I feel that I never hugged my mom enough and now she is an angel looking down at me. One of her favorite songs is "His eye is on the Sparrow". Why do I feel discouraged? Why do the shadows come? And why does my heart feel lonely and long for heaven and home when Jesus is my portion. A constant friend is He. His eye is on the Sparrow and I know he watches me. Lesson learned is take the time to love the ones around you. Hug often

My Mother-in and -Law was like that and sadly her family got annoyed with her and that made her not only sad but afraid. As I lived close by I was there every day and she would ask the same things over and over again. Eventually she could not recall who people were even her Husband, she would say 'I don't know who he is but he is here every day I rather fancy him' She had a thing about counting things so sometimes I would give her things to count as she watched me prepare a meal. When she was in hospital towards the end and she could not recall anyone at all I would hold her hand and let her talk, at the very end she was unable to speak at all but I sat there just the same holding her hand and talking to her, she would smile at me and I knew she had no clue as to who I was, but I knew who she was. All she needed was love and when you love someone and realise they cannot help what is happening to them patience is easy to find even if you do feel a little frustrated at times. I posted the video on my Facebook page everyone should see this it is a powerful message.
OMG, okay, you have me crying now. Patience is so very important no matter what the situation. Just learned to be aware of what is being asked ... even if the question seems to make no sense. Thank you for sharing this
be authentically you... it's journey, not a one day hike.
