Yes, definately! I am motivated by my VERY NEAR FUTURE BLUE ANGELS WEDDING; my boyfriend (frontrunner for a boyfriend)is my MAIN motivation and I am just thankful I have a motivation because I am not doing this for nothing. emoticon

I give this a big, "of course!" Even though my fingers get substantially swollen when I work out, I keep my engagement ring on, just so that when I feel like giving up, I can look down, see that beautiful diamond, and think, wedding dress, wedding dress, wedding dress!

Hmmm...good question. I don't thing the wedding itself is the cause of my general motivation to get in better shape - meeting my then boyfriend/now fiancÚ was the real source of my motivation. There is so much we both want to do/see/experience together and we're both frustrated by the effect of the 9-to-5 desk job on our health.

However, the wedding has definitely given us a tangible target date for our fitness goals!

Yes, wanting to look healthy at our wedding does give me a bit more motivation.

Goals and rewards:
@ 150: hour long foot/back massage from G.
@ 140: new pair of shoes
@ 130: hour-long massage at spa
@ 120: new wardrobe

Abso! I want to be able to dance the night away!! My main focus is stamina... I would love to be able to dance for hours and hours on my wedding day!

I need motivation to stay healthy or I just sit around and do nothing. Planning my wedding has been so stressful but it's my only motivation lately to stay healthy.

My wedding was definitely extra motivation for me. It didn't start that way. I just wanted to lose the weight to look better and feel healthier. But once I went dress shopping, I started feeling much more motivated.

It wasn't that I looked bad in the dresses - in fact, many emphasised some of my skinniest parts and made me feel really good about myself. It just made the wedding feel all the more real, and I knew I wanted to look my best on that day, which gave me extra motivation for losing the weight.

Got married May 30th, 2009!

We had a long engagement and I totally slacked on getting healthy and in shape. But as soon as I hit the three month mark, I'm a different person! I am more motivated to work out and eat healthy than I have ever been. I am loving this rush!

I would say yes and no. The wedding stresses me out too much as well. I can't wait for it to be over.

I guess the topic says it all, but i bet you have off-days even now? Im scared to set a date cus im a real slacker and i DONT want to look bad @ my wedding :( You have to believe in yourself to make it, too.. And im not sure i do!
