I saw the ad for this game announced on the Biggest Loser this week and bought it that night. It was sold out on the NBC site but a web search turned up another vendor. I tried it today and it is now my favorite home workout game. I have Wii Fit, Gold's Gym (which I love a lot), EA Sports (the jumping squats/lunges put me on the injured list), Daisy Fuentes Pilates (okay workout but boring), and Jillian Michaels (UGH).
The BL workout kept my HR pounding and the sweat pouring. It uses the balance board about 50% of the time. It tracks your weight, asks for caloric input, generates a workout that runs without a lot of remote clicking and has weigh-ins and challenges like the t.v. show (which I haven't gotten to). The exercises (for day 1 anyway) were basic but the pace kept you moving and I'm definitely feeling the burn even from the "beginner" level. There was a optional warm-up and cool-down which I did which ended up being a 55 min workout. The cool-down consisted of stretching & yoga moves and I apparently wasn't holding the remote properly to have it register a calorie burn. It has an area to enter additional outside workouts.
I plan on using this program daily for a while, supplementing with EA sports ala carte for strength training and Gold's Gym for the fun. I'm debating getting the Wii Fit upgrade because I do use the yoga and balance games there and my (grown kids and DH like it).
