Hi Emily,
I had the sleeve surgery 14 months ago and have been very happy with it. I try to focus on my overall health. Are you feeling better? Is your attitude better? Can you do more things already? Are you keeping a journal? That will help you as you look back. I have lost 60 pounds, I was hoping to have a weight loss of 75-80 pds my first year, but had an injury in August which had put my exercise to a halt. I try to remain thankful for what I have lost and how much better I feel. Are you getting enough calories in? That is a big deal...Hang in there! You are doing awesome. Continue learning and growing in your health journey!!!
Blessings

Hi Emily,

FYI there is a Lapband team you might want to join as well.

As for your question, have you had any fills yet? Are you tracking your food intake? If I read the calendar right, you had your surgery 18 weeks ago, so you are averaging 1.33 pounds per week, which is not too bad at all.

In any case, make sure to talk with your surgeon, but it seems like you are doing OK from my perspective.

Good luck!

Hi Emily. You are right on track - don't be hard on yourself or think you need motivation. The EXPECTED, HEALTHY, average weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. Given you band date, you've had the band for 19 weeks. You've lost 24 pounds. So you're losing more than a pound a week. Excellent!! Sounds like you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing!!

Congrats!

Alan

Hi, My name is Emily. I am new to this site. I had surgery Oct. 29th 2011. I have only lost 24lbs since my surgery. I have the lap-band done and I am working out a lot. Is there a certain something I am not doing?

I CAN...
I WILL...
