My wife has a ton of them. I normally don't use them but i did like TieBow. P90X is supposed to be really good, I know a few that are using it now. The thing with the HITT programs is just work your way up to that level. I know a few that have got hurt because they were trying to work out at a level they were not ready for. Which ever flavor you like, Circute training or HITT or something else just work your self up to it. I probably train harder than anyone i know. But i have worked myself up to this level. It didn't happen over night.
Just remember you know your body, Listen to what it is telling you. Soreness is one thing pain is another...

Some of the home based workouts are really good. There are all kinds of HITT videos out there. I totally understand with the kids. We have 2 and that has been a hurdle for us as well. It might help if you track your meals and see where you are. Spark people has a Mobil app that is great when your on the go.I use it a bunch. It really helps to see what your protein, carbs,, and fat are. The truth is if you wait until you are hungry your body is in starvation mode! It tries to store what you eat because its sending signals to your brain that your running low. I had a hard time wrapping my head around that one! I used to eat only once a day. If this is the case it could be why the results are comming slower?

Chad-I have been really trying for about 2 years. I am slowly dropping more weight since I saw my doc in Feb. I am now down below where I was when I got pg the 2nd time. Its hard for me to get to the gym bc I work full time so the kiddos are in day care/school all day. I would hate to throw them back into "day care" at the gym for an hour while I work out. And my hubby doesnt get home till late some days. So I work out at home. I work out in the morning. with light weights. 15 being the max weight right now. I do get the the gym on the weekends. But I take a class on Saturdays and sundays are pretty much up in the air as to what I feel like doing (upper or lower body...usually lower body since I have the bigger weights available) I usually do some kind of tape at home. I have a few of Bob Harper tapes and Jillian. I also have a program called supreme 90 (its almost like the p90x but shorter videos) so i will combine some of them together. Nutrition is not perfect, but I'm working on it. I am working on cleaning up my diet more and more. Its definately a lot better than it was the beginning of the year. I dont track my calories, I eat when I"m hungry and try to keep it at the clean foods that I make. Very little processed. I love reading all the knowledge that you and Nancy provide for everyone. And soak it up like a sponge. So keep the info coming!!!!

Erica What kind of strength training and cardio are you doing? How is your nutrition? I am a firm believer if there is a will there is a way. The more muscle mass we have the more calories our body's burn evey day, so that is key to weights loss. In the beginning some people get upset when they start lifting because they actcualy gain some on the scale. A lot of this is because your body is retaining water because you muscles are healing. If you arm yourself with knowlage then you will get to your goal faster. There is a fine line between to much cardio and building and sculpting. To much cardio and all your hard work to build the muscle, your body eats that muscle for energy.
How long have you been trying to meet this goal? I am 37 years old so at 30 you will be able to do it faster than you think.

No problem Erica and Nancy.
I have been lifting on and off since the late 80s, I know im getting old but with a lot of other things we do, some times we over look the little things because were focused on just one thing. I have done it and im sure everyone else has as well..
I have learned the over training and nutrition the hard way... Now im on track again i am seeing better results than i have since i started lifting...

Thank you for your wisdom Chad! While she may have known that...i did not. Thank you for sharing :)
I would like to be in better shape. Not worried too much about weight but how i feel and look all together. I would like to lose my baby belly (yes its been 2 years so i guess you really cant call it that) lose a little size in my legs and my year end goal would to be in a size 2. By the sping/summer, I would like to have more definition in my arms and shoulders so I can sport some rockin arms in my tanks. And by my bday I would like to be 10 pounds lighter than I was last February....when I went for my yearly check up this past February, I was stuck at 139 (I think or 134 cant remember) and I asked the dr whats up...I'm doing so much but nothing gives...and she blamed it on my AGE!!! I'm not even 30 yet and she is telling me that I am old?!?! So I want to prove her wrong :) I've got 3 months to do it!!! So all the motivation and support and advise is awesome!!!

Just make sure your strength training Fit priss. When you run a lot you body goes catabolic and it eats your muscle for energy. thats probably why you are seeing it go away... A lot of running is the same as over training. Just make sure your getting plenty of Protein...

Mine is to get to below 15% BMI and at least double the size of my shoulders. Get more definition in my quads and glutes. I have been struggling with my delts. they are way behind compared to how the rest of my body is transforming...

Increasing my poundages, working on getting more muscular to reshape into a more pleasant figure. To buy a bathing suit at a regular store. I,ve already decided to grab the air motion machine when I see it empty to do a variety of muscle work-outs and cardio with woodchops and light weight. Theres only one! Get my waistline down! How about you? Cherie
