I had something like this happen to me too at the park; it was me and 2 other ladies and their boys, 3 and 5 and my son's 1. I was playing with my son on the swing too and as I was letting him walk to the smaller tower some guy was there at the bench stretching so I picked up my son and we walked over to the other moms and their sons. As soon as I went over the guy climbed up onto the smaller kids park and starting working out on it; using the slide as a push up platform, the tower as a pull up bar. We all left right then and there. It was strange to decide in the middle of the day you want to work out in a kid's park and there was a baseball park right across the way. He could of easily done all that working out on the bleachers or something. It made us all very uncomfortable specially since this guy had a ski hat and thick jacket on like he was preparing to grab a kid.
so we had a pretty day today. a little windy but warm not hot. so I thought i would take my 1 year old to the park for about 30 minutes before i had to go to work. I also took along my camera. so when i get there 3 guys about 18-20 was playing basket ball and another women with a 3 year old was there. I put rebekah on the swing and she laughed and i took pictures for about 15 minutes. then i let her wonder around the tower play part . now this is right beside the swings and is made for preschool children. there is another playground for older kids away from this one. so on the tower it has 3 slides and i put my camera down right beside the shortest slide . and i held her and she was laughing have a ball. we'll then the 3 boys came up and as soon as the one hit the bottom step i picked up my camera. he walked up the top platform of the tower and started looking out around the playground and the other 2 stood at the bottom. we'll i grabbed up rebekah and headed to my car which was not far away. when i looked back one was sitting on the steps and all of them was watching me the women started walking to her car. it just pissed me off they had no buisness to be playing on that playground. and I felt like they were going to try and steal my camera. ( its a nikon d5000) and of course no one was there to do anything about it. I had such a hard time holding my tongue as i walked away. I have now decided we are going to have to buy a swing set or travel in packs to the park which i think is very sad.
