Now that I've started level 3, I'm adding rock star jumps to the list. They are just really awkward for me and I'm afraid I'm going to hurt my knees. As much as she talks about being smart and not injuring your joints, I don't know how this is a good exercise for your joints. You are slamming down on your feet. I can't do them anyhow so I do butt kicks instead.

Believe it or not...just pushups. And it isn't because I can't stand doing them; been a martial artist for most of my life and I'm pretty used to doing push-ups as a result. But my Chiari malformation has altered my workouts and training. It's a condition that makes certain positions, bending, movements, etc, very difficult. Leads to dizziness, fainting, VERY severe migraines, etc. So I have to do modified push-ups by leaning upright against a wall and doing vertical push-ups. Jillian might not feel that counts, but I'm not risking my health for it when I have kids to live for, and when I can modify ONE exercise rather than do it and risk worsening a condition that can lead to brain surgery? Yeah...no brainer there. LOL.

Loathe - Chair squat with a V raise. I cannot do these together. I have tried and it doesn't work for me so I separate it and do the squats with them and then pause the DVD and do the V raises. Walk out pushups...UGH...I can do the walk out part no problem, but the pushup is killing me. I am still doing lady pushups...I can do 25 in that position. In the standard pushup position I can do three.

Love - I'm not sure. I like the exercises in Level 2 because they are more modern and different from what I have been doing, but after 3 days am having more trouble than day one...go figure.

I HATE jumping jacks with a passion. In fact I had avoided doing the 30DS because of them. Today I did level 1 and pushed through...yeah still hate them. I love all the strength training. Haven't started level 2 or 3 yet.

I loathe the anterior raises with the side lunge. I just feel like my form is strange on that one. Also hated the rockstar jumps when I first started, but now they are ok. Overall, I love the shred because it is effective. After 6 weeks on the shred, even my 95 yr old grandma noticed something changed about me & that I should keep doing whatever it was.

Mountain climbers (that seems to be on all her videos that I have), burpies, and those high-jump things in the last circuit of Level 3 are the exercises that don't like as much.

Moves I love? Not sure I have any I love...probably the moves in the warm ups, LOL.

Well my knee is still on the mend so the jumping jacks, butt kicks and jump rope are the things I loathe the most right now. My knee is still weak(and really horrible now that I've been sick three weeks).

I have a love hate relationship with the Lateral raises and side lunge. They hurt SO bad, but they are fantastic for strengthening my knee and my shoulders.

And those of you talking about the animals trying to help you exercise, don't feel bad, my cat does it to me too. Nothing like doing a push up down to a cat that's demanding a belly rub.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma—which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. –Steve Jobs

Love most of the exercises... especially any variation of push up and ab exercise, as well as plank jacks, mountain climbers, and jumping rope.

HATE rockstar jumps, butt kicks, and lunges are really hard for me. The jumping lunges are impossible.

I loathe the jump rope and jumping jacks.

I love and loathe the bicycle crunches. I hate them because they hurt so much and they're the last thing and they seal the feeling of imminent death, but I love them because I FEEL them. I do have abs under there somewhere!!

I love the... whatever they're called. Flat on my back, raising the weights. I think I secretly just love the flat on my back, catching my breath part, but I really FEEL those working.

I have trouble with the lunges... My balance is bad, and the lunges throw me off a bit.

When I first started (completed Day 7 lvl 1 today) I really hated the jumping jacks and butt kicks. Still can't kick my own butt, but I have the energy now to complete the whole thing without killing myself!

I'm only one Level one, but I HATEHATEHATE the side lunge/arm raises in the last strength circuit.

I like the ab work the best, but maybe that's because I get a chance to catch my breath with them.

I'm a big fan of lunges of any sort and I really like the walking push ups.

What kicks my butt to the curb is the cardio in Level 2 Ciruit 2 (the oblique twists) and the strength in Level 2 Circuit 3 (military presses and v-curls).

I don't know how I'm ever going to do Level 3!

I'm on day 6...Level 1: I detest the side lunge, laterally lifts
love all the ab work.

Still can't do all the pushups though. I can do round one, but can't make all of 2 yet. puny little arms :(

I know what you mean. My dogs think it's playtime when I get on the floor. My Doberman tries to lick my armpits when I'm doing the crunches (gross I know)

I'm only on Day 7 (with my knees, I find it easier to go 2 days on and then 1-2 days off, also works better with my work schedule which varies every day), but I find pushups incredibly difficult for me.

Also, my cat seems to think that anytime I am down on the floor I should be petting him, so it is very hard to try and do push-ups with my cat in my face. I am hoping to solve this problem by turning our spare bedroom into an office/gym, but we need to get it cleaned out/up first. Right now I have to work out in the livingroom and there isn't a good way to keep the kitties out of the way.

Love:
- Pushups
- Plank jacks

Loathe:
- Walking pushups i just cant do it without bending my knees.
- Jumping lunges. Lunges are bad enough, without the added jump thrown in.
-Jumping jacks with weights (im not entierly sure this is a safe move!)

L1- pushups
L2- burpees
L3- scissor kicks and walking pushups

All are effective, but they hurt and I dont like them but they get the job done!

Enjoy life to the "nth" power! If you have goals and aspirations set forth to do them now. Life is too short. Like Nike says...."Just Do It"

Procrastination is not an option. Never say never. Tomorrow is not promised to us. Enjoy!! As my cousin says...."Do you"!!!

I'm only at the beginning of Level 1 but so far I like the Butt Kicks and (oddly) all of the ab work.

As I've posted before, jumping jacks and side lunges give my ankle a lot of trouble. Push-ups just kick my butt (but not is a good butt-kick way)

I haven't done the shred in over a year now, but this is what I remember liking:

superman (of course)
plank w/row and leg raise
walking plank

Least favorite moves:

star jumps - or something like this, they are tuck jumps - my knees just don't lift up that high yet --still working on this one.

chair squats with v raise - my deltoids always burn on this one.

My friend is actually the same with the anterior raises/side lunge, so she filled 2 600ml water bottles with sand and says they are the perfect weight for her :) You may want to try something like that...cheap and handy!

The anterior raise/side lunge is the worst for me. I think I need to grab lighter weights and I just feel that my form is all off on the lunge.
I also hate the jump rope. It hurts my feet and calves! I usually end up just doing calf raises during this time.
I love - How great I feel afterwards and how much toner I look in my clothes!

I haven't done the Shred since the middle of December, so I kind of forget. But I was kind of annoyed by the side lunge/shoulder raise that you didn't like either! I remember that the butt kicks were kind of tough for me in the beginning but that by the end I was much better at them. I heart 30 Day Shred!!!

Hi Team :)

I'm curious to hear what exercises (on each level) people love and loathe.

For me its:

L1 - (loathe)squat & press, static lunge/bicep curl. (love) butt kicks, anterior raises/side lunge.
L2 - (loathe)high knees, double jump rope. (love) walking push-ups, skaters.
L3 - **haven't gotten there yet! 5 more days!

Feel free to share guys x
