This is probably my biggest obstacle to my weight loss goal. During the day i can control munchies by staying busy, but nites are really tough. I've switched to lower cal snacks, diet soda, and fruits like bananas, and apples. If i need a more substantial snack i have peanut butter with an apple. Of course I give in on occasion and eat cookies or chocolate or some horrible fat filled snack. Its tough but I'm tracking everthing and that will often keep me from going out of control. Good luck to everyone out there....we can still make our goals even if we give in occasionally.

I learned a long time ago that when I am really REALLY craving sweets, I can have a dill pickle instead. The taste buds in our mouths for sweet and sour are so close together eating something sour helps manage the craving ......... or....... I can just cave in :0)

After a nice long bike ride you can build up quite a appitite. Or just other things life throughs at you. How do you deal with it. This tread is to help us hepl eachother with different things you do to deal with muchie situations. When I get the munchies I try to devert my attention to do somthing to do that is productive like doing dishes or laundry. And my favorite watering weeding my garden.
