Does anyone know how we can find out what our rights as a borrower might be? I've tried to do some internet searches, but the best I've found are ethical procedures a lender should follow, but nothing that seems to be enforceable. And, btw, HSBC bank has broken almost every one of these ethical procedures with this mortgage refinance we've been pursuing!
It just seems like there MUST be something they've done that would allow us to walk away from this loan without them being able to hit us up for expenses. I think I'm going to go back through all of the emails & make a list so I have it ready in case we need to fight this, but I see no way at this point that this loan is ever going to happen!
