Hey Ladies! Great job on making it the full 4 weeks!! I'm so proud of both of you. Sadly, I didn't go out with a bang like I wanted to. On top of everything, my son and I have both been sick since last Wednesday. Today is the 1st day, I'm feeling a bit better. But, I'm still Sparking and pressing forward inch by inch.

This certainly is a journey - up and downs - challenges and triumphs and I'm glad I've gotten to know you both a bit more along the way!

Lol...I know right? I HATE getting on the floor for ANY exercise!! And usually try to find something else that's equal to whatever it is I should be doing on the floor..

I'm going to work up a new workout for myself...something that isn't so demanding...I tend to think if it's NOT 45 to 90 minutes long it's not working...so as long as I get 30 minutes a day...for say 10 days, then I'll up it or add something else...it's still in the works, but it's something I WANT to keep doing!!

It sure does. I can't believe it is at an end. I didn't lose to much weight but I sure built some muscle. lol This challenge actually got me in to the strength part of exercising. I love it. Now if I could learn to love crunches, squats and lunges I would be fine.

The challenge really pushed me and I think it really helped me to get into the strength training. So many of the video's I couldn't do or had to modify something crazy. I tried to do the Pilate abs but what I did was nowhere close.. lol Modified and got the job done though.

That was awesome. Wow, what a workout she got in while doing something beautiful at the same time. Simply amazing. I'd never thought of using hoops like that. Thank you so much for sharing that. It made my day.

Yes I love Leslie also. She has so many different video even though they are basically the same steps, she knows how to step it up faster and faster and I love that.

Thank you both so much for your support and encouragement - it really means more than you will ever know!! Carmel - having your thoughts and prayers is so sweet :) and Amy, it's nice to know you understand the crazy family stuff!

I'm still pushing through and forcing myself to do the exercise but I know this is all just a bump in the road.

Sorry your arm is killing you today Amy - but great job in getting the walk in. Carmel - do you enjoy the Walk Away the Pounds videos? I remember, a couple of days ago (I think), you mentioned you did the videos. I think Leslie Sansone is great - very motivating and her workouts are so easy to follow. I love no complicated moves!

Della - Oh how I know how family and in laws can be!!! UGHHH!!! My hubby's family are a BUNCH of trouble making back woods IDIOTS!!!! And that's being nice!! If the family is getting along, my MIL will call one of the 5 sisters and say _____ is saying _____ about _____ it's CRAZY!! Then everyone gets pissed b/c of a lie my MIL started!!
My hubby and I been the "black sheep" of both families for so long...we hit rock bottom and all my own mother could say is
"I look at you and see myself 20 years ago, y'all gotta pull outta the slump y'all put yourselves into"...
Then my Dad moved here 2 years ago RIGHT BESIDE ME (my mother in law lived on the other side of me...needless to say we MOVED!! And after NOT being close to my dad for 36 years..all of a sudden he's my neighbor and after we moved I'm lucky to talk to him once ever 3 months and I'm the one who has to call him...and he lived less then 7 miles from me, and right beside my MIL...
Family is CRAZY!!!! Hopefully things will start to fall into place for y'all...never give up girl!! No matter how bad it looks...something will give ;) I'm proof!!

You both are doing so awesome!!

Amy - I hope the shot works good for you. I've heard cortisone shots work great but are painful to get.

Carmel - how was your visit with the kids/grandkids?

I can't believe this is week 4 and my toughest week so far. I've really had a rough week. I did get my bike ride in today but that is the only exercise I have done this week. We've moved heavy stuff on Saturday (the hottest day of the week, of course) so I counted that as my exercise and we moved smaller items (boxes and stuff) on Sunday. Then yesterday I was doing the deep cleaning around the apartment before we give our key back this week. Things have been a bit stressful (hubby's been out of work since Jan. and his unemployment will be running out soon and he hasn't been able to find work - interviews but nothing solid yet - hence our move temporarily with his sister but his mom is unhappy about that and she needs to 'save face' and told us we can't stay with my SIL. So, come Friday I don't know where we will be living. Honestly, never thought my life would be quite like this - guess nobody would, huh? ) - ugh, family drama, I hate it!! I'm looking for evening and weekend employment (currently, I work 2 jobs but one is at school so I will be done there in 3 weeks). So, I am finding it harder to stay focused this week but I know I can't give up - I have to be determined no matter what to still work on living a better and healthy lifestyle. Thanks for letting me vent!

This evening I will make sure I get in the toning video. I'm truly inspired by both of your constant efforts - not giving up even when tired or injured emoticon emoticon

Keep up the great work Carmel!! There are PLENTY of days where I DO NOT FEEL IT!!! I promise ya that!!


t's official I have tennis elbow :( and got a cortisone shot in it this morning and some anti inflammatory drugs to help "fix it" and gotta go back in 4 weeks...the Dr gave me some strengthening exercises to do to make the tendon stronger, and told me to stop taking the meds if it feels better UGH! Hopefully this helps it and I can get back to Curves soon!!

I'm gonna do 2 2 mile walks today with walk away the pounds and my NEW exercises the Dr gave me...have a great day!!

That's great Amy. I sure hope the Doctor can help you and your elbow will be feeling better soon. I ended up doing a couple of the toning tapes and some hand weights on my own. First time I did 40 minutes of strength but it felt oh so good. I tried to push myself with the cardio yesterday but just wasn't feeling it. Ended up with thirty minutes but today I need to do more since it's a none strength day for me (accept the bootcamp video)

Della you doing okay?

Five more days! Wow!!! I only lost one lb last week but because of all this toning, I can see progress in the outfit I'm using to judge inches. Happy about that!

Well it's early and I'm going to try to go back to sleep after I finish posting here. Have a great day ladies.

I got in thirty minutes today. It's normally my day to rest but wanted to start the week off with something. Glad we have the exercise immunity going on this week because that will push me to keep moving.. don't tell anyone but I plan on winning that immunity idol.. lol

Della - yes my hubby works swings...he works 10 days at a time...12 hour days from 5 am to 5 pm, then 5 days off..then 10 days from 5 pm to 5 am then 5 days off again...I love it! But hate night shift!! When he's working nights I don't really sleep till about 4 am...

Carmel - my DVD came yesterday and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the trampoline cardio blast!! It's FUN!!!

I can't believe it's the last week of the spring challenge either!! I'm ready to make this week 115% with ya!!

I'm proud of us. This challenge seems like it has gone by quickly but it truly got me into the routine I needed. Isn't the internet awesome. I can find all kinds of exercises on here and not have to pay a dime. Love how people share on here to help others. I've been watching the successful weight loss journeys on youtube and they are so inspiring. Can you believe today is the last day of week three? Let's bring it home every day this coming last week by putting 115 percent into each workout. We can do it!

Amy - Well, then you're still so busy being stay at home!! I used to be stay at home and I loved it. Fortunately, my work schedule let's me be with my family a lot so it works out well. I got thrown off by the switching to days comment from your post a couple of days ago. Does your hubby switch from night/day shifts??
It's hard changing up workouts when you have to accommodate a body part (darn appendages :) We're down to 2 weeks of school left - California gets out later than other places so June 8th is our last day. It sounds like you've got great ways of 'sneaking' in the workouts so your kids won't know.

Carmel - Good for you for finding a substitute on the abs workout. Honestly, I've been having to do the same. Either the ones here on SP I can't feel or they hurt my neck. So, I've been doing some from Comcast (or Xfinity - don't know who they are these days :) On Demand. But the butt blaster one from Nicole is a killer. I still have to take a small pause toward the end (ha, no pun intended). I saw your status says you will be seeing your kids and grandkids today - how fun!!

Okay ladies we are almost done with week 3 - GOOD FOR US! We're accomplishing so much and we should be proud of ourselves (pat on the back)

Good morning ladies,
I'm substituting the toning workout today because I just can't seem to get into the ab workout. I like the sitting one coach nichole does but I just don't feel it in my abs, so I'm doing a standing one on realage.com. I feel that one for sure.

Amy I'm glad you are getting the DVD. Those trampolines sounds like a lot of fun. You'll have to give us a review on how you like it.

Della it's always nice to spend time with family. Those moments are special and nothing can replace them. You got in some movement and that's great.

Didn't get a chance to see the heart specialist yet so I'm still not pushing myself on the exercising. The 45 minute video is nice and steady. No real heart pounding workout so I feel safe doing it. Until I see the specialist, I will keep my aerobic exercising down too 15 mins at a time. Haven't had to use the nitro pills yet so I feel good about it.

Della - I am a stay at home mom lol...but let me tell ya there are days I wish I worked outside the home...life might be a little less hectic !!!

I emailed the company I bought the trampoline and they are sending me a DVD YAY!!
2 days left before schools out....it's kinda a bitter sweet thing...happy b/c we can now do things on my hubby's 5 days off...but then the days he's not off the kids are gonna be board stiff! So...we'll have to find some fun stuff to do. Thankfully we have a pool so most of the days we will be swimming. Other days we can walk to our local park, get some exercise in and the kids won't even realize it LOL!! We also have a tennis court at the park so...you know what we'll be doing ;) as long as I can maybe use my left arm instead of my right with my bum elbow...

I'm bumping my exercise up today...since I have to modify it now b/c of my elbow I'm trying more cardio that doesn't effect my elbow...so hopefully I can see a good loss instead of a gain..

Wow, Carmel - way to go getting that workout time boosted up!! I know that exercise is a challenge for you so you should be so proud of yourself. Are you finding one that you are starting to enjoy more? Oh, thanks for the response about the amount of minutes - that what I was thinking too but not sure.

Oh my goodness Amy - I assumed (shame on me) that with 4 kids at home that you were a stay at home mom (certainly not an easy job) but I didn't realize you work outside the home. I'm always impressed with how much you accomplish (and that's me thinking you were home full time) but now knowing that you work outside the home also and workout and take care of the home and kids and with your new addition (Dexter) - whoo, I'm exhausted emoticon

I used to have one of those mini trampolines - my son used it more than me (but it made me happy). I was over the weight limit too. Bummer about the DVD though. I would just let Walmart know that the DVD that came with it didn't work so can you just trade out the DVD instead of hauling the trampoline back. Just a thought. Or, if you email them, I bet they will respond pretty prompt. Good girl, listening to the Dr's orders - I know it's hard but you don't want more damage to the elbow. I'll be thinking of you for the next WI!!

Honestly, yesterday, I did not get the ST in and only 20 minutes of exercise but I'm okay with that. I chose to visit with my hubby instead and it was nice. Sometimes, I feel I just need to slow down a bit and putting my hubby first was important. But today I got up and did both ST workouts (yesterday's and today's) and stepped it up with the cardio but I'm glad I'm done for today!

Let me just say I LOVED my mothers day present!!

Lol..it's nice to have THEM all wait on me once in awhile!!

I went to Walmart tonight and got one of them home mini trampoline and the workout dvd doesn't work..UGH!! So I can look on line for it, email "Golds gym" or take it back to Walmart...
However there is a weight limit on it of 250 and I'm not even close...but I'm still gonna try it to see what happens!!

I really hate not going to curves...but till I get to goo the Dr's on the 22nd I have been asked to refrain from "over using my elbow" So...it's walking and other stuff I can do at home for now...

I'm seeing the low side of the 330's and hopefully by next weigh in I will be in the 320's!! I'm so excited to see 299 it isn't even funny!!!

Well ladies...I'm so tired, it's back to day shift this week...and switching over takes me a few days...plus all it's done today was rain so that alone makes me really sleepyyy!!!

Now that sounds like a "bear" of an exercise. lol I just can't get on my knees that much and expect to get up. I keep trying though. I have moved up my exercise time to 45 minutes on Mon - Wed - and Fri...actually started it Sunday but that's my day to rest. I am liking it a little.. lol

I think they meant 200 fitness minutes period which includes all exercising so both strength and cardio. Hope so any way.

I'm headed to bed. It has been a long day and I'm hoping I can get some sleep.

Hey Ladies!

Wow, Amy, that is an awesome Mother's Day gift!! I personally would love a day of nobody (ha) no hubby or son at home to take care of - just for one day (then I'd probably be missing them about 1 hour into them being gone :)

Carmel - awesome job on the 1 pound lost! It's nice that we have each other to do the bootcamp with and here at SP to share our journey with. Some days we do overeat but it's just a day. We've all done it!

Week 3 seems to be off to a good start. I got up and did my workout (had jumping squats - so...hard...to...do) and yesterday I did a workout where you do a 'bear crawl' so basically crawling around on your hands and feet. I'm sure I looked like a real 'winner' emoticon but I could really feel it today (It's Comcast On Demand - Dave Sinclair). And I did an ab video then the one here on SP. I can't really seem to 'feel' it when I do the one here on SP except for in my neck which is too far from the abs - ha.

So, here's a question. For the weekly bootcamp drawings (not that I'd win but curious anyway) - the rules say you need to have 200 minutes a week logged in. Is that for Cardio only or Cardio plus the ST?

Keep up the great work - I'm so proud of both of you!!

Hiya girls!!

What a day!!! My hubby and kids totally surprised me today with being waited on 100%!!

I had breakfast cooked for me...
lunch cooked and served to me...
dinner cooked and served to me...
got to sit with my feet up while the kids and hubby cleaned up, did dishes, even got to watch a movie with the family tonight!!

I guess they have NO IDEA just how special I feel today...waiting on everyone everyday then finally getting "the day off" was such an awesome present!!

My oldest son even called me to wish me happy mother's day, which was a shock b/c we haven't talked since around christmas b/c of his girlfriend...

Anyway, I managed the video for the day...and that was it!!

Della - I don't envy you at all! I HATE moving!! And I have no idea how your working and doing it...I had a HECK of a time doing it when I worked...my hats off to you my friend!!

Carmel - hope you had a restful day!!

Hi ya! Thanks for the whoo hoo on the weight loss! My goal is to stay under 300 this week. This weekend I was just totally off my calories. We are still in the process of moving - it's such a terribly slow process. I work 2 jobs, volunteer at my son's school and I have been staying at my sister in laws place (whom we will be moving in with for a bit) to help her out with the kids because her hubby is out of the country for an unknown amount of time. We need to be out of apartment by the 26th so hopefully this next weekend we'll be out and then I can 'settle' a bit. But I have been getting my exercise in. I even tried some Zumba videos I found on YouTube. I'm not very good, but I'm having fun.

Isn't it great that we are 1/2 way through our bootcamp! It's such a big accomplishment to 'check' off week 2 and still be going strong. I gotta say, a couple of the toning workouts are killers though.

Did you ladies do anything special for Mother's Day?

I'm pooped and heading to bed. I'll 'see' you both tomorrow.

Aww thanks you two!! My hubby is pretty AWESOME ;)

We took Dexter on his walk again tonight...he loves it, and we even walked a little further tonight then last night!!
He is such a good little dog...I don't understand why his last owners got rid of him...he will be 6 months old on the 18th and had 1 little accident on the kitchen floor this afternoon...other then that NOTHING not even over night!!!

I'll put some pics of him on my spark page as soon as I upload them to my computer...they are on my phone now, I'll work on that tomorrow.

We walked for 52 mins -/+ and did 3.8 miles...thankfully walking fast is Dexter's favorite past time..LOL And I got today's video in...I'm seriously thinking about just doing some video's I have here at home 3 times a day for 10 minutes I can't keep up with the spring boot camp thread..LOL!!

Well I am about to pass out...I'm so sleepy! I gotten up early today so we could go to school to watch our 5 yr olds end of year thing, kinda like graduation...but it's where they sing and get rewards for things they accomplished during the year...and I have posts I gotta catch up on...so I'm off to it!!

I love animals! How sweet your hubby got you a Yorkie pup. Will you be posting any pics on your SP (or have you already)? Dogs just make great walking companions.

Carmel, I'm glad you're getting enough rest! I know, it's hard to find an exercise that seems fun but hopefully you 'click' with something. It's still not my favorite thing so I'm always looking for ways to change it up. Thank you, my legs are feeling better today but I'm glad that the ST isn't legs today (I haven't done it yet, but I'm thinking our bootcamp video today is arms).

So, I just made it out of the 300's - today's weight is 299.6 & I'll take it! My son has 4 more weeks of school so I'm hoping to be down to 292 by then and have another 15 pounds disappear over the summer.

Awww Amy, you are blessed with a very nice husband. Now you have another reason to have fun while walking. WooHoo! WTG on your exercising. It's coming along for me but I am disliking every minute of it. I have been dancing around and that is fun but still looking for movement that I can have fun with.

I got my video done for the day and I had trouble with it. I just can't get on my hands and knees so did other exercise to work my butt.

Della I hope your legs are better today. Yes I am getting plenty of rest, probably way to much.. I need a swift kick in the behind.. lol Wishing you the best in getting under 300 this week. emoticon

Well...I got 60 minutes of walking in...and the exercise of the day! I'm TIRED!!!

My hubby surprised me with a NEW addition to our family today...LOL!! He called me and told me to come meet him at work, he has to give me something...so I'm thinking OK...what could he possibly have to "give me"...
Once I get there the security guard (not sure if I told you or not but my hubby works at a Gold Mine, and they have a security guard at the entrance) tells me to come on into the little trailer they sit in all day/night...UGH, I have a million things to do I'm thinking my hubby gotta hurry up..lol well I get in there and there is this crate with a puppy in it, and the guard said...he's been waiting on you, UMMM...ok but I don't see my hubby!! He said no silly the puppy!! WHAT!! That's NOT my puppy!!! So he said...he is now!! OMG!!! the pup is a Yorkie!! I been wanting one for I don't know how long!! Then my hubby comes out and says Happy Mother's Day!! AWWWW!!! I have the best hubby in the world!!!

Here the security guard'd kids can't help take care of him anymore so he had to get rid of the poor little pup...and needless to say, with having 4 kids at home...he thought of my hubby!
So we took the little guy on his first walk tonight, and he loved it...so now, we have a new reason to get a daily (at least once a day) walk in!!

But now I'm tired...so as soon as I catch up with my other posts I'm going to bed!! I gotta get up early b/c my kindergartner has his end of the year thing at school...

Hi Carmel and Amy!

Amy - I'm like you - hate dealing with insurance - ugh. So, if it's tennis elbow, can something be done for it? I've never had that but I'm quite sure it's miserable. I'm a total wimp when it comes to pain - stub my toe and I'm down for a week (HA)! I'm amazed at how busy you are and you manage to keep getting your exercises in - good girl :)

I hope you are getting the rest that you need Carmel. When we just crash like that then you know it's a sign your body needs rest. I don't ever nap during the day so on the incredibly rare occasion that I do then I know it's what my body is telling me to do. Great job on getting your workouts in. I love getting mine done in the morning (or at least most of it) then I don't stress about making sure I get it in at the end of the day (when I just want to go to bed) and if I get more in during the day then it's just the 'icing on the cake'.

I got my workouts in this week but I gotta say my legs are just so sore - I don't know if it's the toning videos really working me or a change of workouts (cardio) but whew I am feeling it! Tomorrow is my weigh in. I feel I've had a good week so I'm hoping I make it under 300 pounds (fingers crossed). I'm off to get a (hopefully) good night sleep.

Good morning ladies,
Yesterday was an exhausting day for me. I don't know why but around one, I crashed. Just felt tired and actually went to sleep. That's pretty strange for me. I did get some sleep last night so feeling okay this morning. I'm happy I exercise most morning because I wouldn't have gotten anything in yesterday in the afternoon.

I'm off to do the exercise for the day and probably walk away the pounds. Over half way through the second week...woohoo. We're almost half way through this challenge. Glad I decided to participate but now kind of looking to when its over.. lol

Well I went to the Dr's this morning...for my elbow, and she thinks it's more of a tennis elbow thing and wants me to go for an MRI...no big deal but my elbow still hurts, thankfully it's not a nagging pain but I know it's there...
Anyway, while I was there I asked her about getting a full physical, and she agreed it would be a good idea...she wants me to do a fasting blood test physical thing next tuesday...but with health care reform...I can only get what the US task force recommends which I have no idea about! So I call the insurance company and she tells me the Dr will have a list...UGH!! Insurance frustrates me so much it ain't even funny!!
My BP was on the high side of normal...146/86 which isn't bad but I need to watch it so it doesn't get out of hand..
We got to talking about different diets, and she said weight watchers was good but DASH is better, and recommended me using that one to keep my BP under control! So, I was already checking into it anyway...so looks like I'll be jumping into the DASH way with both feet...

Delhsi - glad to know your still motivated! When life gets crazy hectic for me I tend to let exercise slide till things calm down!! GREAT JOB!!!

Carmel - Glad your feeling a little better today!!

I managed to get 45 minutes of exercise today...between trying to motivate my son to finish his painting he started in my kitchen/living room and cleaning up after him painting..and cleaning the house after 4 kids...UGH!! But I got the 30 minute walk (cardio) and the 10 minute video...YAY! Now I'm heading to bed! I'm BEAT!!

Very happy to hear from you DELHSI , I was getting worried. Moving is such a hassle but once you get settled in, it will be worth the effort. Way to go on keeping active.
No I have not had the tests yet, been trying to reach them to set it up but no return call.

You will break that record this week...we're pulling for you!

I have been modifying like crazy. Just can't do some of those moves but I feel it in the area she is working so guess I'm good.

Hope your elbow is better Amy. Keep us up on MRI result.

Hi Ladies!!

Sorry for being MIA. I am in the process of moving (not far, only 4 miles but it is such a pain - esp. the packing). I've been getting my workouts in though. The butt video was a killer and the ab one yesterday was so hard. I got up at 5:25 this morning to do my outdoor workout with my laptop but the darn thing wouldn't work. I tried to do a workout video on the tv but couldn't figure out how to work the dog gone thing so I ended out running out of time and had to get ready for the day. So, it looks like my workout will be happening this evening (finally got my PC working again). Around 6 p.m. the winds pick up so I will be doing my workout outside then.

How are you ladies doing? Amy how is your elbow and Carmel have you had your echo done yet, how are you feeling?

Great job for keeping up and thanks for continuing to post. I will do better this week with my posting! Oh, I'm at 300.6 pounds. I'm so excited because I am almost under that 300 pound mark - here's hoping this is the week to break that record!!!

Thanks Dusty, I'm feeling much better and easing back into my regular routine. Glad your BP is stable.

Amy I hope the doctor give you something to alleviate the elbow pain. You are doing great with the exercising in spite of it but I bet you will be happier without the pain. I need to get some cleaning done around here also so today is the day. I did little pieces of exercise through the day yesterday. Just couldn't bring myself to do a long session. I modified the heck out of the ab video and also did the arm video. I had a total of 33 minutes for cardio and did a sitting version of the kick boxing because I didn't do it on Sunday.

Gosh what a scary thing! Glad you listened to your body and went to the ER tho...
I'm going to talk to the Dr tomorrow about getting some blood tests done too...I want to get a complete physical and then compare it to when I lose weight to see how far I've come...and I also need to get my BP checked...I use to be on BP meds but went off them b/c I couldn't afford them anymore...long story short I didn't have insurance at the time and the out of pocket price was crazy...but now my hubby has good insurance and I can get back on them if need be, but hopefully not ;)

It's always good to err on the side of caution and to get tests done. I'm glad you're feeling better this morning. Something similar happened to me several weeks ago and it took me a while to calm back down. I also had to start taking HP pills and even though I don't like them my blood pressure is back down.

Thank you Amy, Yes Dusty, I started having pain around 4pm in the middle of my chest and then started to have pain in my left chest and arm. It was so scary so had my son take me to the ER. The EKG came back normal but one of my numbers (haven't a clue what she was talking about) was a little higher than the ER doctor liked so she admitted me for observation. They took the same test several times throughout the night and the next couple of times it was normal. I'm not sure If I pulled a muscle or what is going on. A few minutes after they gave me the nitro pill, the pain subsided. The on call Doctor was very nice and didn't make me feel like I was crazy. He said that even though the ekg was good, I should see a specialist and have other tests done just to be sure. Started the HBP pill and the cholesterol pill last night, will go get the nitro pill and medicine for acid reflux later today. I think a lot of my problem was I was so scared. I'm feeling better this morning and will ease back into my regular routine today.

Carmel - OMG!! Are you ok?? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take it easy, if that's what the Dr's said!!

I got in a 45 minute walk and the boot camp workout for today for 52 minutes total, I wasn't gonna walk but thought what the heck...I even went grocery shopping so I had a good day...

I gotta call the Dr myself tomorrow, for about 2 months now my right elbow has been KILLING me, I can't pick anything up...not even a 1/2 gallon of milk! I think I might have bursitis so I'm gonna make a Dr appointment to get it checked out before it gets worse...UGH!!! I HATE going to the Dr's!!!

Well I'm off here after I catch up on some other posts...

Good afternoon,
It's a good thing I got my workout in earlier yesterday and I had to go to the hospital last night and kept me over night. Just getting home...ready to make myself comfortable. Have to see the cardiologist next week and get an echo-cardiogram. Send up some prayers for me for good results.

Not doing any exercising today but will continue tomorrow. Hope each of you are having a nice Sunday.

HI GIRLS!!!

OMG was it just me or was the Butt blasting video KILLER!!!?? OUCH!!! I'm still sore from my walk around the neighborhood maybe that's why the Butt video whooped my butt literally!!

Carmel - thank you for the bday wishes for my hubby I'll be shore to tell him ;) I too am a sweet freak lol!! That's why I REFUSE to bake anything that's gonna sit around my house...b/c I can't stop at one...I bought a SMALL bday cake for my hubby sent 3 pieces to work with him, gave the kids each a BIG piece and had 1 small piece...there was about 1/4 of the cake left...last night when I went to bed, and when I got up this am there was a small piece and I had 1/2 of the small piece...which is OK! Before I woulda ate a lot more then 2 small pieces!!

Delhsi - how has your last 2 days been with the workouts with boot camp? We're missing your posts!!

Well today since I am still sore...which I think I'm sorer if that's possible...I got:

Good morning,

I did the Pilates one also. Gave it the best I could and was happy. It's good that you were able to have a piece of cake. (Happy belated birthday to your husband) I'm a sweetaholic and right now I just try to stay away from sweets. I know one day though I will be able to have that one piece and be satisfied but until then I'm taking it one day at a time.
I can do a walk a way the pounds video and my knees do not hurt but when I walk, after walking a few minutes, my knees start bothering me. I must be using different muscles or when I walk, I may have bad poster...I'm working on it.

Missed DELHSI yesterday. Hope all is okay with you.

Congratulations to all of us completing our first week. WooHoo....We did it!

Hope everyone had a great day..

Carmel - the exercise for me was that Pilates one...UGH!! I'm so sore today from my walk yesterday!! When I walk outside the next day or two my shins hurt like crazy!! But I can do a 3 mile walk away the pounds with no problems..Wonder why it's like that!!
Lol, I like that SICK term ;)

Well today was my hubby's b-day and yes I had cake and even ate a piece and was still under my cals by 65!!

Howdy ladies!!

I had a pretty good day today...I was planning on playing on the WII then got upset with my mother and went on a walk around our neighborhood instead, I had to clear my head! She thinks she was the best mother in the world and deserves the mother of a life time award...when in reality she SUCKED!! And she likes to find every flaw she can in my parenting...UGH!!!
Anyway Carmel - I agree with you about getting lost in the boot camp thread!! I tried to get active on that one and just can't!!

Delhsi - I gotta keep my workouts interesting b/c I get BOARD easily and want to give up!! I bet the water felt good on ya after working up a sweat!! I bet I woulda been yelling in surprise..LOL!!

Well today I ended up getting...

After my walk around our neighborhood I was so hot...I went in the house got on some swimming clothes and jumped in our pool...it was a bit cold but it felt good! It was about 84* when I was walking so I enjoyed the pool!
On a different note...
Last year I bought a baiting suit that would not no way no how fit...it is a 2x or an 18/20 and last year I was BUSTING the seems of a 24/26...well I got it on even got it up but it's still just too tight to be comfy in yet! BUT from not being able to get it past my knees last year to being able to get it on and almost wear...I'm LOVING IT!!! I will be wearing it by July I SWEAR!! If not I will be wearing it by Aug when we go to the Beach my hubby doesn';t know about yet...LOL!!
I told him I wanted to go to the beach since it's been YEARS since we went and we only live about 150 miles from Myrtle Beach...and I am planning a trip for late Aug before the kids go back to school so I have PLENTY of time to get a little skinnier ;)

OK off here now...or I'd ramble all night ;)

Thank you for starting this topic. I get lost on the boot-camp thread so I'm glad to have a nice quiet place to get and give support. I got my workout in early also. I see where they say you can start any day but I started on Sunday so its Sunday - Saturday for me. I have to modify all the exercises but I do feel the burn so I guess its okay. Looking forward to trying on an outfit I'm using to gage my inches lost and the scale for pounds. Glad you had a good day. Keep up the good work and thanks again.

Hi Ladies,

You both are doing great! Amy you got a lot in today and a lot of variety! Carmel - I love your analogy of exercise is like taking medicine for now! You know it's good for you but it doesn't 'taste good' - ha!

I've been getting up every morning at 5:30 or 5:45 to do my workout outside. I was at my sister in laws last night and got up at 5:30, took the laptop outside and found out the sprinklers come on at that time - ha! Fortunately, I was able to stay on the patio and not get wet but the wind turned the water into a mist for me - helped keep me cool (even though it was only 46 outside, but it felt great for exercise)

Personally, I found today's ab workout so challenging. I had to modify a bit. Gotta support my neck. I noticed they already have next week's workouts available. The challenge goes from Sundays to Saturdays, right? Or did I mess it up?

Another great day! Thank you both for posting on here - it is such a huge encouragement. I look forward to coming and seeing how you are doing.

Carmel - AWW thank you! Believe me, it's not always easy!! I just break the time up, it took me FOREVER to realize that I will get the same results (30, 60 or 90 minutes) in 10 minutes segments. and it doesn't make me feel like the time is never gonna end!

I gotta get to my workout too, I'd like to do it before the kids get home at 2:20...but I think I'm pushing it today...I might have to wait till after 4 now till my hubby leaves for work.

Hello ladies, It's been a very interesting day. Got an early start with the toning video and went to realage.com to get another core exercise. I have a hard time with that area's moves. The one on real age is a standing up one and it really work my abs. As the day went on, I had to force myself to get in the 30 minutes aerobics this afternoon and I did break it up in increments. One of these days I'm going to like moving but until then...I have to take my exercising medicine.. lol

Della - I have ALWAYS thought that if I didn't do all my exercise at once it wasn't worth my time...I am really finding this spring boot camp challenge VERY HELPFUL!! I can get 10 minutes here 15 minutes there with NO PROBLEMS!!

Carmel - I was just like you!! If I didn't get up get my 45 to 90 minutes of exercise in first thing...I made every excuse in the world to NOT do it as the day went on...I'm learning tho with this challenge we can do 10 minutes at a time, it's a lot easier for me that way!!

Della, I swear I have 4 of every type of exercise things...I have resistance bands, stretchy bands (they came with my walk away the pounds dvd's) exercise balls, free weights...and mostly they sit around and collect dust!! My goal is to use at least 1 of my pieces a week till I've used all of them!!!

Wow, Amy, you really got a lot of exercise in!! Good idea 'walking' while wathcin Biggest Loser. I'm sure it makes the time fly by.

I know how it goes, Carmel. Mentally, I did not want to work out today so getting it done this morning really helped me stay on track and now I can just go on with the rest of my day.

I don't have the resistance bands so I had to switch up the videos a bit.

I think when the 4 weeks are done - we are going to feel great!

Got the toning video done but having a hard time getting myself moving for the cardio today. If I don't do it this morning, chances are I won't get it done so better give myself a swift kick in the behind and move it!. Have fun bootcampers! :)

I took my laptop to the living room (that's where we have air conditioning) and did 2 of the challenge workouts, yesterdays and todays..a 1 mile walk away the pounds while watching the biggest loser and I even got to play in the yard with the kids and hubby for about 45 minutes before I got to hot, so I got 80 minutes in today! YIPPY...lol!!

Great job ladies!! Yeah, some of the exercises are challenging so I do modify them as needed. I've been getting up early to do at least 20 minutes of cardio and then the daily strength video. I've been taking my laptop outside to do the workouts - it's a lot of fun and much cooler outside at 5:45 in the morning emoticon
