I like the idea of using a straw in the cup, I'm going to try that!

I just found at my local Sprouts (whole foods store) liquid FLAVORED stevia. There are about a dozen different flavors, like mint, chocolate, orange, and even vanilla and rootbeer. A couple (literally 2) of drops in a 16 ounce bottle of water has just the hint of flavor and sweetness that I'm looking for, and BONUS - ZERO calories.

They are a little pricey, about $12 for a 2 ounce bottle, but when you think about how many bottles of water that will flavor (about 300), I see it at a huge savings over even drinking something like the MetroMint water.

What about flavored teas? I don't mind water as long as it is cold. I keep it by my bed at night and 1st thing in the morning I drink about 1- 1/2 C. Great start!

I sometimes brew flavored decaf tea for iced tea. A friend likes Truvia or Stevia. She drinks Crystal Light Pure. They also drink 1/2 black tea and 1/2 a flavored berry tea. I used to add Splenda to the tea when I would go out, but sometimes the tea is good enough and I don't need it.

I'm not so great with caffeine so I try to steer clear of the teas when I'm out, but occasionally it's ok. QT has plain pineapple green tea and a black mango. Both are plain(unsweetened and they have Splenda available if that is what you like or stash what you like in your purse/car).

I carry a great 24 oz water bottle from Target with me everywhere I drink 2 of those a day added to my 1- 1/2 in the morning, my 1 C oj and my 1 C milk and I'm good every day.

Hang in there, you can do it!

I purchased an inexpensive water bottle that holds 74 oz. Every morning I squeeze a lemon into the bottle and fill it with ice and water. I keep lemon wedges in the fridge so I'm always ready. I usually drink 2 bottles a day. The bottle has a straw which does help me drink it faster. So far this has been the only thing that has helped me with my water intake.

I find it faster and easier if I drink it from a cup that has a straw. I start drinking and before I know it it's gone.

You can always use lemon, lime, or cucumber. Also, I found True Lemon Rasberry Lemonade at Safeway (packets to put in water) that has no artificial sugars and is only 5 calories per packet.

Ok, I know I'm not alone when I say that I just don't like drinking plain water. I'm trying to figure out a way to eliminate most if not all artificial sweetener from my diet. This includes my diet coke, equal I use in my coffee everyday, and those yummy water flavor packets that make drinking water much more pleasant! My question to you all is....are there any water flavor (powder packets) out there that DO NOT contain aspartame, sucralose, or any other artificial sweetener in them? Oh yeah, that are still fairly low in calorie content? The research I've done on artificial sweeteners is not good...it can cause increased hunger, weight gain, anxiety attacks, and even cancer! I hope I can find something else to put in my water. Any suggestions would be welcomed!!!
