I use the Wii Fit Free Run almost every day now that its winter. I think its awesome that they added it into the cardio section of the 'my Fitness.' My concern is how does it know how fast or slow you were running during this time? I average between 4.4-4.8 miles in the 20 minute Free Run. I'm quite sure that I burn more than the 87 calories it says I burned on the SP Free Run cardio. During the Spring/Fall I run outside quite frequently and try to run for at least 4.5-5 miles, and usually average a time between 18-24 minutes. Do you think I should stick to what I "believe" is correct and what the Wii says, or should I use the actually SP Free Run cardio calculator?
They've actually been there for quite some time. If you have a HRM, I highly suggest tracking your own burn, though. I find mine is usually higher than what SP estimates. Definitely a great thing for those who don't have a way to monitor, though!
