the same time lately!!!

Hugs and all the best wishes and prayers sent for Joshua and of course you and the family. Take care of those peepers in the meantime.

I'm sure the carer has heard a lot worse four letter words strung together. I'm sorry but I am laughing at picturing you trying to protect that bird.

I've decided Lambrusco is not my choice for hot cocoa, but glad I gave it a try.

I am OK with the glasses as I have worn them for so long that not wearing them seems odd.
I thought I could possibly get by with just reading glasses but it was not to be.

Lambrusco is now on my list.

Do have a Happy Thanksgiving all.

Hugs, Sunny

Sunny: Oh my dear, prayers for Joshua AND you.

Oh no on the eyes. But good that glasses are the fix.

Kelly: Oh my gosh, you have transported me back in time w/the Lambrusco. That IS good. I can only imagine that would be excellent in hot chocolate!

You guys are just . . . the . . . BEST! Much love and hugs

I just strained a muscle in my back. Ice and heat alternating. ARNICA. Thank goodness I didn't lose the turkey! LAWRD. Otherwise, just my dignity was hurt as I did this with the carer here and a naughty word escaped my lips. rhymes w/HIT. **SIGH**

Oh My Gosh....Anything besides your back hurt? That is no way to get help around the homestead! You're smart to cook a day ahead. Take it easy and keep it simple, let them help themselves.

Discovered an Italian wine that I haven't had in years, probably not even on my radar that I can remember but there it was right in front of me this afternoon so it had to come home with me. Lambrusco. Had a little to check it out, now having it in hot cocoa. Not bad, but I'm thinking merlot.

Everyone as you prepare for tomorrow's festivities, take time to appreciate yourselves. Then party on, let the guests help, laugh til your sides hurt. Know that I have you all at the top of my Gratitude List.

Hugs and Prayers to our brave warriors and their families and our Republic.

Talked with Joshua today. He is going to Springfield, Illinois to a long term placement on Monday. The program is 6 months so pray with me that he completes this placement.

Family here and I have been baking today.

Saw the eye doc today and she said the left eye is weaker than the right thus I am seeing things differently. Ugh. She will do a complete eye exam in two weeks and I will have to wear glasses. She said the anxiety is coming from this and will improve after I get the glasses.

Barb, so sorry you fell. Ugh. Hope you feel better soon.

It is cold here too. We are going out for Mexican food tonight.

Hugs to all and to all a Very Happy Thanksgiving!

Love you all and appreciate you all so very much.

Wednesday well have the turkey stuffed and roasting. Does smell good, I have to admit.

Jason is working from home today. HURRAY!!!

Carer will be here soon. Better scoot.

Cold. Cold. Cold!

Darned if I didn't wrench my back. GRRRrr. Stuffed the turkey last night so I could just pop it in the oven. Stored it in the cooler. Got it out, no problem. Was ALMOST to the kitchen and fell, with the turkey. **SIGH** Turkey all right, my back, not so much, dang it!

It's better now after ice and heat. NOT what was needed! Thank goodness Jas is working from home today, so he is helping.

Ready for sumthin-sumthin already. Lawrd.

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y'all @ 3 pm. . . definitely!

Tuesday well started thawing the turkey. Got the veggies chopped, cranberries ready and will peel the sweet potatoes. Its getting closer!

Cold. Just plain cold outside!

Thats about it . . . just prepping for Thanksgiving!

Sunny: Good you are following Drs. orders. That will make recovery better.

Prayers for your Joshua and your family. Thats a good step that HE wants the help.

LOVE YOU TOO! Hugs and prayers.

Kelly: Pretty good day today so far and yesterday was a pretty good day, too. Mini-moods, but they passed.

HOooooooo boy, Missy Clara had a new appreciation for what I do 24/7 here from just the 5 hrs. we were gone. Uh huh. NOT EASY, is it! NOPERS. Oh well, hope it lasts.

HURRAY on the returning soldiers. BEST GIFT EVER!

OMG, yes, 53 yr. ago and I have to sheepishly admit I remembered it was this month but forgot the date. SHAME ON ME.

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

Definitely see youse @ 3!

PS: Sharon and Thiry: are you behaving out there? Knee deep in turkey giblets yet??

Well, I stopped by yesterday and this morning realize that I got distracted and forgot to come back.

Hope Mom's moods continue to improve. Wow she slept in yesterday, maybe today too? I'm sure Clara got a very grown up lesson in humility, quickly!

Thiry, good for you going on your own. Wondering how long it would take for hubs to invite himself if you stop asking him to go with you? Continued high fives!!! Oh do you have those dodads that go on your shoes to give you some traction on icy spots? I am sure your daughter was amazed at how active you are. We may have to start calling you Secretariat with those walk times.

Sharon you will barely have time to recover from the week end and it starts all over again. Are you going there, I forget. Any way your menu looks good.

I gave myself permission years ago to not have thousands of dishes and appetizers and no one was offended (openly). Leaving that to my Italian sister in laws and their huge famillies. Made sure what I had was yummy and plentiful though.

How are you holding up Sunny? Hugs. Oh Sunny you stopped in about the same time. That is a relief to hear about Joshua, made me smile real big and throw out an extra Amen. I agree with the eye rest - gotta take care of those peepers!

Well, a few Ft. Campbell families got their Thanksgiving gift early, a can of whooparse brought their soldiers home yesterday. Luv It!

This may be a colder winter than we've had in awhile even nationwide. Two years ago we were in the throws of sleet, how quickly we forget what Nov could be like.

Barely home yesterday, quiet day today. See you lassies at 3. Meanwhile lots of Hugs and Prayers and on this end of town, gratefulness that that crew of IED, EOD's and whatever they do are home safe and sound.

Oh and knew there was something else...can you believe it was 53 years ago that JFK was assassinated. Barely a blip on the radar nowadays.

Morning All!

Well, feeling better after a day of rest yesterday. Newsletter is DONE and GONE!!!! emoticon So, one less thing on my To Do List. Now, I can concentrate on Thanksgiving! Have a few dishes I am responsible for, appetizer and sides. It will be a full day, beginning at 11 AM, and I think dinner is planned for 4 PM.

We are in the process of renewing passports, so that is the focus now to try to get to the PO before the Christmas rush begins.

Thiry, sounds like you had a nice weekend, and so nice you found a wooden jewelry box, and got some great buys at the market.

Barb, glad you got some KP reprieve, and got mom & dad out. Glad mom seems to be doing better. How did Clara make out with he caregiver duty?

Kelly and Sunny, hope things are well with you.

Got to run, and get on with the day's activities. Catch ya later!

BARB We havent had any snow here yet but they had about 5 inches in Norfolk Friday. There was snow on the ground most everywhere while we were up there. As a matter of fact there was an area on the walking path at the lake DD and walked that was icy. I slipped a little when walking that area so DD and I slowed down our pace until we got past that area. Yes it was busy but we did have a good time and found a few good purchases while at the Yuletide Market.

KELLY Yes wood furniture does look really pretty when it is freshly polished doesnt it. I need to do that with ours again in the near future. Sorry you got side tracked and didnt make it to the bazar. We found some good purchases at the market we went to yesterday. I actually found a nice wood jewelry box (handmade) that I purchased, one that is smaller but similar to the one that I had been looking at for several years but those would have most likely been made of pressed wood. One of the wineries we visited on the wine tour was there so we picked up a couple bottles of their wine that we liked, a couple new scarves and a couple new ideas on how to wear them and a couple other things. DH actually won a door prize which was some herbal inhaler and a bottle of herbal bubble bath.

SHARON Good for you, we all need a lazy day once in a while and with the activities with the grands yesterday you most likely needed the nap today. Your Thanksgiving celebration sounds like a lot of fun enjoy your time with family. I actually have been taping a bunch of the Hallmark Christmas movies, especially the new premiers. Im hoping to get them watched by Christmas.

SUNNY I hope you are doing well. Continued prayers for you and your son.

This morning after getting home from church I was doing some things on my computer and looked at some notifications on FaceBook. One of them was in the Husker Power page which was a picture taken at the game yesterday. One of the traditions at Nebraska is to release red balloons after Nebraskas first score of the game. Sometime later in the game someone snapped a picture of one of the deflated red balloons landing on the field on the 27 yard. Yesterdays game was Senior day as it was the last home game of the season and one person that was a senior was the punter Sam Foltz who was killed in a car accident in Wisconsin back in July. The team has been honoring him all season as well as the opposing teams. The interesting thing about this picture of the balloon landing on the 27 yard line was that Sams number was 27.Many people are commenting that Sams spirit brought that balloon back into the stadium to the 27 yard line.

I spent some time this afternoon transferring some of my jewelry from other containers into the new jewelry box. It started getting late so I changed clothes and took off for a walk at the lake. I had hoped that DH would walk with me but of course he found an excuse to not go for a walk. I walked the same path that I have walked the last couple times but this time it took a little longer than what it did the last couple times as during my walk I saw about 15 deer. Now I know that some of them could have been the same deer but that doesnt matter, I counted 15 of them during the 1.5 hour walk.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Oh Sharon, nap time for Nana for sure you earned it! Now they are going to expect to be super entertained at each visit.

And, I decided to finally tackle John's nightstand because I have AmVets coming to pick up stuff. Long as I'm doing this might as well do more than a lick and promise and do more than dust it. Well, sprayed some Ole English, it dragged - hmmm clean rag. Got out the wood cleaner, that is what it needed: badly. Gee, forgotten how pretty our wood furniture is. See what you started awhile back Sharon? Thanks, I kinda like the bedroom a bit sparkly.

How's your Mom settling in Barb?

Sunny, you all have my prayers daily.

Thiry I didn't make it over to the bazaar, kept getting sidetracked. A friend's daughter is doing one next week end and she has awesome stuff so think I'll brave the traffic and head north of here for that.

Still no much needed wet stuff out of the sky. Was watching football from LA...it is pouring there. Leave some for us! Chilly today, cold tonight. Forgot to pick up Merlot yesterday, think I'll get some for Turkey day to go with dessert instead of Irish coffee.

Nitey Nite, see youse all in the manana. Lots of Hugs.

Happy Sunday!

Well, I am being one "lazy bones" today. Just woke up from a nap, and I rarely take a nap! Our grands were nuclear powered yesterday! "Let's play tag!" " Let's go on a bear hunt!" ( not the hand play, but through the house) DGS was running between the door to the garage, and me non- stop back and forth for at least 15 minutes. Oh my gosh they were something! But we love spending time with them.

We're invited for Thanksgiving Day,and it will be an all day affair starting at 11AM with a light brunch including my Shrimp Cocktail, and veggie platter in the shape of a turkey for the kids, but veggies for all.

Even though I an eschewing Christmas for another 4 days, I Couldn't help myself, and watched one of my favorite Christmas movies on Hallark Channel, "Let It Snow". That is how I want to spend Christmas at least once before I die along with my DS and his family. It is a cute story and is all about the traditions of Christmas. I HIGHLY recommend it!

DH "practicing for retirement" again this week.

Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday! Off to do my blog! emoticon

Sunday went to IL for my endo check up. Thyroid good. But borderline osteoporosis, so suggesting Prolia. Ummm. . . gonna do my research on that one. I know it causes jaw bone deterioration and can cause spontaneous fractures. DANG. So, not rushing into that one.

Otherwise had our first snow too. BAH. But at least it was just a dusting.

Sunny but cold today!

HUGS

Thiry: Wow! You had a busy Saturday!

Sharon, Sunny, Kelly: Hope it's a good Sunday.

Hugs and prayers for all our soldiers, families and our country.

See y'all @ 3 pm.

BARB I will definitely do that if she shows up at the show that night. Yes the runner was. The way he got hit and flew a little way it is very surprising that he wasnt hurt more than just the bruises. Congrats on the good news from the doctor.

KELLY Hope you made it to the church bazaar, had a good time and maybe some good purchases.

SHARON Thank you. We had a good day and got home about 9:30 then started watching the Nebraska game that we taped while we were gone. Yes the time off with pay will be nice. There was some talk of my company actually not having that week off since we are not the Head start schools as payables/receivables continue even though the schools are not in session but several of the staff that transferred from the schools to the company I work for said they would quit if they didnt get that time as when they were offered the new positions they were told they would get the same benefits they had before the transfers. So, it was decided to give us the same time off as the schools were getting. Hope you had a good time babysitting.

SUNNY Im glad your sister was able to come and help you with the house. I definitely plan to strut in front of her if she actually shows up at the show that night. I may take my jeans with me and change into them as they will accent the weight loss more than my dress pants I wear to work.

We got to Norfolk about 10:30 this morning. I sent a text to DD about 9:15 letting her know we would be there in about an hour. She didnt respond until after 1:30 as she said she slept until about 12:30. I also sent DS a text while we were driving as I wanted to know if he had his daughter this weekend as today was her birthday and if he did I wanted to wish her a happy birthday. As we were leaving the Yuletide market I sent DD a text letting her know we were leaving then decided to call her but for some reason my phone wouldnt let the call go through as it kept telling me I needed to reenter the 10 digit number so I ended up using DHs phone to call DD. We met up with her then went to supper at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Norfolk. DD and I had the burrito dinner and a margarita, DH has the super taco dinner. He picked up his taco and for some reason dropped it on his plate. When he dropped the taco DD commented that part of his taco ended up on her plate. She used her fork to pick it up and put back on his plate. A little while DD started to pick up her glass of water to take a drink and noticed that there was shredded cheese in her water glass. She said out lord that there was cheese in her glass of water. As she said that the server was at the table next to us cleaning it and looked at out table with an expression on her face that was priceless. She started walking toward our table as DD turned and asked if she could get a new glass of water. The server gladly brought her a new glass of water. After finishing out meals, which I just about wasnt able to finish, DD and DH decided they wanted fried ice cream. I said that was fine but I wasnt getting one myself but would snitch some from them. The server brought 3 spoons when she brought the 2 fried ice creams. With the meal and the little fried ice cream I had I was very full. We then took her across the street to check her schedule as she had something come up next week and needed to see about changing the work schedule to be able to participate in the activities. We then decided to go to the lake to walk before heading to church at 5:30. By the time we got to the lake it was around 4:30. We got out of the car and started walking and at one point DD turned around and told her dad that maybe he should turn around and head the other direction and meet up on the other side of the lake. We walked the 1.92 mile path around the lake in 35 minutes and made it to the church 10 minutes before the service started. After the service we talked with our former pastor for a few minutes before we headed home. About minutes after we left DD she called to tell me that she had just received the message that I sent as we were leaving the market. After getting off the phone with her I checked my phone and still didnt have a response from DS as to whether he had his daughter this weekend. I then sent a message to his girlfriend asking if they had his daughter and after a little while DS called me. He said he had responded that morning and that his girlfriend also replied. I told him I hadnt received his text and hadnt heard her text come in either. I then looked at my phone and saw that I had 3 text messages from him the last which supposedly came in about the time we met DD and also had 3 texts from his girlfriend which supposedly had come in about 10 15 minutes earlier. I dont know what gremlin was interfering with my phone today but it was a bit frustrating.
Have a great Sunday everyone.
Thiry

Back! Thyroid news good -- thyroid smaller, nodule in right lobe unchanged. No problem BAD cursed news -- have to start Prolia for osteopenia/borderline osteoporosis. NOT happy about that. Will do my research, though, before I start it.

Did get snow but just a dusting and more a nuisance. UGH. Yikes . . . they'd freeze here if they're wearing winter coats @ 40. I had a Columbia fleece on and it was 32!

Lot of chatter this morning! Out the door early, with our monthly eat way too much breakfast. Stopped at the bank, wow were they busy! Stopped at the house to see if I have to pick it up for company tonight or if we decided to do libations and chow out. No decision yet. Might as well vacuum anyway.

Safe travels Barb, thumbs up visit with Doc and learning curb vibes to Clara. By all means, enjoy your dinner out too!

That market sounds so neat. Our church is doing a bazaar today, I'll stop and check it out.

We were supposed to get wet stuff overnight, nada, but it is chilly. HaHa you'd think it was winter with the overcoats today, folks it isn't even down to 40!

Well, will check back later, hugs!

I think we just better leave that "Protective Bubble" in place. I have confidence that someday Joshua will do what he needs to do.

BARB Sorry to hear that last night was such a rough night for you. Hopefully it will all get better. Yes the meeting did finally happen and was quite interesting. I agree that karma is in store. Now I am almost hoping that she does show up that night as in addition to seeing the weight loss she would also see Bill singing Happy Birthday to me since he acknowledges peoples birthdays at his shows. Thank you.

KELLY Hope you had a good day today

SHARON Oh yes I do plan to strut my stuff if she actually does show up. It is amazing what a person can accomplish when they are not under the stress that she was causing while I was working for her even though we were good friends.

SUNNY I am sorry that you had to deal with the call from the hospital but we all know that you did the right thing even though it was probably one of the hardest things you had to do. You are so right that Joshua needs to deal with this situation on his own and that it will be better for him in the long run. Prayers continue for you during this rough time. I hope that you enjoy the time with Jason and his family.

It was an interesting day again today. As I was getting ready for work I saw an article on the news about a cross country race that was going on and at one point someone Hollard watch out for the deer. Just seconds after the shout out a deer ran into one of the cross country runners and knocked him over. After that deer and several others ran on past the runner got up and continued the race. They said that he only had a few bruises from the run in with the deer.

After getting to work I heard the other 2 people in the office discussing our Christmas break. According to the company handbook we get off from Christmas Eve through New Years Day as holiday pay. Now with Christmas eve being on Saturday is was decided that will get Friday the 23rd off and since New Years Day is on a Sunday we will get the following Monday off so I will be off with pay from the time I leave the office on December 22nd through January 2nd. This is great timing as DS and his fianc will be here that week so I will be free to spend time with them without having to worry about work. Late morning I finally was asked to meet with the ladies that are working on the payroll files. That was so interesting as I found out that there wasnt even a file started for me so I ended up spending the next half hour filling out the required forms that need to be in the payroll file. I also need to take in my degree information for them to put in my file so I have to see if I can find that this weekend. About lunch time there was a discussion between the payables clerk, payroll clerk and the director of finance about getting lunch. The CEO was in the office and she told them that they should talk to the rest of the office staff about lunch and she would pay. I also talked with the CFO about the deer vs cross country runner video as he and his kids all did cross country. While we were talking I told him about the comments yesterday about my not losing more weight so the coworker and I would be together as short fat ladies in the office and that I told her that I was sorry but I was going to continue to lose weight so I look good at my sons wedding. He looked at me and said you are doing a great job at that. That made my day having him acknowledge my weight loss. He commented about not working out any longer and I told him he is more than welcome to leave the office with me at 3 each day and go to the gym with me. He chuckled. After work I have my usual trip to the gym then home for supper.

Tomorrow DH and I are heading to Norfolk to the Yuletide Market to see if I can get some more of the dry hands stuff that I purchased a few years ago and get a new catalogue so when I run out of the product I am able to order more from the company so I dont have to run to Norfolk all the time to get some. I told DH that while we are in Norfolk I want to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant since it has been quite a while since I have had my favorite meal from there. We are also hoping that we will get a chance to see DD for a little while during our trip. So I guess I should be getting ready for bed so I can get up in the morning for the trip.

Have a great Friday everyone.
Thiry

Sharon: Oh my Miss Clara is going to get a belly full tomorrow, because Jas and I have to go to IL (endocrinology appt. for me) and she's going to stay w/my parents and Mr. Spot. Uh huh . . . that oughta straighten out a few priorities. AND we are going to go to supper @ our fav place in the vicinity of the endo.

Yup . . . full fledged Old Faithful in the kitchen. Did get the water turned off, so clean-up, but coulda been a heckuva lot worse. That's for sure.

We do have full spectrum lights in the front room and bedrooms, but not the kitchen. Think I'm going to do that.

The plumber man is here now to install the new faucet, so we'll see how that goes. I like the faucet we chose (another Moen).

Ok, ready for a libation -- and today I def need the help of chocolate. So, hot chocolate, maybe like yesterdays with merlot.

HUGS and LOVE LOVE LOVE your gratitude series. Check out 2BDYNAMIC'S blog. EXCELLENT as well.

Happy Friday! Quick check-in before I head out the door. OMG, Barb, I am so so so sorry to read about your night last night! I hope that something will soothe your mom today to give you a breather. Does your mom have any favorite foods? Maybe you can try "bribing her with these for dinner?

Clara should be tasked to help you with your mom - maybe helping to keep her occupied through coloring, looking at pictures, listening to music, etc. YOU need some HELP!!!!

OMG, a geyser in the kitchen in the middle of all of this?! Hopefully, it is fixed by now!

Have you installed "full specturm" light bulbs in all your fixtures? That can be done instead of those "SADS" lights.

Nothing says you can't have some libation before 3 PM. It's definitely 3 PM somewhere right now!

I do hope that this morning has been better for you, and your mom.

Thiry: Hope you get to strut your stuff in front of your friend! I keep praying for the truth to be exposed to help you at work.

Sunny, sending love your way, and keeping you all in my prayers. Glad your surgery was a success! Have you thought about joining an ALANON group? I can only imagine how hard it was to say NO to the ER, and continues to be on you both. I echo Barb's sentiments.

Kelly, I agree with you that Barb should insist on me time this week end and get rid of that cold. Up your probiotics, too. Thanks for ALL the advice and info you've found! I'm still researching and will post any interesting things I find.

We are going to go with VSP for vision. It will be standalone, but since both of us wear glasses, we need it. There are different plans, and so we will pay out of pocket to keep what we currently have which is their best coverage.

I am still researching dental plans too, and "still in the dark" on that. No plans seem to offer anything greater than $1.5K ceiling for a year, and those are pricey. So we'll have to keep digging on that.

We don't have to worry about prescription coverage as we are enrolled in Tricare for Life. Their vision and dental plans stink, which is why we are looking to pay more to "DIY, and enroll directly ourselves".

May still do an Medicare Advantage Plan for the same reasons you are, and want the flexibility of a PPO. I hate HMOs and military health care!

Got to run! Catch you later!

Kelly: I know, I know. Never know when the Spark Trolls are going to strike. **sigh**

DEFINITELY going thru sun downers. I had all the lights on high beam in the house so it was light, but still, didnt work. Try again today. At least right now the sun is out and she is having moments of clarity!

Sunny: Prayers continue for you and your Joshua. Yes, He can help Joshua. Hope hes open to it!

Awwww, I can only imagine your anguish at having to say NO to the ER. BUT in my heart, you have nailed it. This has to be his recovery and giving him aide is like putting a bandage on a bleeding jugular. **SIGH**

Sending love your way.

Thanks everyone. Another restless, sleepless night but we are confident that God can and will be what Joshua needs so our prayers continue.

We did get a call yesterday from the ER in Hannibal saying Joshua was there seeking treatment. They ask if he could stay with us until a bed opened up in the treatment facility. We said no as it just would not work. We can not be a part of his recovery. Everything we have ever done to help him as just been like putting a "band aide" on a bleeding jugular. If he has success this round, it has got to be up to him. The harder he has to work, the more it will mean to him.

I am cleaning today (hopefully) in an attempt to get ready for Jason and his family who will arrive on Tuesday.

Barb, I do hope your day with Mom is better. Bless her heart. What a meltdown. You are one of the strongest women I have ever known and for that, I am in awe.

Sharon, navigating medicare and all the supplements can be a daunting task. Good luck!

Kelly and Thiry, thanks so much for your support and love. I can not tell you how much it means to me.

Take care and know I love you all, Sunny

Okay the SparkTrolls are at it again, when I came over to the thread it didn't show Barb and Thiry had stopped by...so I'll go check that out. Seriously was not ignoring you two and now I see Sunny stopped by at the same time. HUGS all.

Hugs Barb. Do you think she is going through sundowners? Wish I was closer to help you fluff your angel wings and give you some down time. Insist on me time this week end and get rid of that cold. Easier said than done I know.

Do not envy you Sharon, I am looking for a reasonable policy that is portable and not tied just to emergency care. I take it you can not continue on hubby's policy, I couldn't on John's, didn't matter because he for a regrettable decision opted out of his company policy for himself.

You can go with straight Medicare without the advantage or supplement plans but you still have to find Rx coverage. Depending upon what you go with, even the ones that have a monthly premium you might get very limited dental and eye (basic exams only, co-pays on treatments if covered). I have a no monthly premium, basic policy. (I have a dental policy that stinks.) For medical care I pay co-pays for office, ER, hospital and procedures, it works for me because even with this year my out of pocket still didn't max out. Down side is you have to get referrals for specialists, etc. OF COURSE Medicare still takes their 104 or whatever it is from everyone. Many policies do not include the required Rx coverage so beaware of that bugaboo. You have to have it.

Be mindful of policies where there were no referrals, no copays for office and don't remember what else, they can be pricey - then you likely have to add dental and vision on top of it. Really. So be very leary of those ads that tout free medical care or what in the H they claim, it isn't, the premium gets your wallet big time. Then you look at it closely and you still have the out of pocket cap of deductibles on medical and Rx whatever it is now, I can't remember what it is. Likely up to 14 or 15K a year together. Premiums not included.

I looked at one through AARP and do not want to do it because I detest them but it is portable; but it will give me piece of mind. Of course I need to find out how much more it'll cost me since I have a Ca history. I have one more to look at and that is Aetna. I am hoping the policy is reasonable because we had that when John was working and it was great.

All of these insurance companies used to have community meetings where they would give you the sales pitch then meet with you to try to twist you arm to go with them but I don't see them doing it now. You have to hunt someone down and suffer through their presentation. So we will go through this together Sharon. Sometimes I think I'll just go with straight Medicare, if a place takes Medicare they have to take you. It's a crapshoot anyway you look at it.

Hugs Sunny, and all of you. Wearing my RED today. Still warm enough don't need a jacket so can show it off. See ya at 3, likely only for tea.

Friday OMG, there just simply are no words to describe yesterday. This was just an evening to end all evenings. Mom was not interested in supper. "I'll eat later and that's that." Well, forget about getting her to eat then. She'd just said she was hungry. Left the food there but she only took a bite. Oh well. Shell eat when shes hungry. I HOPE.

Then I asked Clara to clean her room (total mess). She had a hissy.

IN THE MEANTIME I started cleaning the dishes and food from the dining room table, Mom was arguing with /dad. LORD just shoot me now.

When I went to start doing the dishes, the faucet broke. Would not turn off. FINALLY got the valves under the sink to move and shut off the water. Called the plumber. He can't replace the broken part, need a new faucet. They don't sell the single hole faucets, so, he suggested going to Home Depot and then calling back to make an appointment to install it. Sooooo.... Jason got a faucet on his way home and waiting to hear back from the plumber to get it installed.

It simply has to be 3 pm somewhere! Im ready for some libation.

All I can say is this morning just HAS to be better.

Thiry: Well, hope that the meeting, if it happens today, goes well.

Oh boy, would that be good karma or what if your ex-friend is there and you can show her what youve accomplished! Good job!!!

Sunny, Kelly and Sharon: HOpe it's a good Friday. Ready for 3 pm already!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

BARB Good to hear that moms eye is starting to look better. Yes my DH is hard on phones. His main phone killer is the water but he has also run one over with the lawn mower. Needless to say that one was totally ruined and no chance of getting any information from it. Sorry your mom had such a rough day yesterday and hoping things were a lot calmer for her today. I hope you are able to get some rest tonight.

KELLY I never thought about telling DH to go find a 5th grader to help him with his new phone and he didnt even begin to look for the directions. You would think with as many times as he has had to replace his phone he would have a good idea on what to do when setting up a new phone. Good to hear that the colonoscopy went well. Prayers that all tests come back negative.

SHARON Good luck at the dentist. Thanks, the reports are in and yes the CFO does know that I wasnt able to file my claims due to not having the required information I needed. DH is beginning to figure the phone out but will take a while. You are right about men and that reminds me of a saying that I have heard many times and even used myself. It is, when a woman marries she gets her first child then adds on from that.

SUNNY good to hear that your cataract surgery was successful. Sorry to hear about Joshua. Tough Love can be really hard but as you know you need to hold to what you said to him. I had to learn that with almost all my kids as they have all been tough love kids. Many prayers headed your way.

I had an interesting day today. To begin I was sent an email a couple days ago by the CEO to tell me that the people that are auditing the payroll files would be meeting with me sometime between 1-2 and that I should have the documentation needed for an I-9. That never happened although they did meet with several of the others in the office and I heard her talking to 2 of the people telling them she had to leave for an appointment so she would meet with them tomorrow and she gave them the paperwork for them to fill out ahead of time. She never stopped by or talked to me at all so I guess I will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Then one of my coworkers that is housed in another building was at the office today. At one point I was heading to the bathroom and she was heading back into the office area and we just about ran into each other. We talked a little bit and she said, Youve lost quite a bit of weight. I replied with almost 40 pounds and if things go the way I hope I will be down another 40-50 pounds by June 3, 2017. Then she said that I needed to quit losing weight as if I continue to lose weight she will be the only short, fat lady in the office and that we need to stick together. I said, sorry but I plan to look nice for my sons wedding in June. After work I headed to the gym as usual and as I walked in the gal that signed DH up for his membership was behind the desk. As she saw me walking in her eyes lit up and I put up 4 fingers then indicated a zero. When I got to the desk she told me I was looking great. We talked a little bit and she told me to keep up the good work as it was paying off. It felt nice to actually have someone recognize and say something about the weight that I have lost.

After getting home I was getting on the computer to do my Spark People while waiting for supper to cook and noticed that I had an invitation to the Ozone on 11/30 for Bill Crastils show. As I was looking at the page I noticed that my ex-friend had posted that she will be there. I chuckled and went to talk to DH. I asked if he wanted to take bets on whether she will actually be there or not. He didnt want to bet me as she always says that she will do something but usually doesnt follow through. I did tell DH that I need to make sure that I wear something that day that really shows how much weight I have lost since I saw her last just in case she would happen to show up that night.

Have a great Friday everyone.
Thiry
