i am sorry, i must have missed this thread somehow
Board is hard, for me at least
i have had my horses in my backyard most of the time.
i have tried boarding so i could take advantage of indoor arenas.
the first place i tried didn't feed them
the second i they would not water them
the third the lady that owned the place was a nut case..
it is hard, no one will take care of them like you will.
if you do board, go up Everyday if you can
the more your their the more you will know what is going on..
for vermont those price's sound pretty good
but now you need to know
how much is as needed?
when are they fed?
when will they be watered?
when are they checked on?
who will be doing the care?
what happens if something happens to your horse?
make sure you ask ton's of questions and make sure to talk to other boarders
that would be my advice
good luck

Getting discouraged?
Lift something equal to the weight you've lost and carry it around for awhile
Once choice at a time per day
will make your new life style become reality !
