My results are:

10 inches lost!

5 pounds lost!

Most of the inches and all of the pounds came off during the second half of the program! On to Ripped in 30 starting today. I hope to have just as amazing results with that program.

Kim, I didn't really want to workout either but figured why mess up my streak. Esp since Sept only has 30 days and I wanted to start the next one on Oct 1st, not Oct 2nd.

Did workout day 10 of level 3 today and day 9 yesterday! WOOOHOO!!!

I really, really didn't want to workout today but it was the last day, so I pushed myself to do it and felt great afterward. I previewed the workout for RI30 and I'm ready to give that a shot tomorrow morning!

I still need to get up and do today's workout. It was a busy day with doctor appts, cleaning the house for my parents to come babysit for said appts, then softball practice. I think I'll probably do it in a half hour.

Karen, I'll do whichever thread you'd like to do :) I just got my RI30 dvd in the mail yesterday. Woot!

Day 8 of Level 3 done. I felt much stronger today - this could be because I ate an hour before the workout, instead of doing right after I woke up, on an empty stomach. Either way, it felt good to be actually coming off the ground on the jumps at the end :)

Kim, I think the Supermans do my stomach in. I haven't tried working out on an empty stomach yet because I feel like I need more energy. I think I might try it tomorrow and see how I do. I have to take my thyroid hormone and wait 30-60 minutes to eat anyways, so I need something to fill that time. I forgot, did you say you are going to do RI30 for October?

Day 24 done! I think some of the moves are feeling slightly easier, although I'm still a sweaty mess so they're not that easy!

Karen, great job! I went to my knees on the dumbbell row/kick things this morning and, like you said, it didn't feel hard enough, so I did a smaller lift from the plank position. And you're right about the eating, too! Weekday mornings, I workout first thing. Yesterday (sunday) I did it right after breakfast and, yikes, I wasn't feeling that great.

Kim, I do the traveling push ups but only go down half way. I really feel that, my goal is to get further down each day. I tried the modified version but didn't feel anything like I do when I go half way. I just got home from taking the kids to Sunday school, had a late breakfast of oatmeal. I'll probably wait about 2 hours before doing the DVD today. I've found with level 3 that I need to wait longer after I eat to do it or else it bothers my stomach. I can't believe that after today's workout we only have one week left!

5whiteroses - This level 3 is challenging - way to adapt the last abs to make it work for you. I can do the side planks, but I've had to modify several moves throughout. I can start out with the traveling push-ups but have to drop to my knees by the end of the second set.

Big props to us for 23 days of sticking to it!

I finished L1 today. I'm super proud of myself because this is the longest I've ever stuck with a "diet". It's been about 2 months since I started exercising and eating right, and I've lost 15 pounds. I am going to buy another one of Jillian's dvds for when I get done with 30DS. Anybody have one they like? I was thinking of getting Ripped in 30. Thanks for any advice!

I did day 2, level 3 earlier today. I think I did a little bit better than yesterday. I did choose to substitute for circuit 3 abs. I did the one where you hold your weights up and then bring your legs to each side. Then for the second part I did bicycle. I think this will be what I stick with for circuit 3. I'd rather be productive doing something I can do for the minute than sit there and try to do the impossible (for me).

Just did day 1 of level 3.....omg that was evil!!! Had to do some modifications and just could not do circuit 3 abdominals. How do you do that? I couldn't even do one, even when I stopped and watched Anita and tried again...failure. Can you guys do that move? I am thinking I'll substitute in level 2 move that you hold your weights over you and lift your legs up and over to each side, I think it was for the obliques?

This is the level that she should be saying that she wants us to feel like we're going to die. Hopefully day 2 will be better for me.

Karen level 3 is pretty awesome. I'm finding it kind of easy, but I think it's because of all the workouts leading up to it. There is no way I could have gone right to level 3. I don't have the RI30 DVD, so I think I am going to go with Extreme Shed and Shred, I have that one and I LOVE the kettlebells, it is a really gread strength and cardio workout. I can't belive we are almost at the end of September already. Man this flew by. Great work everyone, lets keep it going.

Kim I decided to go with RI30 next because it is the same format as 30ds..The only difference is the warm up is about 7 minutes instead of 3....You are still warmed up, worked out, and cooled down in about 30 minutes...

Welcome...I actually finished 30ds on Monday and moved onto RI30..I chose RI30 because I have seen several people move from 30ds to RI30 online and their result pictures are phenomenal...Besides that I love the 3-2-1 format she has and it is the same idea in RI30 and workout is only 20 minutes....

Ali and I and another lady as of last night are following each other on RI30, we started Tuesday, today is Week 2 Day 3....you can find us and join when you all are done if you'd like, bc i find myself back in this thread everyday lol..looks like most of you will catch us mid Week 2...

Kim, I'm staying with Jillian workouts thru the end of the year, as a very minimum. For October, I haven't decided for sure what I want to do. It's either RI30 or else alternating NMTZ with BFBM. I went to Ali & Miriam's new thread (RI30 starting Sept 18) and posted there so I could start following them. I bet they'll influence my decision to choose RI30 for October. It's what I was originally thinking but then was disappointed by my lack of weight loss on 30DS so that's why I was considering the other programs.

Man have I been MIA. I hate it because I was doing so well with it but then life got chaotic where I literally have to get up real early now to fit in any exercise before heading out to work. I have just been doing some walking but plan on restarting 30DS and adding some walking in as well. You ladies have been doing awesome!!!! I look forward to seeing all of your results.

Way to make your husband a believer, Karen! I love that! I've urged my husband to try a workout with me, but ... no. haha. But he has been very supportive, so that's nice.

Day 20 DONE! Tomorrow is Level 3 - woot! Maybe because I knew it was the last day, or maybe because I finally got stronger, today's level 2 was easier.

You all are sticking with a Jillian for October? I'm not sure what to do. I am limited on workout time in the morning - 30 minute workout is a max for me.

i only did one day so far today is day 2 but i loved it...my fav part was the strength was three different moves in three minutes instead of only 2 moves for longer like in 30ds..the music is better too lol

I haven't decided yet what DVD I want to do for October. At first I was thinking RI30 but now can't decide between that or rotating NMTZ & BFBM. I don't want to lose the muscle I've gained but I would like to see some pounds lost. How do you like RI30 so far?

Just finished L2, D9, woohoo one more day until I move up! Remember at the beginning of the month I said that my husband told me he didn't think I'd do this entire workout? He no longer doubts me. Last night he was giving me a back rub and without any prompting from me he said that he could tell my back is more muscular. YES! So of course I made him check out my arms, lol! He no longer doubts I'll complete the 30DS. However, he won't accept my challenge to try just one workout himself.

Made it thru one more day and then ... didn't feel sick but had no energy and was sore eventhough wasn't exercising... essentially took 10 days off except for a little walking anda few spark videos. During that time period. I tried a couple days to do 30DS but couldn't get beyond the first circuit in level one; finally got thru it once but it was so ugly I called it L1Day Zero ! LOL.

I was gone from 30DS for so long that I've decided to start over.... so today was L1D1.
It went better than I was doing at the start of the month but still having a little problem getting thru those cardio pieces.
I can't believe how much harder than it looks that little bit of jumprope and buttkicking is. I don't know how long it will take me but I think I'm sticking with level 1 until I can do it properly all the way thru for a couple days in a row.
.... though as "extra" exercising I may have to do some partial passes thru the other levels to learn the form on some of those exercises you'all have been chattering about that are scaring me :)

Thanks so much for the support, it really gave me that extra push to do what I knew I needed to do. So today was D1 of L3, and OMG!! it felt so good to be back at it. I have to say I am not such a big fan of the plyometrics that comes with level 3, not that I can't do them, but man jumping really makes the extra 50lbs flop around a lot, lol.So guess its a good thing I didn't quit it, got to get rid of that flab. So glad to be back at it, I even added 6W6P for the first time. I gave level 1 a try for about 30 minutes, not sure if I like it or not yet. I like a lot of it but some I'm not so crazy about, have to give it a few more tries.
Javamonster, did you ask the Dr. about any thing you can do, like maybe some yoga to get some gentle stretching in and tone up? Feel better and hope you find something you can do to keep active.

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted here--after a week and a half of the Shred, I noticed I was taking a lot more Ibuprofen for my hip pain, so I finally made an appt to see my doc. It turns out that I have a mild case of arthritis in that hip, and probably some sciatica nerve something-or-other going on. She prescribed PT and told me to lay off the DVDs (even if overall I was starting to feel really good after finishing it!). Humph. I was even adapting the high impact moves to lower impact.

I'll have to see what's going on with that hip before I start up again. Grrr. Meantime, I'll check in with you all and see how you're doing--you're almost finished! Wow!

Michele, you know you can do this. You want to or else you wouldn't have posted! emoticon

Jump back in the saddle! If you have to, write it on your calendar just like you'd schedule any other important thing you need to accomplish. How about doing it before you sit down at your computer? Just think of the sense of accomplishment you'll get when you finish your 30 days.

I'm back!! well my computer is anyway. Thanks so much everybody for the kind words, support and everything else. Ok I know I am in trouble right now. I am on day 3 of not working out, this is where it gets to be all or nothing for me, I know I am in danger of dropping off all together. I had a crazy busy weekend with the kids, non stop running and then I started to not feel well so I did no structured exercise this weekend. Now it is Monday the kids have no school, but I have classes the next two days, so I have been at the computer all day trying to get caught up on my work that I didn't get to do over the weekend. And now its 3 days with out exercising and I am at D9 L2 and so close to actually completing 30DS for the first time every. I need a kick in the a** to get it together tomorrow and just do it. Wish me luck, and great job to everyone who is still going, I can and will do this with the help of all of you.

Kim, bummer on no inches either. When did you measure? I measured today and was happy to see some areas shrank but surprised to see that others did not. I can see & feel the changes in my muscles in my arms & legs and hardly lost there. I did lose some in my chest & ribcage, but I think that is back muscles (my front side looks the same to me).

Today's workout will be late again, another busy weekend day.
