Thursday!! YAY!!

I've been struggling to get up and out of bed this week - every morning for the past three days, I've wanted to call in to work. I haven't though. I've been responsible and gone in to the office and done what needs to be done. I'm proud of myself for that.

Yesterday, I got all of my water in, tracked my food, got in a bunch of strength training, AND got on the exercise bike for 30 minutes! That felt good.

Today looks good - Oh! I saw some beautiful trees on the way in to work today. The moisture in the air near the lake had frozen on the tree branches overnight making the branches look like long white fingers sparkling in the sunlight. It was VERY cool.

I'm on my second glass of water, I'm tracking my food, and I remembered to bring my lunch today. The sun is shining into my office and it feels great. If I was a cat, I'd be taking a nap right about now. :)

Obstacles: McD's for dinner tonight - I'll choose wisely!

What's new in your corner of the world?

Take care,

Kelli

Happy Woohoo Wednesday!!

How are you doing today?

Yesterday, I got all of my water in, tracked my food, and got in a bunch of strength training. The kids and I played Wii for a bit last night, too. That was fun!

Today started off to be one of "those" days - an earthquake woke me at 4am - AN EARTHQUAKE! In Northern, IL! Crazy! I was so hoping for a snow day today - after listening to the wind blowing all that snow around outside, I wanted nothing more than to be able to hide under the covers. Sadly, it was not meant to be, although I considered calling my own snow day for the kids and I. Instead, I got up, got dressed and made it in to work. The van's windshield wipers were frozen and hardly working, MiPod konked out on me four times on the way to work, and I forgot my lunch. Ugh. I'm NOT giving up, though! I'm still working on my streaks!

Obstacles: THIS MORNING - If I can overcome that, the rest of the day will be a breeze. ;)

What's new in your corner of the world?

Take care,

Kelli

Hey there Sparkies! How are you doing today? Is it snowing where you are?

Yesterday, I got most of my water in, tracked my food, and got in a bit of strength training. Boy was I tired yesterday! Even though I was feeling a bit better by the afternoon, I still couldn't wait to get home last night.

Today I'm still a bit tired, but I'll live. :) I'm still working on my streaks!

Obstacles: Snow. Lots of steadily falling snow makes me feel like I want to curl up with a book and a blankie and some hot cocoa.

Tomorrow will be better.

What's new in your world?

Take care,

Kelli

Hello Sparkies - I'm counting on my daily dose of SparkPeople here to energize me today.

Yesterday, I got most of my water in, tracked my food, and got some things done around the house. Other than that, I didn't do much of anything in the way of exercising. I watched some of the SuperBowl with Hubby last night after the kids were in bed, (mostly reading in between commercial breaks) then watched "Undercover Boss" because it seemed interesting. I went to bed late, then couldn't fall asleep. I woke up several times in the night, and has some weird dreams in between.

Today I was awake in time to hear the newspaper delivered. I'm so. very. tired.
I'm trying to overcome it, though. I've done a little strength training this morning, and have been tracking my food and drinking my water. I've even completed one "office lap" in an effort to wake up a bit.

Obstacles: Tired. And whiney. whine whine whine

Tomorrow will be better.

What's new in your world? How are you doing today? Did you watch the game last night?

Take care,

Kelli

Hello Sparkies... I'm just not feeling very sparkly today.

Yesterday, I walked for about 25 minutes (at the grocery store) and did a lot of cleaning out the "little spaces" at home, went through all the mail, paperwork and paid some bills. I cleaned out the cabinet above my desk in the kitchen, and washed and folded all the laundry. I did poorly with my food, too.

Today isn't much better with exercise and food. I did some vacuuming and straightening around the house. After lunch, I napped for a bit. I caught up on my Spark emails, and I'm still planning on setting my goals for the week.

Hello Sparkies!!

Yesterday, I got most of my water in, tracked my food, and got in my strength training. I also ate too much bad stuff. The end.

Today is a different day. A New Day.
So far, I've drank 5 glasses of water, logged my food (even the overloaded-carbs breakfast I consumed) and am eating my soup for lunch. Half my scheduled strength training is done for the day and I'm doing well. Dinner will be something light. VERY light.

Obstacles: Just me.

What's new in your world? How are you doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

Good morning Sparkies!!

Yesterday, I got all my water in, tracked my food, and got in my strength training. I haven't been on the exercise bike for too long. I'll get back on it Friday and over the weekend, for sure.

Today, I've got some good tuneage thrummin in my ear and a list of things to work on. The sun is still MIA here, and I'm considering going for some "light therapy" at the local tanning booth. I'm in a good place today, and I think that will give me a little boost. It couldn't hurt, right? If nothing else, I get a nice little 20 minute nap in. :)

I'm already on my second glass of water and have most of my food for today logged already.

Obstacles: Tonight we'll be going to a fundraiser at Colonial Cafe for my SIL's Avon Cancer Walk in June. (If you're around Aurora, IL tonight, let me know, I'll send you the address) I'll have to look at the menu online before we go to see what my "healthier" options are.

What's new in your world? How are you doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

Wednesday already! YAY!

Yesterday, I got (almost all) my water in, tracked my food, and got in my strength training. I've been doing a little less snacking, and have been consistent with my strength training streak. I've also started trying to get a full 7 hours of sleep in every night. My optometrist appointment was yesterday - I discovered that my eyes are healthy (yay!) and that my prescription has changed slightly. Once I get my new glasses, I'll be wearing them 24/7 (rather than just for driving). The optometrist said I don't need bifocals YET, but I probably will "next time". (And when I do, I'll go for the *really fancy* frames that I wanted to buy, but felt were too expensive at this time)

Oh, and the MRI didn't show any conclusive reason for my headaches -- everything looked good. It's been about five days since I've had a headache (now *there's* a streak I'd love to keep going!) and the doc and I have a plan to keep the headaches at bay. Next time I get to the dentist, I'll ask about TMJ and see if that could be a contributing factor for my headaches, too.

No sun here again today, so I'm going to plug in my music and work my way through the task list. I've already had three glasses of water, and gotten some of my strength training in. I've brought my own lunch and "The Spark" to read while I eat! Yay! I've 'dressed up' today for work (I haven't done that in at least a week or so), and I'm feeling like I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to today. I hope I keep that feeling!

What's new in your world? How are you doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

It's Monday! New Week! New Month! Let's DO THIS!

Yesterday, I got my water in and tracked my food. I didn't do much else fitness-wise. I read Chapter 6 of The Spark and put my goals for February together. I also got some chores done around the house.

No sun here today, and I'm afraid to look at the weather forecast. Whatever the weather is going to do, we'll get through it.

Today, I'm a little tired (in spite of 7 hours of sleep), but I've already done some strength training, and I'm on my second glass of water. Today I WILL do better than yesterday. Later today, I'm going to the doctor for my headaches - we'll talk about what the MRI showed.

Obstacles - Aunt Lynn's Taco Dip

How is everyone else doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday - I tracked my food, drank my water, and exercised and strength trained, too. Thankfully, I even made it to the grocery store.

Today, I'm working on taking stock of my January goals and setting up my February goals. The sun is out again today, and I'm going to take some time ro relax, as well as get some chores done around the house.

It's been a good day, and a good weekend. I'm looking forward to the start of the new week, new month. In addition to my fitness goals, I'm also going to find an answer/solution to my headaches this month, and get my vision checked. It's been *years* since I've done that.

How are you doing today? Do you have your February goals set?

Take care,

Kelli

We've made it to Friday!

Yesterday, I got my water and some strength training in. I didn't do much else. I have my "reasons", but they're really just excuses.

The sun is out again this morning, and it feels so good shining in through my office windows.

Today, I've already done some strength training, and I'm on my second glass of water. Today I WILL do better than yesterday.

Obstacles - I'm still not feeling 100%.

How is everyone else doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

WooHoo! It's Wednesday! Time to shine!

Yesterday, I got my water, fruits/veggies, and strength training in, as well as tracked my food. I was over my ranges, but not too far over. I'm still fighting off some sort of head cold, and I'm still a bit tired and cranky. By the time I had the chance to get on the exercise bike, I just couldn't make myself do it.

Thank goodness the sun is out this morning! It may be time for me to get over to the tanning salon a time or two. Maybe the fake sun will help me feel better

Today, I've already done some strength training, and I'm on my third glass of water. Today I WILL do better than yesterday. I'm getting on that bike tonight. Soup for lunch today - I also brought my "Find More Time" book to read during lunch. This book goes well with The Spark - both have some of the same ideas for reaching your goals.

Obstacles - I am my own obstacle.

How is everyone else doing today?

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday - Boy, was I a cranky person yesterday! I'm not sure what that was, but I'm glad the storm seems to have passed for now. I blew it on eating and drinking my water and the strength training and exercise. It's no suprise that I gained some weight back from Sunday's weigh in.

Today - I'm starting my streaks over today. I've already done some strength training, and I'm on my second glass of water. Today I WILL do better than yesterday.

Obstacles - I forgot my milk for my cereal, and I don't have change for the veding machine. Also, subs are being delivered for a company luncheon. I may still go with my soup, though.

How is everyone else doing today? Anyone else here besides me??

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday - I sort of lost steam over the course of the day. Maybe it was the gray skies, and all the soggy brown scenery... I don't know. I tracked my food and drank my water, but I didn't do any exercise. I just felt like curling up into a ball and nap.

Today - I'm still a bit cranky, and feel like I'm getting sick. I'm hoping it's just a head cold. I'm still drinking my water and logging the food. Today will be a better day than yesterday. No matter what.

Obstacles - Feeling like doggy-doo.

How is everyone else doing?

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday - I felt good. I tracked my food, drank my water, and did much better on my numbers than I have in a while. I exercised and strength trained, too! One of my big accomplishments was finally tackling that box of filing that's been accumulating for over a year! I was glad to get that done.

Today - After a few quick errands this morning, I sort of began losing steam. Maybe it was the gray skies, and all the soggy brown scenery... who knows. I managed to get a small project done this afternoon. I also tracked my food and drank my water, but I haven't done any exercise today. I've been busy this afternoon with the project, and laundry. Mostly though, I've just felt like curling up into a ball and nap. Everything feels like a chore. I'm still moving, though.

It's been a good day, and a good weekend. I'm just wiped out. Tomorrow will be a better day.

How are you doing??

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday - After having to leave work early to pick up Sweet Pea from school (her stomach has been a bit upset, but (thankfully) she has no other symptoms), I got some things done around the house. Dinner and the evening routine was done earlier, so I got on the exercise bike for a half an hour. I also drank my water, and did my strength training, too!

Today - My errands were done this morning, and I spent the afternoon getting some things done around the house. This evening, I did my strength training and drank my water. Because I was busy, I didn't snack. My weigh in is tomorrow, and I'm hoping for a good number on that scale.

I've been reading The Spark, as well as Find More Time by Laura Stack. The two books are a good combination, and so far I've been accomplishing my goal of (at least) one chapter out of each book every week. My fitness goal of 500 minutes this month has been toppled, too - I'm at 597 fitness minutes right now. (YAY!)

How are you doing??

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday: I did a bunch of strength training, drank my water, and didn't eat a lot of sweets!

Today: I'm drinking my water and plan to move more. I'm feeling tired today, so I'm hoping the hourly "bursts" of exercise help to energize me a bit.

There is still plenty at work to keep me occupied today - the to-do list is still pretty long - in spite of accomplishing things yesterday.

YAY for Friday!! (I really do need some caffeine here... yikes)

What are you doing for yourself today?

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday: Yesterday, I wanted to wrap myself up in a blanket and just sit. I over did it a bit on the comfort foods, although I didn't keep going. I didn't do any strength training, nor did I get on that exercise bike. I drank my 8 glasses of water.

Today: TODAY is MUCH better. I'm feeling better and I'm making better food choices. I've done some strength training, 100 crunches and 2 cups of water already.

The skies here in Northern, IL are light gray - no sun in sight right now - and the wind is very cold.
There is plenty at work to keep me occupied today - the to-do list is very long.

In spite of all that, today is going to be a good day. I've got my music with me.

Let's ROCK this day! Are you with me?

Yesterday:
Drank 8 glasses of water, tracked my food, ate my veggies/fruits, stayed away from the sweets, and didn't snack after dinner. I also got in my strength training and 25 minutes playing Wii bowling, and read Chapter 4 of The Spark.

Today:
I'm drinking my water and tracking my food. I've already gotten my strength training in, too. Although I'm very tempted to find the chocolate and snack away right now, I'm resisting going to the nearby candy dish or vending machine.

Obstacles:
Chocolate/sweet cravings!!!

How are you doing today??

Do something that makes you feel good about yourself today!

Yesterday, I exercised!! A thirty minute walk around the grocery store, 30 minutes on the bike, and some strength training!! I also counted some "heavy cleaning" on Saturday in addition to the strength training I did that day as well. In the last week, I've only missed my (at least) 15 minutes of strength training ONCE. YAY!

Today, I've enjoyed a ham, swiss and egg wrap for breakfast - but only half of one (they're pretty big), and I'm resisting the urge to get some hot cocoa. I'm drinking my water, and I've already gotten in some strength training this morning.

Obstacles: I need to get the food intake under control. I had a big lunch and even dessert yesterday, but a very small dinner. I have some better snack choices with me today. It's going to work!

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday, I got my water in, did less snacking, and no eating after dinner. I sat down at 7pm because I was tired and slept until 10pm - then got up and went to bed and slept straight through until the alarm went off this morning. I guess I was tired!

Today, I got up a little earlier again, did some strength training and am drinking my water. I'm still chipping away at my goals, and trying not to let the bumps in the road knock me off track.

Make today a great day! TGIF!!

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday I went a bit overboard with the carbs - totally a comfort food/emotional eating issue. I didn't get my 8 glasses of water in, and I didn't do any strength training. I did, however finish reading the Book Bonus articles for Chapter Three.

One of my goals this year is to find a reason behind my headaches, or a reasonable way to deal with them. Another goal is to get a proper eye exam - something I haven't done in years and years. I'm already working with a neurologist to accomplish the first goal, and yesterday I made an appointment to get the second goal completed. My vision has been deteriorating - I am over 40 now! - and it's time to do something about it.

Today I'm back on track - I've already done my strength training for the day, and am looking at other opportunities to do some throughout the day.

I'll be at work for the morning, then taking Sweet Pea for an eye exam (a check up) this afternoon (I'll be less likely to snack!). I'll be bringing a self-study workbook with me to accomplish one of my work goals while we wait.

I hope you're having a great day and that you accomplish all the goals you set for yourself today!

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday, I did great with the water and not eating after dinner. My streaks are going well! I've had 8 glasses of water/day, did 15 mins of strength training a day and had 4 servings of fruits/veggies! I've also started waking up 15 mins earlier in the mornings - my goal to be to get up early enough to exercise before my day gets going. I was also able to finish Chapter 3 of The Spark.

Today, I'll continue my streaks and continue looking ahead at my goals! The sun is out and that helps my attitude A LOT! During lunch today, I'll check out the book bonus program for the additional reading for Chapter 3.

Obstacles - as soon as I get out of my own way, there won't be any!

I hope you're having a really great day!

Yesterday: I moved around alot - getting things done at home (Christmas is finally packed away! The laundry is all washed AND folded!) and even made it out to the grocery store - all with a 'tender' back.

Today: My back is still feeling a little tight, but I'm doing much better. I'll be running to and fro today with working and doctor's appointments, but I've already gotten some strength training in. Today is DAY ONE of my streaks - 8 glasses of water, 15 mins of strength training, and 4 fruits/veggies (it was 2, but I can do that easily).

Obstacles: I'll be picking up lunch for Punkin, but I plan on not getting any for myself - I'll have my soup, even if it's NOT easier! It's healthier!

Today is going to ROCK, even if it is busy. :)

Take care,

Kelli

Yesterday, we spent the day with family - it was an odd day and I was glad to get home. We had a birthday party, so there was cake and ice cream and chili and other "fat" food. I opted to make myself a ham sandwich. Although, I ate a big dinner once we got home.

I've somehow tweaked my back and it feels a bit tight. I took a muscle relaxer and slept, but it still feels tender. Today, I'll do my best to keep moving and see if that helps. I have plenty to keep me busy around the house today, and I need to get to the grocery store at some point.

Streaks I'm working on:
8 glasses of water a day
15 minutes of strength training a day
2 fruits/veggies a day
7 hours of sleep/night

This week's goals:
Find better snacks
Maintain my streaks
Lose 2 lbs.
Stationary bike 2 times

Obviously, I'm starting small with the streaks, but I'm working on building momentum. I haven't seen much change in my weight yet, but with the way I've been eating, I'm not surprised.

Yesterday I got my water in, tracked my food and didn't snack after dinner! I also played Wii with the kids and got some strength training in.

Today - well, today I'm doing HORRIBLE with the food, but I'm drinking my water and moving a lot. I've also read the Book Bonus for Chapter 2 over my lunch hour.

Obstacles: I've felt like an eating MACHINE the past few days.

Over the weekend, I'm going to sit down and decide what I want to accomplish/goals, etc and get my own "streaks" started!

Take care,

Kelli

Hello again!

Yesterday I did a bunch of strength training exercises, drank my water, and read Chapter One of The Spark.

This morning, I'm home with the kids - SNOW DAY! - but will be going in to work this afternoon. I'm going to get some strength training in before I go.

Take care,

Kelli

Kelli, sounds like your off to a great start. I also love the Wii and wii fit. I'm wondering about Biggest Loser for Wii. I'm thinking I may end up getting it.

I'd love to hear more about the Spark book as you read. Have a great day and I look forward to hearing all about it!

Good morning, Sparkies!

Yesterday, I did a bit better with what I ate, and did not exercise. I started reading The Spark!

This morning, I did a few minutes of strength training as I got ready for work, and had a glass of water before I left the house (rather than having the first glass of my daily water at work).

I'll get some more "movement" in today with "desk breaks" and Wii bowling with the kids tonight. I'll also read more of The Spark during my lunch hour.

The only thing standing in the way of my success is myself!

Have a terrific day!

Take care,

Kelli

Wendy - I've been completely slacking in the exercise department, but sadly, not in the eating department!

Yesterday started out good for me, but I turned into a lazy slug by dinner time. I ate too much, and didn't get myself on the bike at all.

My goal this month is to read The Spark and lose 6 lbs (to start!)

I've got to push myself to get there!

Take care,

Kelli

I've been such a slacker. I have gained weight and stopped exercising. Either later tonight or tomorrow morning I will update my page and blog about the past few months.

I miss all my spark buddies and look forward to making new ones too! ~Wendy

Hello everyone!

Yesterday, we had the last of our "Christmases" with family. We have a bunch of leftover holiday food, too. I may eat it, but I plan on getting my body moving to counteract it a bit.

I've been working on my goals and plans today.

Tomorrow will mean getting back to our normal routine around here - I'm almost looking forward to it! :)

Take care,

Kelli

Got a good bike ride in today while I watched Biggest Loser from last night.
30 minutes and 6.32 miles, burned 441 calories and I am SWEATING!!! I have not been sweating while I exercised so that is a good sign AND I did the 30 minutes without even thinking too much about it or even thinking 'am I done yet' until I got to about 26 minutes so I knew I could get that last 4 minutes in!

I joined the mile team goal - but i just realized it says 'walk 1 mile' - I signed up thinking I could use my stationary biking. Is this ok or should I back out of that goal?

Thanks

Hey there!

Not much to report from Northern, IL today...

Temps in the high 50's, possible sunshine later. That'll be nice. I should get myself out for a walk around the parking lot here at work today. (Before my afternoon meeting!)

Last night, I made a list of the things I needed to accomplish, and I was pleased that I did everything on the list -- including getting on the stationary bike for 25 minutes!

I'd like to lose two pounds at the weigh in tomorrow, but I'll be happy with one.
*fingers crossed*

Take care,

Kelli

Sorry to hear you've gained some of your weight back, Circus. I've had the same problem over here. Since we've moved into the new house (8/21), my husband got laid off and I've gained 12 pounds. 12 pounds. HELP!!! I've joined this team hoping to "make me a priority" again.

Forgive me Sparkers. It has been two weeks since my last blog post.

I have been 'off the wagon' a bit. I wasn't doing real great at watching my food ranges, and exercise was almost nil. That was before my birthday week/weekend. And then the goodies and celebrating took over. And it was gooood.

Until I got on the scale November 1. My weigh-in day is Wednesday, but I wanted to get a "beginning of the month" baseline. Whoa. I was .3 lbs away from where I started in April. Now, I hadn't lost more than 5 lbs, but it was all back.

Time to get to work.

I'm back to watching what I eat, getting on that stationary bike, drinking my water and strength training.

I'm happy to report that since Sunday, I'd lost .6 lbs again. Hey, it's a start, right? I'm going to build on that number and keep going.

Take care,

Kelli

I've been away from SparkPeople for about a week or so, but I'm back now. :)

Last week, I ate and celebrated and didn't track anything. Now, I'm only a pound down from where I was when I started with SparkPeople in April. So, time to get back to it.

Today, I'm getting some chores done around the house and going out to do some grocery shopping later. AFTER I get my butt on that stationary bike!

Take care,

Kelli

It's pretty cool here in Houston. That is a change from a few days ago when we were in the 80's. My last couple of days have been kinda hard on me. A lot of personal stuff has been going on. I'm the one pretty much getting the short end of the stick. I try to make ME a priority, but it seems to become harder and harder each day. Sometimes I feel my life is not really my own. Hopefully in a few days it will get better. Thanks so much for listening or reading. I really need to get some of this off my chest. emoticon Have a great day!

Hey guys I'm back. I have found myself slipping so much lately and realized why. I haven't been here to Spark people in quite some time. I got lazy and thought I could do it all alone. Also thought I could look at servings and guess the amount, yeah that looks like a cup, instead of making sure. I have paid for those mistakes on the scale and have now determined to mend my evil ways. So here I am and here I'll stay.

Have a sparkling day!
Katie

Ok, as I type this, the sun isn't up yet, so I can only go by the "few showers" predicted by the weather forecasters.

Yesterday was an odd day - my computer crashed and it took our I.T. Dept. an hour to fix it! I'm just glad that they could! I felt good, and I got my strength training and steps in - I met ALL my goals for the first time in WEEKS (months, maybe!) THAT feels great!

Today, I have a bunch of things that need to be finished here at work, and a few catalogs to look through at home tonight. I order some holiday gifts over the internet, and every October "catalog season" begins. :)

Oh! Our United Way Campaign is going on this week at work. I've signed up for a 10 minute Hot stone Massage (for $10 donation). I am REALLY looking forward to that!

How are YOU doing today? What are you doing for you today?

Take care,

Let's hear it for sunshine and slightly warmer temps! YAY!

It was a busy weekend around the Circus, but a good one. I don't remember the last time I felt like I had "just enough" time for everything I wanted or needed to do over the weekend. That's a good feeling.

Sunday, I opened my Fitness Starter Kit and "played" with all the my new "toys". Aside from the cool stability ball, the new pedometer and the resistance bands, I found something else. A renewed sense of motivation and enthusiasm! I didn't know SparkPeople would put THAT in there, too! :D

So, today, I'm back to tracking my steps. That's a good thing. I did some strength training yesterday, and I plan on doing more today - working different 'groups' and alternating with my new 'toys' daily.

How are YOU doing today? What are you doing for you today?

Take care,

Kelli

The sun isn't out this morning, but it's been a good day so far. I've even had the opportunity to laugh out loud with a coworker again - that's always a good thing. I have another long to-do list waiting for me. I do enjoy feeling like I'm contributing and making a difference.

Yesterday, I worked on staying on track again with the ranges. I know I need to get some exercise in, too.

Not much else to say - I know I've been talking about my new hair cut for more than a few days now, but I can't believe how much better I feel about myself now. I'm very happy with it.

Ok, time to get to work.

How are YOU doing today? What are you doing for you today?

Take care,

Kelli

WooHoo! I lost .8 of a pound! It's a small number, but I'll take it!

WooHoo! I'm feeling good today!

WooHoo! Today I get to buy tickets for a concert I want to see next month! Double Woo!

The sun isn't out this morning, but it's been a good day so far. I've even had the opportunity to laugh out loud with a coworker -- AND, as soon as I finish this, I'm off to get some cocoa.

Last night, I totally blew the calorie range out of the water, but I'm back on track again today with the ranges. I know I need to get some exercise in, too. I'm going to work on that today.

Oh! Yesterday I ordered the Fitness starter kit from SparkPeople - I needed to replace my pedometer (which was fatally wounded in a freak truck accident - LOL), and I had a Spark Certificate from pre-ordering The Spark -- it seemed like a great time to invest in the right tools to help my journey! (Speaking of the right tools, I just today discovered a regular curling iron works MUCH better than a curling brush at getting the look I want! Another thing to WooHoo about!)

Comfy, stylish clothes, great hair, fun to look forward to... it's going to be a great day!

How are YOU doing today? Is it sunny where you are?

Take care,

Kelli

Woo! The sun is out here! YAY! I wish I would have brought my camera with me today. The fall colors show up so very prettily in the sunshine. I love the sunny fall days.

This morning, I got up, looked in the mirror and promptly reset the alarm to give me 20 more minutes to be horizontal. I then overslept an extra 10 minutes on top of that, of course. :) It was ok, though. Somehow, it all worked out and we all got to where we needed to be on time.

I've been working on staying within my ranges and drinking my water. I need to get back to doing some sort of exercise, but I've been procrastinating on that. Yesterday, it felt like I pigged out, but when I checked, I only went over on my carbs and stayed in the low end of my calorie range. Wow.

At work today, I've been crossing stuff off the to-do list. That always feels good. At home, I'm all caught up with the laundry (for now) and plan on (finally!) tackling that stack of paperwork that I need to go through. Keeping up with the paperwork is nearly as tough as keeping up with the laundry!

How are YOU doing today? Is it sunny where you are?

Take care,

Kelli
