Thursday – Another gorgeous day today so was able to get Mom and Dad outside. Not today though. Winter returneth. UGH

Got Dad’s taxes mailed off. Hurray! OFF MY PLATE!

Kelly: You said it. I am glad to have the condo sale done and under the belt. Could have been much worse.

Glad sleep is coming a little easier.

OMG . . . UTI’s are just a total scourge. The elderly don’t want to drink cuz . . . they’ll . . . have to pee! **SIGH** And yup . . . dehydration . . . a tag along w/the UTI. **SIGH** Mom had that, too. GLAD your mom has an ally in the head nurse. I am telling you, it is disgusting how quickly they are ready to discharge EVERYONE, even when they’re not ready. GRRRrrrrr.

HUGS

Sunny: OMG! Glad our sis is in recovery. FIVE HERNIA repairs. Lawrd. The’s gonna have some discomfort.

Sharon, and Thiry: Have a great Thursday.

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y’all @ 3 pm . . . fer sure!

Sis is in recovery right now. They ended up repairing 5 hernias all located around her previous surgery. Doc said she did good and will go to her room soon.

So sorry about your Mom, Kelly. UTI's can do that in older adults. So glad she is OKAY.

I hope to be home by 3 so I might see you later.

Hugs, Sunny

How's your Sis, Sunny? All the best for a swift and uneventful recovery.

I hope you got your folks out for some real vitaD and I bet it helped, so hope you can do it more often! Tomorrow evening brings the heavy rain storms. 70's here too! Sweeeetttt.

Hang in there Barb, next years tax will be easier without dealing with a home sale.

There's no turning back now Thiry, tix are confirmed and April will not get here soon enough. That's the only downside to these events, you have to wait so long for it to happen. Wonderful reward for hard work! I think you should treat yourself to something new. But I'm willing to bet by that time you won't be able to alter down anything else. Wait, knowing how good you are with that machine, I am probably wrong!

Think the sleepless time is over for now. Sharon, can't blame it on Mooch unless she is doing it from Heaven - she and hubby creating more mischief? I think I have OCD of the mind, doesn't shut off sometimes. By the way, have you recovered from your trip? Maybe your hubs needs to adjust a little more to being away from the rigors of work and sleep will be longer? Retirement can be frustrating at times, for both.

Our sofas are high back, deep and real comfy...I'm not big into a lot of stuff on the shelves, etc the house has never looked like a magazine shoot with a lot of stuff all over so furniture wise I'm not a minimalist I guess. Love those sofa's, had slipcovers made for them 16 years ago, best investment ever.

Quick dinner last night, great visit with the inlaws. One of the dinners got dropped on the way out, oops, then they forgot to take it off the bill so the manager gave a guest card. I have a habit of not having my cell on me (trying really hard especially when I know I'm out at night), had to run home to get it before heading up to meet them. Good thing! Kid gave me the wrong restaurant AND town! Of course I don't have his number memorized or in my wallet, so it would have been a drive for nuthin! (Yes, I have their numbers in the wallet now) One day of driving with the teen has already scrambled his brain. HA Daughters do things like that to their Daddys.

As I'm heading home in traffic on the interstate, cell rings, ignore it. Home, there are two calls on the house phone and two on the cell from my brother in law. They are on a college road trip with their daughter, so Mom is home alone (with family nearby that checks on her daily). Grandson comes in, she is on the bathroom floor unable to get up (she falls at times, she's nearly 98) but her speech was slurred so he calls the medics. No strokes, no broken anything or concussion but a UTI (sympathy for your Mom Barb?) and seriously dehydrated. So they are keeping her overnight (the floor head nurse is a family friend and she said they will work on a not so fast discharge) They are flying home from Alabama today but won't get in until early evening so if she gets the boot, someone would be more than happy to stay with her. Sister in laws family loves her as their own, KewL! The kiddo has a tuition full ride for UofAlabama and she loved the campus so unless someone comes up with a better offer she will be a RollTider. A Yank amoungst all those rednecks, luv it! (No one in our fam is a UofA fan though)

Hugs and Prayers and will see ya at 3!

Kelly

Wednesday – well yesterday was nice enough I could get Mom and Dad outside in the sun! Today promises to be another day like that. I hope so. It did Dad a world of good to be outside.

He also had PT – the beginning of round 2 – and did well. Soooo. . . there is hope!

Otherwise it was reviewing the . . . tax . . . documents w/him. Lawrd. I am truly amazed I have ANY hair left on my head. But I think we’re good to go.

Here’s to a good Hump Day.

Kelly: Yes, it took me a little by surprise that they were changing the bed out, but it is a good thing.

I think Dad will benefit from the PT if he’ll do the work. Oh, it’ll be a while with the bruising and such, but it’s less intense. That’s good

Week nights are hard to do w/o KP because Jas doesn’t get home till 7:15 or 7:30 pm. But we are taking that break on the weekend for sure. eARNED!

Weird weather but I”ll take it. Supposed to be up to 70 today then winter weather watch from Thursday evening to Friday evening. NOOooo.

Thiry: I think it will help if I can get them out for awhile again today before the weather turns.

No results from the labs yet, but should be today.

Glad you got your compute to the needed programs. What a pain!

Glad you’re getting to go to San Diego!

Sunny: Love Frank Lloyd Wright too.

Thanks for the links!

Good luck to your sis and travel safely.

Wow! 6 miles biking. . . excellent!

Sharon: for sure the de-crapifying goes much more smoothly when DH is not here.

How is your friend’s Mom doing? Think of them often.

Well, will try to get Mom and dad out again while the weather permits!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y'all @ 3 pm.

Me too, Sharon. I love overstuffed chairs and sofas and it is a good thing as that is what we have. hehehe

Our son (Joshua) leans more towards modern, minimalist style and it fits him to a T! It just feels too "stiff" for me.

I have biked today (6 miles) and am now going to concentrate on fixing some soup for Shar.

Take care and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Checking in early. I LOVE FLW too, and just mission style in general. I don't think there's been anything since that even comes close in architecture or design. I love the old leather and wood mission chairs, the craftsmanship that went into the design and woodwork. I abhore modern, minimalist, stuff. The furniture you see everywhere now is just tacky - no style or feeling. It's cold and lifeless - has no soul. I am a traditionalist, and love cozy and comfy. I loved the overstuffed chairs and sofas you could just settle into.

Thiry, glad your trip is all set. I do my best de-crapifying when DH is not around. I think most men are pack-rats just by nature. Must be in the prehistoric DNA.

Sunny, hope all goes well for your sis tomorrow. Will definitely keep her in my prayers tonight. Safe travels.

Kelly, hope you are doing well.

Barb, hope your folks are both in good moods today, and that you can get your dad to take a walk.

Enjoy your day everyone!

We have been to Falling Waters (Frank Lloyd Wright House) in NY and there is one is Wichita also - The Allen House. https://flwrightwichita.org/

A couple of years ago, some architect students found some lost plans for a Boat House and they built it in Buffalo. It is amazing but there are some who do not think they were Wright's plans but it is still billed as a Wright structure. www.wrightboathouse.com/

Also, a cemetery in Buffalo has a monument designed by him. It is called The Blue Sky Mausoleum. www.blueskymausoleum.com/

I love his architecture!

I am sorting through photos too, Thiry and it feels like I will never be done. Ugh... I hope everyone is enjoying this weather. It is so unseasonal but so welcomed!

Off to the sun room & to the bike.

Sis's surgery is tomorrow (she has an abdominal hernia) and she has to be at the hospital at 6:00 so I am leaving here around 5 am. I will see you all later in the day - I hope.

Take care and hugs to you all, Sunny

BARB – Yes resorting is very annoying and I seem to do it a lot more than I like. I’m hoping to get the stuff in the house sorted and organized so I can start working on some of the boxes in the storage unit. I’m thinking that when I go through the boxes of pictures I will set up small boxes for each of the kids and hand off some of their pictures to them now so it doesn’t have to be done later and will hopefully make some room for other things here. Sorry to hear about your dad being in a funk, hopefully you will be able to get him out of it soon and hoping that the med change helps with your mom’s falls. Hopefully the blood workup and urinalysis will provide some answers. Hopefully the new bed will be a big help. I hope you were able to relax some this afternoon.

KELLY – Yes it was a busy day and I got a lot done of course I would have gotten more done if DH hadn’t interrupted and messed up some of my work. Yes DH and the cats do have the same habit in different ways, DH by moving thing and piling up stuff I had sorted and the cats by walking on it and mingling the piles or knocking them off the table that I have them set on. Good to hear that you are getting caught up on your sleep. There’s nothing worse than being tired from lack of sleep. Good luck finding the rest of your tax stuff. I haven’t started getting that information together as of yet.

SHARON – It sounds like you had a wonderful time with your friends and their place sound fabulous. Oh how I would enjoy sipping wine by the fire pit any time of the year. Yes more pants needing alterations. It seems like as I am finishing with alterations on my pants I need to start over and alter then more. I will keep doing this though until I get a lot closer to my goal weight so I don’t have to buy new clothes several times. Thanks, yes he interferes in many ways. If he isn’t moving things he is sitting there asking “what’s that” with almost everything I look at so that is why I don’t do the sorting when he is around.

SUNNY – Oh, so glad you had a good day with Joshua and that he is happy. Sorry you didn’t get the appointment but praying things will work out the way you want in March when you are able to meet with them. I have seen some Frank Lloyd Wright homes on some TV shows but haven’t every had the pleasure of seeing one in real life.

Oh what a day today. When I got to work and logged into the 2 programs I need to do my work I found that in the one I didn’t have access to the information I needed to do my work. I asked one of the other people in the office if they were having trouble with the program only to find out they weren’t. After waiting for out “IT” person to come in I realized that she wasn’t coming to the office today so I emailed her. After a call and several emails I have gotten most of the access back as she had changed access codes after the previous night’s upgrades and put me into the “accounting” group. None of the other “accounting” personnel do anything in this program that I know of. This took about 3 hours before it was all done. At that point I was able to finish work that I had started when I first got there but wasn’t able to do until the access was restored. Well my trip to San Diego is definitely a go. I am now registered at the conference and motel, have plane tickets scheduled and a shuttle arranged to take me and 2 others (from another site) from the airport to the motel when we arrive and back when we leave as we are all booked on the same flight out of Omaha.

After work I filled my gas tank then headed to the lake to walk again. It was in the 70’s again today so I felt the need to be outside. I most likely won’t have that option later this week as rain and snow are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Wow Sharon, I hope visit again soon! What a wonderful abode. Wine by the firepit in February, crazy huh! I'm sorry to hear your friends Mom is struggling so. Sunny, we had a cobblestone house in NY, now 100 yrs old or close to it but nothing no where near as grand.

Happy you had a great visit with a happy and a little weightier Joshua! I love the Frank Lloyd Wright design, with all the places we have lived really never near a true one. Interesting beer you had even to rarely a non beer drinker. Sleep tight! I think you had a lot on your mind.

That's good they are changing her bed out Barb. And that Dad is moving up with his PT, maybe the change of scenery will be good. That's great your Mom is looking better, already. Wow when I rearranged my face it took a long time. Maybe you two should make a weekly night off kp or do it more often.

We worried too when John first retired, but it all worked out. I still take a deep sigh, it's human nature. Remember to take time to enjoy yourselves!

Quiet day here, actually except for tomorrow and Saturday, got nuthing to do. Saturday is the annual weather geek session. I hope it isn't as paired down as last year as far as the exhibits and who brought their weather trucks with them. Always something new to learn though. Tomorrow they are celebrating granddaughters birthday early due to school activities. Gosh hard to believe she will be 16!

Okay, nighty nite - see all y'all for cawfee in the morning!

Yes, the PT wears him out for sure!

Thrilled to hear that Joshua looks good. That's wonderful.

I lived pretty close to Oak Park, IL and they have quite a few beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Gorgeous style.

Ok, off to relax myself. I think everything is just catching up w/me. UGH.

HUGS.

Just stopping by to say Hi. We had a nice day out to see Joshua. He looked good and looked happy, had put on a little weight.

We could not get the appointment with the Vet's center but will call back in March like directed and set up an appointment.

We had a nice lunch out and took time to see the Frank Lloyd Wright home there. Oh my, was that beautiful...

www.dana-thomas.org/

I am tired so headed to my PJ's and some couch time. It is going to be an early night. I didn't sleep at all last night. I had regular ice tea at Bible Study and I knew better. ugh.

We stopped in Hannibal on the way home and had a Ruben Sandwich and an Apricot Habanero Wheat Beer at Mark Twain Brewery. It has a little heat but it is a good beer.

Take care and have a good evening.

Sharon - your friend's place sounds great! We used to have an old Stone House on some land North of my Home town, Russell, Kansas but Dad sold it after we all left home. I would have loved to have seen that house restored.

Barb, sounds like Dad is doing well. If he started PT then he gets a pass from the walking. I know PT just wore my dad out.

Love you all, Sunny

Your friend’s home sounds wonderful. Glad you got to see them and their kids.

As for my Mom, yes, as it turns out, we ARE getting one of those beds that lowers to within inches of the floor. In the meantime. Her present bed is positioned low and there is a pad @ the side of the bed.

Dad did not walk today, but has been every time I am visiting. He needs to keep it up!

Meanwhile, he had the 1st day of his 2nd round of physical therapy. We’ll see how he progresses this time.

Happy you and a good time!

Hey All! Sorry to be MIA, but we had a great time with our friends and their kids. The kids have all shot up, and are in grades 4, 6, and 8. Got to see the eldest son playing an after season basketball match-up, and saw him score a basket. The middle daughter is involved in rehearsing for an upcoming school play, and enjoying it. The youngest son also plays BB, but didn't see him play. They have bought almost 50 acres, and have a beautiful stone farmhouse that dates back to the mid 1800s, and had a huge addition put on in the late 80s. It was open floor plan, and a ceiling in the family/great room that was two stories tall, with a walkway that spanned across from one side to the other. They have 2 cats, 2 chickens, and a puppy. The chickens are Abby and Betty, and roam the property freely. They are pretty social and are not afraid of people, although they wouldn't let you pet them. We spent Saturday just catching up after we got there from the game with a short walk to view the outbuildings, and wine by the fire-pit. We took a couple of outdoor games, and played them together, and just with the kids on Sunday. We had fresh eggs for breakfast yesterday, and got a tour in the pickup of the whole property. Lots of timber and open pasture, too. It was a really nice visit, and I hope we get to do it again soon. It was nice to get away for a change of scenery and all. We've been homebodies since DH retired as wanting to see how the money settles for a few months. Still tweaking the budget. . .

Barb, sorry about your mom's falls. It's good to read that you mom doesn't look too bad - sounds like my BFF's mom; she is falling a lot too. They now have her in a bed that can be lowered within inches of the floor. Saw my BFF on Friday for a brief time at her house, and she said her mom is so weak she can barely support herself now. Maybe they have something similar for your mom there? Yes, they also have a pad next to it on the floor as well. Hope you can get your dad moving too. I'm sure all of what's going on with your mom is exhausting him as well. Is he still doing PT?

Sunny, hope you had a nice lunch and visit with Joshua today, and that they'll be able to take him in March into the facility. It sounds like a good possibility for him. Fingers crossed!

Kelly, I'm sorry about your sleep troubles again. DH is having trouble resetting his routine. Wakes up around 1-3 AM, and sometimes can't get back to sleep until almost 5 or 6 AM.
His dad was the same way. I keep trying to encourage him to go to be an hour later. I hope you can get yourself squared away with some uninterrupted sleep. Do the four leggers play a part in your waking up?

Thiry, nice that the pants are needing some tailoring again to fit properly! Sorry about your DH interfering with your sorting. Hope it won't be as troublesome the second time around. . .

Well, off to get dinner on the table. Leftovers tonight. . .
emoticon to all!

Tuesday: Jason had yesterday off, so we were able to go out to supper. That was wonderful. A treat for the beginning of the work week.

Visited Mom and Dad. Mom was cantankerous, Ah well. Dad was pretty good.

No real answers about the falling. But a complete blood work up is going to be done. And another urinalysis. That will be good. One med change was made and I think that’s a good idea.

Cool and gray yesterday. Not cold, but not as warm as Sunday. Still . . . . for February, no complaints!

Looks like we may have filtered sun today! All for that.

Thiry: How annoying to hare to RE-SORT! That would have made me upset, too!

Kelly: Yup . . . . Dad is in a funk and he is harder than heck to get out of it! But we’ll try again today!

Glad you got more sleep. Awesome!

Rained overnight but now the sun is out. Hurray for that!

Sunny and Sharon: Hope it’s a good Tuesday!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y’all @ 3 pm.

Sunny, safe and great weather travels and it goes without saying...enjoy your visit with Josh. Hugs. 1 Mar won't get here soon enough, positive thoughts going his way.

Here's to Mom having a less ornery day today, actually I was smiling thinking the other day that maybe the fall triggered her spunky side because she was back to her smiley side! Sounds like Dad is in a bit of funk, oh my how to get him up and moving again on his own.

I'd say you were busy enough yesterday Thiry. Laughing, hubby and cat having the same habit. I think it's something most men do at one time or another or in his case, way too many times. The deer at your son's place and his in laws place are very comfortable around people, amazing sight.

Well, seems I caught up with the sleep fairy. Hooray! I'm notorious for four hours, and okay if it is a deep sleep but the past year it catches up with me quicker. Joys of getting old I guess. Talking about sorting, I thought I did a great job of putting tax stuff in one spot, wrong...missing a few deductions so into the hidden stash I will dive. (So you aren't sorting alone Thiry) I need to find every deduction I can, likely again won't make a difference but a gal can give it a try.

We are supposed to have had rain already but it is taking it's time getting here, hopefully it won't lead to inches. I really should get on out and grab some rays while I can. My oh my, Cali is getting pounded again, either feast or famine for them it seems. So will see ya lassies at 3 or so. Have a good one, Hugs and Prayers.

BARB – Oh, so good to hear that your parents are looking good. I’m glad that you got your dad for a walk even if it was a short one. Any walk is better than none. That was the most deer I have seen in one spot while at the recreation center. Before this the most I have seen at any one time was 5 & 7 at different times and individual ones throughout the park. Hopefully when you get to visit with the director after March 1st you will get some good news.

KELLY – I had actually dosed off and when I woke I realized I hadn’t posted what I had written so I did that and then got the final bedding from the dryer and headed to bed. Oh yes that dinner was so great. We always enjoy out time at the winery for the different activities they have there. There are all kinds of signs and the speed limit is only 25 mph in the recreation area. Of course the most important sign is the “no hunting” sign. I have seen p to 15 deer when I have been on my walks before but not all at the same place at the same time. Seeing a total of 28 deer last night was an amazing site. Sorry you are having trouble sleeping lately. Hopefully it will get resolved and you start getting a good nights sleep soon.

SHARON – safe travels and I’m sure you are having a great time with your friends and pseudo-grand-kids.

SUNNY – thank you. Yes the fracture has set me back a little but I am still going strong and getting back to the walking. In the last 10 days I have walked at the lake 5 times. Some walks longer than the others but the fact that my foot hasn’t been hurting is a really good sign. I am hoping to slowly increase the walking. That is such a nice story about the man at church. It was really nice of that man to go comfort the guy that was grieving. Safe travels on your trip to see Joshua. Have a wonderful visit although I know it will seem too short.

I have had a really busy day today even though I had the day off. I did sleep in a bit but after getting going I spent the day in the spare bedroom and finished altering another pair of pants, mated a bunch of DH’s odd socks then got a couple tubs out of the closet that had the stuff from the table when we lived in Norfolk. I was looking for a recipe for granola bites that I last remembered on the refrigerator before we moved. I did find the recipe and went through the 2 tubs. The one had cracked during the times I have moved it so I was able to get it empty and took it to the trash. I sorted a bunch of the other stuff, some of which I had sorted before but the cats have gotten on the table and knocked it down so I ended up going through some of that again. I had a bunch of stuff in different piles around the room when DH came in from work. I started moving things and putting the different piles and things in spots with other things that I didn’t want them with so I just shoved everything that was on the floor into a big pile towards the back of the room and walked out of the room. I went to the living room and sat on the couch to get myself calmed down as I was so angry that he felt the need to come into the room and start shoving the stuff I had spent the day sorting around so he could “sit at the computer”. I know if I had continued to look through and sort the stuff with him there he would have been asking a bunch of questions about everything as I was trying to go through it and I would have been even more upset and angry. Needless to say I am going to have to resort a bunch of the stuff again which is nothing new as between DH and the cats I do that a lot.

I didn’t get any exercise in today as when I got up this morning it was raining so I couldn’t go for a walk and by the time DH came in it was almost 6 and getting too late to walk at the lake and I didn’t take the time to drive to the gym at that point.

Well I need to get in the shower so I am ready to head to work in the morning.

Have a great week everyone.

Spunky....cute!

We are OK with the answers we got. I felt like he was giving us what he could and March 1st, hopefully, we can get an interview.

Have a good evening. I am off soon to Bible Study.

I may not be around much tomorrow. We are leaving around 8:30 to drive to Springfield to see Joshua and take him out to Lunch. He can have a 3-4 hour pass and he is looking forward to some Mexican Chow....

Take care. Sunny

Sunny: Well, I am sure a definitive answer would have been nice, but at least you can call him back on 01 March. That's not too far off. PRAYERS! Continue!

Yeah, like everyone else, ya have your good days and your not so good days. What can I say. Yesterday was a pretty good day for Mom but not for Dad. Today was a better day for Dad but Mom was completely ornery. Can't say she doesn't have spunk! LAWRD.

Just a quick note to let you all know what I found out. I talked to the director who is not going to be around tomorrow so won't be able to get an interview tomorrow. He did say to call him back the first of March and he would set up an interview as they are going to have some openings soon. I was encouraged and know that some things just take time. Praying for the best outcome on this. If it is to be, it will happen.

So glad Mom and Dad were doing well. They are going to have days they don't seem to have as much energy. Hope another day, he will be able to walk a little longer.

Keep us posted on what the doc says.

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families, and our country. The left is sure trying their best to make Trump miserable. God Bless him!! We must pray for him.

Monday – Gorgeous day outside. We visited Mom and Dad they both looked pretty good. Mom was in no pain. The bump above her left eye was decreased. The bruising will be there for a long while. But looked better. She was talking and responding within her capabilities. Eating well. So now it’s just waiting for a call back today from the Dr. to scope out what’s going on.

Dad is really tired. Did get him walked, but didn’t make it very far. That’s all right. I think with another good night sleep under his belt, he’ll do better tomorrow.

Thiry: Wow! That’s a lot of deer! They’re out here, too, but not like that!

Kelly: Wow. You’re sure earlier than I! 4 am is early enough!!!!!!!

Sunny: Hope all went well and there’s a slot for Joshua. Prayers!!!

Awwww, so good that there was so much support for your friend Ron. **SIGH**

Sharon: Hope you’re having a good time!

HUGS and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y’all @ 3

Thanks so much Kelly for the good thoughts about the appointment. I will call them later this morning. Praying that if it is God's will, they will have an opening. I hate it that you are not sleeping well. I take melatonin 5 mg at night and that is helping.

So proud of you Thiry. I know the fracture set you back but hopefully it is healing and you can proceed. The dinner sounded great. So glad you made it to Church also.

Our friend at Church who just lost his wife in December in a Motor Vehicle Accident just lost it yesterday after the special music, "Because He Lives". A man who sits a couple of pews behind him got up and went up to Ron and put his arms around him. Rich and I both just lost it then. PTL for compassionate people who are there as "God with skin on". It is so difficult but inspired me to think about a new Ministry for Widows/Widowers which is much needed in our church. Praying on this now asking God's will about it.

Barb, I will be thinking about you and your Mom as you all try to figure out what is causing the falls.

Sharon, travel safely and have a good time.

I am off to the sun room and to the bike.

Hugs to all....do have a Marvelous Monday!!

Thiry!!! Still up at that hour?

Meant to mention too that that dinner sounded like so much deliciousness and fun and good for you treating yourself to an extra treat or so. I would say since folks are really starting to notice, in spite of the foot bobo your body is changing for the best and you are having a huge NSV so celebrate that instead.

Oh wow, a colony of deer at the lake. I hope they have deer caution signs all over the place! Here they still have their winter colors so it is hard to see them at times. What an amazing sight!

Sunny, I have everything possible crossed that you all get an appointment tomorrow. Along with prayers for Joshua's continued success.

Hopefully your Mom had an uneventful night Barb. And that you had one as well, you sure had a week from h didn't you?

Safe travels Sharon.

Well, up at the butt crack of dawn again...at least this morning I slept until 3, let's see, 1:30 Saturday morning, 2 yesterday morn, 3 today...maybe I'm getting back on track. I'm thinking about taking a supplement again, I'll have to talk to the chiro's office what I took awhile back. It just helps to reset your system or something like that, all I know is, it helped me tremendously. It's not a med, a whole food supplement from Standard Process.

Have a great day, hope the weather is nice where you are. I'm sure winter will make a return visit. Feel sorry for CA. Son was in Bahston last week, wasn't sad that he was only visiting since they had snow. Hugs and Prayers, see you at 3 for tea.

Kelly

BARB – Sorry you had such a rough day yesterday and hoping that you are able to figure out what is going on and why your mom is falling. Good to hear that she wasn’t injured with the 2 additional falls. Hopefully you will hear back from the doctor soon and get an answer on what is going on with your mom’s vitals. Yes, a busy day yesterday but it was productive and it felt good to get those things taken care of then relax at the dinner at the winery.

KELLY – yes it is very nice to have people noticing the changes. Oh I plan to move on a regular basis at work but not going to say anything to anyone, just keep moving so it can’t be said that I am doing something I’m not doing.

SHARON – Hope you had a good day.

SUNNY – Thanks, yes it is nice when people are noticing and commenting. Since 2/25/16 I am wavering between 40-43 pounds off. I had hoped to have more by now but the stress fracture put a big monkey wrench in that. I’m hoping that I start getting more off again since I am able to do some walking again. Yes the way clothes are fitting makes a big difference also. The pants I wore to church this morning are going to have to go into the sewing pile as they are getting really loose. Congratulations on the 10 pounds you have taken off. Good to hear that you are getting back to church. Yes, taking the nice weather while I can. I was walking at the lake this afternoon and talked with a lady who said that next weekend snow is predicted for you area. I hadn’t heard that but came home and checked the forecast and yes next weekend has rain and snow in the forecast. I’m hoping that things go well for the arrangements for Joshua. Hope you had a good ride on the bike today.

Oh my what a day. I woke up and looked at the clock and read 8:30 so I was upset that I had slept late again missing church. I snuggled with Storm (my cat) and looked at the clock again realizing that it was only 6:30 not 8:30 so I got up and began getting ready to go to church. After church DH and I walked around Costco so he could look at the place and see what it is like. WE then came home and I fixed lunch for us and DH and I watched a couple shows that we both like. Around 4:30 I got ready and went to the lake to walk. When I was about 2/3 of the way through my walk I saw 4 deer in the trees to my left. I walked slowly and got a couple pictures of them then also caught pictures of 2 of them running across the sidewalk behind me. After I got to the car and started driving out of the park I stopped as there were 3 deer trying to cross the road. As I continued to drive towards the exit I stopped again as a couple deer were crossing the road and then I saw 3 more off to my left. I then started driving again and as I was looking around as I slowly drove towards the exit I saw an area where there were up to 16 deer. I stopped and took a few pictures then drove to the building near the exit, parked the car and walked to the area where the deer were. I struck up a conversation with a lady walking her dog and she told me that she had counted 16 deer in the field where I was taking pictures from the car. It was a really fun and interesting evening at the lake tonight. I also washed the bedding today as I didn’t get that done last weekend.

Have a great week everyone. I definitely will have my red on.

I know all of this with your Mom has got to be a huge concern. Hope you all can get to the bottom of the problem and she doesn't have any more falls.

Thanks a million, Kelly, happy on both fronts.

Home now but hitting the bike shortly.

I do hope everyone has a very lovely day. This February is like no other February I have know. Someone ask if March was going to "bite us" and I am sure it will. Enjoying it while it lasts.

Got a note from Joshua earlier via Messenger. We are going to see him on Tuesday and will try to get an appointment with the Spring Street Veterans Renaissance. It is a house in Springfield for Vets who are homeless and or have Alcohol/drug issues or PTSD. Joshua found out about the house from a Navy Vet whom he met at an AA meeting.

https://youtu.be/xhUdOfFtsjo

I am going to call them Monday to see if we can talk to them on Tuesday about getting Joshua admitted there when he is finished at ARC.

I will keep you posted about this. I do know it is a 2 year program and they encourage work or school.

Best head to the Bike or I am not going to get it done today.

Love you all, Sunny

Sunday – well not exactly the Saturday I’d planned. I got 2 calls that Mom had slid out of her chair and then had a fall in the bathroom. She wasn’t injured, but I sped over there. Mom was in bed resting when I got there. I checked her out and she had no new injuries. Her bruising from yesterday was intensified, but I expected that.

So, I looked @ the trend and both her pulse and her blood pressure are going down just a little. Ordinarily not a bad thing, but I wonder if she’s having mini-TIA’s or if her blood pressure is tanking from her atrial fibrillation. I don’t know. Have a call into the Dr. Meantime no more calls since we got home so that’s a good thing.

I am just trying to stay calm, but the inner me is releasing primal screams!

Thiry: You had a busy day! And yes, weight does re-distribute! And the muscles get leaner.

Sunny: Yeah, 10#’s released!

Have a great Sunday!

Kelly: Oh, Mighty Mouth had a very busy day yesterday. So many possibilities, but the main point at this time is keeping her safe.

Sharon: Travel safely!!!

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y’all @ 3.

AGeez Barb, I'm sure you have already taken your Mrs. Mighty Might stance for answers as to why the sudden loss of balance or coordination and what can be done about it? I pray Mom (and Dad) had a better night last night.

That is a great booster Thiry to have folks notice the new improving Thiry! I'm thinking, drop by whoever got your sleeping report, and say just so you know, I will be mobile around my desk about every 30 just to keep the ladies guessing as to what I'm up to. Get up, stretch do some isometrics, or just stand there and smile.

I can hear the joy in your voice getting back to church Sunny! And that you dropped those 10!!!

Enjoy your little bonus grands Sharon, hope you have great travel weather. I am sure you are amazed at how they have grown.

Weather here yesterday cleared early afternoon, it's chilly with a bit of sun today. Going to a charity thing at the Mansion this afternoon that's about all the excitement around here.

Hugs and Prayers for our brave Warriors and our Republic. See ya for tea at 3!

That is awesome, Thiry, when people who know you start commenting on the weight loss. Way to goo. How much have you lost? As of today, I have just lost 10#'s but it already makes a difference in how my clothes are fitting and in how I feel. I am shooting for another pound next week. I would be happy with that.

I need to get going. Back to Church today. yea...

Hugs to you all, Sunny

BARB – I’m glad to hear that you are feeling better. Sorry to hear that your mom had a bad time during her shower the other day. Oh, so sorry to hear that she had fallen but good to hear that there are no fractures. The black eye will eventually heal. Oh my 2 more falls. That doesn’t sound good. Hopefully things will improve for your mom. Good to hear that nothing is broken with the new falls. Hopefully tomorrow will be much more calm for you and hopefully you won’t get any more calls about your mom falling.

KELLY – thanks, so far it has been a really good weekend. Oh, thinking of my wine adventures? Tonight DH and I went to the winery for the “wine, chocolate and Roses” dinner. It was absolutely fabulous.

SHARON – Oh yes I will be watching my back and definitely keeping my eyes wide open while at work. If I have to I will get up and walk around every 30 minutes or so just to show that I am not “sleeping”. DH is doing well. He is getting frustrated at work but that is nothing new. We got a lead on a possible job last night so he is getting that application going. This possible job would be at least $1.50/hour more than what he is making now and would only be a little over a mile from where we currently live compared to about 5 that he is currently driving. Enjoy your visit with the pseudo-grand-kids. I’m sure it will be a fun time.

SUNNY – Sorry to hear about your friend passing away. Yes I will definitely enjoy the time away from the crap going on at the office while I am in San Diego in April. Yes, I understand that when you are biking that it is not outside. The farm to table restaurant sounds wonderful and I am assuming they have great food there. As far as I know we don’t have any of these around here as I haven’t heard of any. I hope you enjoy your time with your sis.

OMG, DH and I just got home from the “Wine, Chocolate and roses” dinner at the winery tonight. It was a French 3 course meal with a bottle of wine. It started with a lettuce salad that was delicious (I normally don’t eat salads as I don’t care for the dressings) then we were served stuffed chicken with green beans (didn’t care for them as they were “rubbery”) and new potatoes. Dessert was dessert bar with a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, mini cream puffs, strawberries and pretzels to “dip” in the fountain. They also had mini truffles, and several other things that I don’t know what they were but OMG they were delicious. I told the gal who we found out tonight is the manager that if they had extras from the dessert bar I would take them home with me. A little later she brought me a to go container for some desserts. I went to the dessert bar and put some of the desserts in the container and took it to our table. I plan to take some of these goodies to work and sit them on my desk for everyone to see since they don’t think that I can have chocolate since I am trying to lose weight. We figure that we didn’t attend this meal last year as I was probably working my part time job. We have decided that next year we will definitely be attending this meal again. As we were leaving we were told to stop by the table and pick up a rose, so between the 2 of us we came home with 2 roses. So between the dozen delivered to the office on Tuesday, the 3 I got at the gym last week and the 2 we just brought home tonight I have quite a few roses here right now.

I ran a few errands today then stopped by the storage unit to get the half barrels that we got at Hy-Vee last fall and the potting soil that we put in there last fall as I had purchased it and didn’t need it at the time. I took them home and repotted the roses that I had put into another half barrel last fall and added the ones that we purchased at Wal-Mart for a discounted rate after Valentine’s Day.

I forgot to tell you that the other night when I was at Wal-Mart picking up a few things I had stopped by the pharmacy to get the prescription for DH that I had called in on Sunday, while getting the meds the gal that was helping me looked at me and said, “oh my you have lost weight, I didn’t recognize you”. Then yesterday I stopped by the chiropractor’s office after work and she commented on how good I looked and that she thought I had lost weight since my last visit. I told her I hadn’t lost anything and then she said that maybe it was a different distribution of weight since then. Well I think I am going to head to bed as I need to be at church by 7:30 in the morning to prepare for singing at the 8 am service.

Have a great Sunday everyone. I definitely will have my red on.

Saturday – Well yesterday was definitely not a good day. Mom fell out of bed. No concussion or fractures, does have a urinary tract infection. She has a huge bump over her left eye and it’s black and blue.

Just hoping that today has no disasters! Lawrd!

Scratch that one. Just got call #2 now that Mom fell out of her chair last night and this morning apparently fell in the bathroom. No injuries, though.

Sunny: Yes, had to walk thru fire it seems, but will have a pad on the floor by Mom’s bed. The bed is pushed against the wall, so that’s the only way she can get out. I am also going to get this bed rail that slips under the matteress on Monday. Had to walk thru fire for that one, too, dang it. They said “it will restrain her from getting out of bed.” DAMNED RIGHT it will because she should not be getting out of bed on her own!!!!!

Her forehead and eye are very black. It will be a long time before it returns to anything resembling normal. *SIGH**

Glad you’ll have a visit from your sister!

Kelly: I actually also bought 3 non-slip bath mats today. One is going on her bed, one on the chair she sits in and one in front of her sink. Hoping this prevents slippery skids.

Sounds like an awesome time! What are the odds that that person would know the same priest you did!

I am just wiped out, so may do 3’oclock a little later and then retire!

Sharon: YOUR BLOG WAS FABULOUS

Stopped by late last night but knew if I started a chat I'd go beyond tired and would be up even longer than I needed to be.

My heart nearly jumped out when I read about your Mom, thankfully (right choice of words?) she is banged up only. Did she try to go over the bed rail or slip her way down to the side of the bed? They had non slip padded runners with non trip edges where John was so I hope they do that for your mom. And that she had a comfortable night.

Sharon have a great visit, seems like it wasn't that long ago they moved...can't wait to hear all about it. Lordy be, best wishes for your friend and her mom. It is good to hear she is at least sleeping at home now.

Agreed that it is wonderful to have our Sunny back to feeling great, just don't over do it! I think being able to get out and about is great for the soul. Enjoy your visit with your Sis, will she be there all week end so you two can get some mischief time in?

Have a great week end Thiry. I was thinking of your wine adventures the other night.

Dank and very wet today, bummer because the past few days were perfect. Had our monthly feed in at the Marriott this morning. The blintz were overstuffed, so now I am. Was going to meet up with the group that is out rehabing areas for our poor chained outside only dogs but decided I just don't want to - now if I could get rid of the guilty feeling.

Out with some friends last night, we were sitting at a high top communal table; got ready to leave (mostly because everyone had more interest in their fones), went to push back my stool using my foot on the bottom middle rail and the table moved! Yikes, the poor guy (not part of the group) laughed said something, laughed back said something like I'm old, can do what I want; all I can do is apologize. The gal next to me said I'm from the north east! I said New London, Susan yells Bahston, the guy that started it says Brooklyn, I said hubby's family lives in Rockland County. Northeaster says, get out of here...my cousin is a Priest in Rockland. She pulls out her phone, pulls him up sure enough I recognize him - that is where my brother and sister in law go and he married their son in August. The guy who started it also said he just retired from 30 yrs in the Army and said "don't see many RED shirts" (I had the one with the logo etc on), showed him the back. Anyway it was a fun ending to a mostly fun evening. Plus as I was leaving folks that were waiting for seats, got a handshake, a salute and a thank you as I was heading out the door. I usually don't get positive reactions from that shirt, last time was awhile back.

Well hope all is well weather wise where you are, safe visits and travels and hope your banged up Mom is fairly comfy. What a week you have had. You deserve a special 3 o'clock!

Oh!!! Sharon luved your Friday Lunacy, read it last night.

Oh mercy, Barb. Bless her heart. I so worry about falls in Nursing Homes. She may even look more bruised before she looks better. Will they let you put a mattress or pad on the floor? I know the home where we had Dad wouldn't let them have anything on the floor. Let me know. I will be praying for her. What a scare is right.

Our Farm to Table is a little more expensive than other restaurants but the quality is so much better plus you have a nice selection.

I am off to the sun room and the bike. Sis is coming to do my eyebrows today. I look a little bushy.

Our Sunday School Social was very nice last night and it was good to get out with our friends.

Do have a Super Saturday, Team and I will stop by later.

No fractures, spinal injuries or concussion. Does have a UTI (which I kinda suspected) and a HUGE lump on her forehead and is sporting a very black eye. That is going to be hanging around for a while.

Have her bed moved against the wall now, and am getting a mattress or pad for the floor.

Lord, what a scare.

Travel safely!

Hey all! Well, my late night posting is not here from last night. . .
OMG, Barb, I'm so sorry about your mom!!! I hope everything is okay when they finish checking her out. Sounds just like my BFF's mom when she fell out of be not to long ago . . .Will keep her in my prayers.

Speaking of that I went to visit her, my BFF, briefly today. She is back to being with her mom anywhere from 8-12 hours a day, but comes home to sleep. She's pretty sure her mom has had a couple of mini strokes, although the staff thinks she is nuts. She says she's noticed the right eye, and a couple of other factors. She says her mom is so weak she can no longer support herself.

Sorry you are still feeling under the weather, Barb, . . . better make some garlic soup!

Sunny you sound much better, and like you have more energy and that is a good thing to read! Glad you were able to stave off your feeling of oncoming cold! That restaurant(s) sound good, but we don't go to any in our area as they are so expensive here. I can just picture Rich and the loaf of bread. I saw the last one on FB not too long ago!

Thiry, I'd keep your eyes and ears wide open at work. How's your DH doing?

Well, heading out tomorrow for a couple of days to visit our old neighbors with the 3 kids who we adopted as pseudo-grand-kids. It's been about a year and a half since they've been gone, and I can't even imagine how big they are now. Makes me kinda sad because they were all little cuties, and the youngest was just 6 months old when they moved in! So will probably be MIA except for brief drive-byes.

Have a good weekend all, and I send you all big virtual hugs!!!!

Oh, at least I was still part of the human race, which is a good thing considering I had to go to the hospital ER as Mom had fallen. And believe me. . . . there were TONS of coughing, hacking, puking people. GREAT! Not.

Anyhow, feeling better and hope to get to bed early today.

So sorry to hear about your friend. My condolences.

And I can smell that bread from here!

HUGS

Hi Team...

Doggone it Barb, I was so hoping you would feel better by now.

My cold didn't really develop as I was on it with extra Vit C, Echinacea, fluids and rest. Awesome! I was so thrilled.

Got some very upsetting news this morning. A friend of ours from NC passed away after a very brief battle with cancer. He had just finished his first week of radiation and Chemo when he became septic and passed away in ICU. ugh... I do feel so bad for his wife as she is alone in NC so praying their Church Family steps up to help her. Praying she is not alone during this time. Unfortunately, she just lost her only daughter to cancer 6 months ago.

Thiry, good for you to get out of Dodge and away from the drama for a while. BTW, I do not bike outside although I would love to do that today as we are in the mid 70's. Oh my, in February - that is just amazing. We live on a very busy country road and it would not be safe to bike on the road. I biked in the sun room with the blinds and windows open today. It was wonderful!

We met DH's cousins in Quincy for lunch at our favorite Farm to Table Restaurant. It is the first time we had been there since they moved. As we passed by their old location, I noticed another restaurant has already moved in and it is Farm to Table also. It's name is Thrive so will have to check that out soon

We came home and DH made a loaf of bread for his Aunt and Uncle and we will run that over to them before we head back into Quincy for our Sunday School Social.

I do hope you all have a wonderful Friday. See you all tomorrow.

Hugs, Sunny

Friday – Well, back to the human race. Still tired, but that I can deal with. Will probably visit Mom and Dad today. Apparently Mom had a shower yesterday and she screamed bloody murder. UGH

Dang it all. Got a call @ 2:30 am. Mom fell out of bed and hit her head. At hospital right now. CT scan of head and spine ok. Checking for urinary tract infection. Her left eye is black and blue and she has a huge bump over the eye. No fracture, though. Going to be a long day. **SIGH*

Hugs and back later when I know anything more. Probably Mom will be transferred back to the facility.

Thiry: OMG, that is true. I hadn’t thought of it, but it definitely wouldn’t be normal to watch a co-worker sleep for ½ hr. and if there was snoring or not, that wouldn’t be my approach either. I’d wake ‘em up to make sure they were all right!

At least today I entered the land of the humanoids, but only to spend most of the morning in hospital w/Mom after a fall around 2:30 am.

Sunny, Sharon, Kelly: Hope all is well.

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

No 3 pm for me, but probably w/supper will have sumthin-sumthin. Right now I’d just fall flat asleep.

BARB – Sorry to hear that you still aren’t feeling well. Thanks, I am glad of the Fitbit records also. It sure came in handy at the right time that’s for sure. I hope you were able to get at least a short visit in with your parents today.

KELLY - yes hubbies do. I don’t think the worker has been talked to and I found out today that she has talked to others about my “sleeping at my desk”. Oh yes I will be going on the trip to San Diego leaving 4/17/17 and returning 4/21/17. No office crap and all expenses on the company.

SHARON – Sorry your neck and upper back are acting up. Hopefully you will feel better in the morning. Thanks, I really liked the way the flower delivery went on Valentine’s Day. It was even more special that the Payroll clerk (the Twit as I have called her) was the one who got to direct the delivery to my desk. The trip to San Diego will be nice as all expenses will be on the company including almost $30000 for my meals/incidentals for the time I am there and I won’t be in the office dealing with the crap that is going on there now. I’m so glad to hear that your headache is gone. Yes, hearing the words “working out too hard” is definitely something you don’t expect to come out of a person’s mouth. Well we will have to see what if anything comes from the situation with the “snitch”. Nothing new on the bathtub situation as of right now.

SUNNY – I hope you had a rood ride on the bike. Thanks for your positive support it is always appreciated. We are having lots of sunshine here also as today we were supposed to break our record high. I haven’t heard if that actually happened but I do know that we were very close when I was driving home from work. Good job on the bike ride. I hope you are able to ward off that cold that you think you are getting. Avoiding any/all sick people right now is a really good plan. Hopefully it worked for you.

I had an interesting day at the office today. A coworker, the gal that trained me when I started and she also came to the hospital and bought me supper one night while DH was there for his surgery, came to me and started talking. She was talking about taking care of her ex-husband and also her daughter who tried to commit suicide again. She informed me that she was told that she needed to decide between taking care of her family and her job. During the conversation I told her that I felt I was the next one on the list to be let go and she said no that would be me since she was given the ultimatum of her family or the job. I mentioned the talk of my “sleeping at my desk” and she said she had heard. Needless to say that makes me wonder who else has been told this story besides this coworker, my supervisor and the CEO. Anyway she was talking about how hard it’s become taking care of her ex and the kids not wanting her to put him in a nursing home. He has many medical problems including several strokes, falling, and loss of control of bladder and bowls. I listened and offered a few suggestions. She left and went to her office but came back to me a little while later startling me as I was concentrating on calculating hours on my calendars. She showed me a message from the doctor’s office and asked my opinion on the message. I told her what I thought it meant. She then went back to work but a little later she came back as she had just gotten off the phone with the state worker who has informed her that she, the state worker, is looking for a home to place my coworkers ex and said she was really surprised that with his chronic condition they were still taking care of him at home. At this point I could see and hear the relief in her voice and posture. I don’t remember what I asked but she said she forgot to ask that and wished she would have had me in the office with her during the conversation. I was glad that she felt she could come to me and talk this morning and glad that I was able to give her some much needed support. We will have to watch each other’s backs while at work.

I have thought a little more about the fact that the “snitch” thinks I was sleeping at my desk. When I was tested and diagnosed with sleep apnea I was told that I quit breathing 76 times an hour so if I was asleep at my desk for 30 minutes the one day she said I was why would she stand there watching me when I would have been snoring and most likely would have stopped breathing numerous times, gasping for air to breathe again? Wouldn’t a person think that she or anyone else in the office would have been reacting to that instead of watching it happen for half an hour? When I was confronted about this Tuesday the sleep apnea didn’t come to mind to bring that stuff up. I wish I would have as that would have added to the Fitbit records. Needless to say if anything is said again it will be brought up in the conversation as i will ask how many times I quit breathing while I was being watched sleeping?

Well I need to get a shower so I can head to bed in a little while.

Have a great Friday everyone. I definitely will have my red on.
Thiry

Agree Sunny, idle hands creates too much meyhem. Too bad they can't use his Army skills. All in all, happy to hear he is doing well (I think he'll be great at the front desk) Of course, take all the precautions you need or want to stay ahead of this crud going around. Can you tolerate pineapple, that is becoming a go to for whatever ails ya.

Yippee that your fever broke, hope the rest of the day went well and you got a visit in with your folks Barb.

You crack me up Sharon, overdoing the fitness routine, you are always on the move it seems. What have you added that may have done you in? Hope all is better for you too.

It was really really nice today, chilly but sunny, not sure what is in store the rest of the week.

I made the first of the HelloFresh meals. What I paid for it it (coupon) was a good deal but don't think I'll make it a weekly habit at 60 bucks for 6 meals. Granted that is what you'd likely pay around here in some local restaurants, but just not feeling it. The food is very fresh and portions big, I have not only one more meal (which I knew I would) but extra sides. Anyone needing to really get control of their portions might benefit for a few meals just to get them in the right mindset. I'll use them again but not a standing date.

See ya tomorrow, everyone have a deep sleep, I think it'll be an early night (attempt) for me.
Hugs

Kelly

Thursday – Still under the weather but feeling better a bit now that the fever has broken. Had to dorp off some things @ the care facility for Mom and Dad but did not visit. Just don’t want to take that chance.

Sunny and cold yesterday, but it is supposed to warm up. We shall see.

HUGS

Thiry: OH so sorry about what happened @ work. **SIGH** At least you had your FitBit log to back up the fact you were NOT sleeping!

Sharon: sorry to hear about your neck and upper back pain. AND headache **SIGH** Hope things are improving for you.

I am going to see Mom and Dad today. I have talked w/Dad by phone but that is always a very brief conversation. He’s not a “phone person.”

Kelly: Doing better today. At least I fit into the human category. That’s a step in the right direction. I have been eating chicken soup like it’s going out style. Tonight I may try garlic soup, but tummy wouldn’t have been happy w/that before!

Glad that you have a quiet day!

Sunny: So glad to hear Joshua (and the others) have to work. Good for the mind and soul.

You’re right. Walking in ANY place with a # of people is like walking into a petri dish right now. UGH

Hugs and prayers for our soldiers, families and our country.

See y’all around 3

I am loving all of the sun shine we are having this week. I managed to bike 55 minutes & 7 miles while reading and I feel pretty good in spite of what seems like a cold coming on.

I have tried to avoid everyone with cold symptoms but going to the clinic is like walking in a "petri dish". Ugh...

I am drinking lots of water and have upped the Vit C and OJ. I refuse to have this get me down.

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better, Sharon.

Barb, how are you today?

Kelly, what's up your way?

Have a sunny day ladies....

Hugs, Sunny

Good Morning. Up and about; been laying low and doing a little sparking while sipping my coffee. Headache is gone, and hope it stays that way. Think I may have aggravated things by working out too hard. Never thought I'd hear that come out of my mouth!

Hope you are feeling better this morning, Barb. Have you not seen your parents all week?

Kelly, glad things are quiet and less hectic for you, too.

Sunny, hope you have a good day today.

Thiry, I think your boss may finally have "the snitch's" number! How's the bathtub/plumbing issue coming along?

Have a good one ladies!

Sharon. I do hope today finds you and Barb both feeling better. ugh....How about a round of Garlic Soup for everyone. Sounds like it might well do the trick.

Off to the sun room and to the bike. I am teach Bible Study next Monday so will work on that today also.

Way to go, Thiry, on the fit bit recordings and how nice that you will go to the conference in California. Keep up the good work!

Yes, Kelly, all the guys at the center have to work. Joshua was working in the resale shop folding linens. He just got this new job at the front desk last week. The center believe idol hands lead to trouble so they keep them busy.

Take care and see you all later. I am off to my bike.

Hugs, Sunny

Hope you are feeling better this morning Sharon. Maybe a batch of garlic soup will help???

Speaking of garlic soup, how are you Barb?

That was so cool Thiry, hubbys sometimes do the darndest things don't they? I would hope they had a talk with that worker to stop wasting their time with misjudgements, quite frankly how productive is she if that is what she's doing, watching others. But hey, take the SanDog trip,

That's good news that Joshua is working and keeping himself occupied. You got me to thinking, can't remember the last time I had scallops, that'll go on the menu this week.

This crazy site - check the thread and it is most times way behind and not keeping up with you all so I missed the chatter yesterday.

Another quiet day around here so likely will see you lassies at 3. Have a good one!

Kelly

Hey all, late drive-by before bed. My neck and upper back have been acting up again the past week, and today was bad with a non-stop headache all day and still going strong.

Sorry you still have the crud, Barb. Garlic soup will knock it out for sure!

Thiry, nice story about the flowers and the card for DH. Sorry that one gal still seems to be trying to get you in trouble. A week in San Diego sounds nice! emoticon

Sunny, so glad you got to talk with Joshua, and your dinner sounded good. Hope you enjoyed it.

Sorry this is so short and sweet but wanted to post something.
Hugs to all!

BARB – thanks, yes I totally agree that the card is very true. LOL Hope you get to feeling better soon.

KELLY & SHARON – Hope you both had a good day.

SUNNY – Thanks, yes we both liked the card also. DH laughed when he read it. We go between Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart for our groceries. Glad to hear that you got a chance to talk to Joshua and hoping for a good meeting with him on Tuesday. Enjoy the time and lunch.

Well I’m feeling a bit anxious and confused tonight. Today at work my DOF called me into his office to talk to me about the report he received from the Huma Resources director (the employee that gives candy to everyone but me) yesterday. She told him that I was sleeping at my desk and I guess she also went to the CEO with this report I guess she also told him that I slept at my desk for 30 minutes a couple weeks ago. I looked at him and told him if I was asleep my fitbit would have recorded it so I pulled my phone out and opened up the Fitbit app then went to the place where it shows my sleep log. I looked at it and turned it toward him showing him the list of my sleep over the last few days. I said, “do you see any sleep logged for yesterday afternoon?” He looked at it and agreed that it hadn’t logged me sleeping (one of the main reasons I purchased this fitbit). I did tell him that the work I was doing yesterday was very tiring, looking through 673 account to make sure that all the boxes necessary for the food records, making sure that all have clock in/out times and that they all are correct for AM/PM. Needless to say this is very monotonous and tiring. He then said that if I need to stop and walk around or go out to a hall seating area to close/rest my eyes so that it doesn’t look like I am sleeping at my desk. After talking with him I was almost afraid to even blink for fear of being accused of sleeping at my desk. Later in the day I received an email from one of the staff in Lincoln asking about getting approval for the conference in San Diego so I went to the DOR to ask him about it. I also asked if the conference was still a possibility as today was the last day for the discounted rate for the conference. He said yes it was and he worked up a request for travel expenses and had me sign it. He also registered me for the conference. So it looks like I will be in San Diego for a week just after Easter. I am confused as I almost feel that I will be the next one to be let go with all the changes that they are doing right now but yet why would they spend about $2,000 on this conference if they are planning to let me go.

After work I headed to the store to pick up the couple things that I forgot last night then went to the lake and walked from my car across the dam and back for a total of a little more than a mile. Then came home ate leftovers for supper before heading to choir practice.

Have a great week everyone.
Thiry

Talked with Joshua via Messenger today. He had been to a meeting and went by the Library before going back to the center. He is working the front desk now and works from 4 - 12.

We are going to see him on Tuesday and take him out to lunch.

I hope you are feeling better soon, Barb.

Have a good evening. see you all tomorrow!
