Getting 8 cups of water in daily ... I keep 4 16oz water bottles in the fridge, I wash them out and refill them each evening so they're cold the next day. Each day I make sure I drink one before lunch, two in the afternoon and one during my workout. And it's easy to keep track just by looking in the fridge.
2009 is going to be my year. I'm not on this journey for my hubby, or my kids (even though they are wonderful incentive!). I am going to lose this weight for ME!

If you are an on-call technician and you anticipate being busy, plan on changing which Mass you are going to on the weekend!
Something that has really been helping me is to weigh and measure my food ie eat real serving sizes not just taking a "helping". When I help myself, I always take more than I need and I always finish it even when I am not hungry. For some reason I have a problem with stuffing myself! (old bulemia tendencies rearing up in a seemingly controlled fashion). KM

Tip #3 - Motivation
Post each day. Get involved in a team. Make friends on the team. Those friends will help you achieve your goals. They will help you when you are having a bad day. They will rejoice with you when you have successes and support you though the tough times.
If someone needs motivation reach out. This is a community that does better with people helping out and being there and staying motivation.

Have you looked for some quick, easy and free fitness videos to do? I highly recommend that you check out the ones that Spark People offers. They are great. They are short, about 10 min and a great work out. I highly recommend them. I know that there are a bunch to choose from. And you can pick out what works for you with the equipment that you have. You don't need any.
I love these because I can get them in first thing in the morning, and it is a great way for me to start the day.

I know that the last episode of Daily Breakfast that I was listening to Father Roderick said that he could not use the nutrition tracker, and here is a tip- I don't use the SP generated meals, I put in my own. I am a picky eater so I don't like most of them.
You can search for foods based on a database of foods that are put in by spark people, or you can enter your own. If you see a * before the food it is a user entered food. You can take it for what is put in, or you can research if it is correct. All others SP. I do this all the time especially when I want to get a more accurate calorie count.
I also put "meals" together that I use often, like how I make my morning coffee. Makes entering the meals in quick and easy. I do this with many of my typical meal combination's. This really saves me time and energy.
I also usually enter in foods that I prepare to find out the calories and to share them with others. I do this through the Spark Recipes. That is how I am doing the Grace Before Meals cookbook.
If you need help with this please let me know.

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
