Hi! Just want to let you all know that I realize that the suggested amount of steps each day is 10000. Also, I do have a FitBit that keeps count of Steps Taken and other things. The reason I lowered my Steps per Day count is that right at the present time, I find that much more doable and as I said, before, I do plan on upping it as I progress. I did reach 10000 steps a few times but more often I didn't. At least when I have set it to 5000, I can relax about it and reach the goal I've set a little more often. And not feel quite so discouraged! I hope you can understand where I'm coming from here. emoticon

Thank you so much. That reall helps me out a great deal. I need to start over and recaluate my steps so that it would be right, since I stopped using it a few days ago. So I will start up again next week and go from there.
Does any one have any ideas on how to cut back on caffine? I am trying to do it by drinking tea, and flavored water but I am not very good at sticking with it. I get board with my drinks and I need do something since I am not really supposed to have fruits and fruit juices beacuse of the acid in them hurts my teeth. So any suggestions, tricks, ideas area welcomed. Thank you .

It is recommended for your health to walk at least 10,000 steps a day. A good way to find a place to start is to track your steps for a week or two to find your daily average, and then you can add a little at a time to get your steps where you want them to be. I have a Fitbit so it automatically resets itself at midnight, but when I had a pedometer I reset it every day after recording my steps.

Question about setting goals for steps? What is the actual number of steps you are supposed to walk daily? What would be a great start goal for steps? Should I reset my steps daily or just keep adding to them to see how much I can walk throughout the week? Just wanted to know! Thank you

That is a great plan. Start with a doable goal and raise it when you are successful. emoticon

Sounds like a good plan. As you said if you make your goal lower, you can always do more and then when you get to that goal you can always increase it. Sometimes short term goals are better.\ emoticon

Believe in yourself and you can lose it!!!!

Hi! I did have my Steps goal set to 10000 steps per day but have lowered it to 5000 steps per day. I have gotten to 10000 a few times but usually not. I think if I lower it, then maybe I can do it more consistently and will increase it as time goes. emoticon
