Thanks for the tip on the extenders; although, I like seeing the number lower than it really is. I'm going to put them on and not tell my daughter. She comes down every afternoon so the boys can get in the pool and she can work out. I'm going to love hearing her response when the weight is more accurate!!! Ha!

I have an even better one, I got the Wii starter kit with the neoprene cover & when I got on it said I lost 20 lbs from the previous day. Boy did that confuse the computer. Then I took it off & redid my body test so that it would be accurate & confused it even more. I like the cover, but I want it to be accurate, any ideas on how to deal with that? I use the extenders also since I do my workout on carpet or a yoga mat.

May God help me do this, for I don't have the strength to do it alone!

I put the extenders on this morning. It did fix the discrepancy (and my poor little Mii gained 11.7 lbs...)

I had to laugh at the robot - "Do you have any idea why you've gained 11.7 lbs?" and it lists a bunch of food-related options "I eat to fast", "Late Night Snacking", etc. I clicked "I don't know" and it came back with "Are you SURE you have no idea?" I know exactly why, you silly robot, you just aren't giving me an option for "changed the surface under the balance board"!

I use the extenders are mine as well as I found I needed them even though we have a shorter carpet. I do find it accurate. I get very close to the same weight of my bathroom scale and any difference is consistent from one weight to another and is likely due to my clothes weight being entered to the nearest lb.

I added the feet on to mine as I use mine on carpet as well and it is pretty accurate.

I found I got a much more accurate weight when I used the extenders, even though my carpet is not a high pile.

Hi all,

I noticed today that the balance board is recording a much different weight than my scale - the Wii says I weigh more 10 lbs less than my bathroom scale (I think it's about 168 vs. 180 - in my workout clothes). Has anyone else noticed this? I am using the board on carpet, but I didn't think it was enough to interfere with the board (haven't used the extenders).

Ideas? Or am I just overthinking (as usual!)?
