thanks for the information. As a single parent of three older children I am not sure what else I can do since I am paying everything on time and continue to do so, while saving a few bucks each month in case of an emergency

I know what you mean about frustration. When my husband was laid off about 7 years ago (I am a stay-at-home mom) we called our credit card company (Citi). We asked if they would work with us on payments. I had been a customer of theirs since 1989! They said: "Absolutely NO". I had never been late on a payment and had only carried a few thousand in balance.

My husband and I were so frustrated that we transferred the balance to another card and closed our account with the other company. Talk about customer service!

The days of the customer is always right are LONG GONE, I am afraid. Nowadays, you are guilty until proven innocent. Sad, but true.

I have never known them to cancel. I know my rates did go up because my credit score wasn't high enough they said, and that was after being with the company for 5 years.

about six months ago I lost about 600.00 a month from my monthly income, I started getting it back this past December, so I did have to use credit cards which I pay on time each month. My mortgage, car payment are always on time, however my insurance recently cancelled me bc my insurance score was not high enough, leaving me to find other insurance which will now be at a higher rate, has anyone else had this issue? We have had this insurance since 2004 with one claim of 1100.00. I have had the premiums deducted each month from my checking account since 2004, and now being a good customer means nothing.
