Thanks for the complement! I just had a bit of a backstep--had to go back "home" for a funeral, so I had a few bad days of eating local cuisine I can only get when I'm there...
No big worries... two days will not undo 9 months of progress!

Let's go team! Fr. Roderick had me cracking up in the car with his interpretation of the UK version of The Biggest Loser, in the latest Daily Breakfast!

Hey Team!
I'm currently out of town attending a meeting of the Knights of Columbus. I have some ideas planned for this SparkTeam. Can't wait to get back home and start rolling those in!

Jeepers - you may have heard from Father Roderick's Daily Breakfast a week or so back that it takes 21 days to develop a regular habit. The mindset you want to take is that you want to make updating Spark something as common as brushing your teeth. Once you've developed that habit - coming on Spark comes naturally.
For some reason, Spark is MUCH SLOWER for me at work. So, I've been logging my food separately, then catching up with entry when I get home. Much better than giving it up altogether!
Here's another trick. When you go into your huddles, why not leave a message post or two on the team page as well?
Overwhelmed a bit - I love the site, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with all there is to do...I find that one day I am totally on track and journal everything in sparkpeople and the next day I fall off the track. How can I keep my motivation going every day. I am expecially worried because we are up against the holidays now....How is everyone doing? Is anyone interested in a challenge to journal or exercise each day or something similar?

I wanted to say, I am so amazed at this community. I just found SQPN not too long ago, when I found podcasts. This is an amazing community that I am proud to be apart of. I hope one day to contribute to the community. The podcasters are wonderful people to share there life and story with us. Father Roderick has done so much for myself, and I am sure other to bring them back into the faith.
My life has changed so much for the better because of things like going back to confession, saying the rosary for the very first time, opening my heart and mind to God more. I found all of this through SQPN. I wanted to share how thankful I am . They will never know it but I am so thankful.

Hi Kerry, I have been trying to figure out how to contribute to this community... I want to eventually do a podcast, but this is the way for me to start. I love SQPN, what they have done for my faith, and I want to help out others while bettering myself for the good of God.

One of the best things about SP it the ability to post and to rely on others, no matter where they are to support you and help you. You can be on a journey to change your lifestyle and loose weight as I am; or a journey to challenge yourself to run a marathon or another challenge like that; or to maintain your current weight. Please post and let us know your ideas and thoughts. There are some great resources though out the site that others may not know are available, so if you find something.... Please share.

80% of SparkPeople members try to cook healthier versions of holiday favorites, according to a recent poll. Eat better this Turkey Day with these nine exclusive recipes that are BIG on taste and tradition but low in calories.
The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
