Honestly I feel very fortunate. I love my job and even though it can be stressful at times, that is not the norm. I work 8:30-4:30 most days which gives me time to get home (via Metro) for a 5:30 or 6pm class at the gym. I go to the gym after work 3-4x a week, unless I have plans.

It sounds like you get a lot more exercise then me. I try to get myself out of bed in the am and run/walk/or bike for about 30 min. If not, I just don't have the time. I guess i could park further from my office....I have six kids, five at home. I just never seem to have any extra time. I am taking a college class right now, but I dont focus on that as much as I need to either. So I am really not sure where my time goes.

My days are pretty busy. I can't tell you how I stay in shape because I'm not in shape just yet. I'm a government contractor with DHS and work downtown.

I plan to get in shape by doing a lot of walking during the day and hitting the gym in the evening. Instead of catching Metro to and from my job, I walk from Union Station (about 1.5 miles each way). In addition to that I do a lunch walk which can range from 2.0 to 3.0 miles. To keep the lunch walk interesting I try to visit a different DC landmark everyday. For example today I walked from my job to the Smithsonian Castle, the day before I walked to West Potomac Park. So just by sticking to that, I walk a minimum of 5 miles a day.

The after work at least 3 times I week, I go to LA Fitness for weight training. I also use LA Fitness for the cardio equipment just in case I can't get my day walking in.

Well thanks! I should probalby change the picture as this was when I lose 50 pounds the first time on spark. Then had baby and moved and many other things. SO I still feel cute but I do not look quite like this. I think I am going to change this cuz I want one of my son.

What grade do you teach? I have a lot of teachers in my family? Can you walk at lunch?

Wow! You look fabulous! Goes to show that hard work pays off! Let's see who else cares---lol. Thanks for posting.I am inspired by it. I teach school all day and am so tired when I get home I sometimes just slide into bed! I tried gyms but have a hurt knee and a boatload of excuses.

Lets see if we are the only ones on this team who..umm...care...

I am busy. I have a senior level position at a firm downtown and a 16 month old. Need I say more. My workouts are during lunch where I walk 2 blocks to my gym and burn it out. I got to Balance Fitness and they beat you up pretty good in their from cycling to bootcamp. I leave feeling hurt and in pain. AND love it. I have lost 8 pounds since joining. Need I say more...
