I know what you mean about frustration. When my husband was laid off about 7 years ago (I am a stay-at-home mom) we called our credit card company (Citi).We asked if they would work with us on payments. I had been a customer of theirs since 1989! They said: "Absolutely NO". I had never been late on a payment and had only carried a few thousand in balance.
My husband and I were so frustrated that we transferred the balance to another card and closed our account with the other company. Talk about customer service!
The days of the customer is always right are LONG GONE, I am afraid. Nowadays, you are guilty until proven innocent. Sad, but true.
