Ok. 20 pounds lost and I THINK I am ready to start going to the Y. I'm not sure where to begin.Does anyone know if the Y offers classes for those trying to lose weight? (i.e. nutrition, support, pow wows).
What time of day is best to avoid the crowds?

I have been a member for decades. I really am impressed with everything they have to offer. All YMCA are not the same as far as the staff and the overall atmosphere. Just spent 60 minutes in the pool this week. It was heavenly.
I like everything about our new YMCA but the problem lies in me. I keep telling myself I will go when I lose some weight. I feel like everyone is staring at me because I am so overweight.Anyone else feel this way? I really want to start working out there on a regular basis.
