Hi everyone! I am trying to re-energize the RR's again...any advice on that would be totally welcomed:-) I did start a thread to restart our Mojo if any of you want to post:-)

Tonight was a fun one, Josh was Dori, and Missy was a vampire:-) Joshs costume was made for kids form 4-6, so you can imagine how interesting it was to get on him:-)

Hope you had an amazing Halloween:-)

Hugs,
Trish

HI. Our new kittens are doing just fine. One of them is a little scared still but he will get over it. The other, well, he just LOVES attention:). And the brush.

Well decided I wasn't working over time today my sanity is too important to me. I can go in and knock myself out only to have my boss shrug her shoulders and give me another report to work through. Instead I went for a walk first thing this morning. It was the deal I made with myself before getting out of bed. You can skip OT but you have to take a walk then. LOL!!! It was sprinkling when I started so I went a bit faster than I usually do whew I was tired. Plus I didn't eat anything before I left because I didn't want to activate any systems if you know what I mean. LOL!!! That might have been a mistake too. Should have had some cheese or a bit of peanut butter on a cracker just something. So day one is in the books.

Just returned my new running shoes, the heel cup was poking through the inner liner. OUCH! A new pair has been ordered. Sigh. No running for my until they arrive as I have no other sneakers of any sort.
Oh well. Happy weekend all:)

HI!!!!
This has been a busy week for me. I offered to have the family over for MIL's birthday dinner so that is Saturday. So, LAST Saturday I decided to repaint the hallway bathroom. It was a Home Depot orange~I loved it for a couple of years then it started blinding me. So, I spent Saturday night and about 3 hours on Sunday painting. The guy at the paint store told me "This primer will just need one coat and this paint will just need one coat." BOO!!! I looked at him odd and found out my hunch was truer: 2 coats of each and I'm not a weenie when it comes to slathering on paint. Anyway, it's a moonlight yellow now and much easier on the eyes.
Doris- that wrist sounds painful but I hope it is healing well.
Kirsten- Wahoo! party!! You got all your stuff replaced? Blah!! What a bummer you had to.
Monte- you have a very healthy and doable mindset and a fellow Rookie just told me , "Move your body and fuel your body properly." That's the key.
Today is another busy day-I got in a short early morning walk today and after running my 8 and 14 yr olds to the orthodontist, I am hoping for a gym workout. I'm thinking tomorrow will have time for a run and I'm excited about that!
Have a great weekend, Team!

Thank goodness Doris!! I was so worried about you guy:-) Sounds like a very busy time for you - glad things are going well with work. Glad they caught the bone spur, and the fact that you are running again:-) Ouch about the running shoes - hope your new ones are much better:-)

Today is Don's b'day, so it is a lot tough for all of us. Had a good workout with my trainer, but she knew I was off...didn't want to tell her why.

Hugs!

HI. Team. Boy, did life get crazy for a while......we adopted two feral kittens. One is no longer feral. He loves attention and toys. The other is just starting to come around. I had wrist surgery, pretty unexpectedly. Went to the Dr for tendonitis in my thumb, an x-Ray showed a pretty big bone spur that was actually tearing the tendon. No wonder it hurt! Stitches came out Monday. I bought new running shoes, ran two races in them and then realized that the left one is defective, hence the HUGE blister. I am taking them back to the store for a new pair.
Let me see, oh, I took a full time teaching job, physics and chemistry. That is keeping me pretty busy plus I have 154 kids and they seem to want to stay after school and just hang out.
I am getting some running in but no more until I get replacement sneaks. Sheesh.
How is everyone?

Life is fragile. Love, laugh and enjoy.

Hey everyone,

Holy busy work day, finished up around 8:30 pm....tomorrow hitting the gym with my trainer. I have confirmed 2 races for next year. The Whistler 1/2, and the OIM half...maybe more, but those are my coming back races. I walked a bunch of them over the past few years, but am working towards running these ones:-)

Nice that you got some relax time in Nera!

Sounds like party time is gonna be fun Kirsten:-)

Hugs,
Trish

Well, that cost me a fortune! But, I'm back on the 'road' - sigh.
I spent a little time on the couch last night too, Nera. Sometimes it's what's needed.
Monty, I didn't realize you lived in FLA - and right down the road from my sister!
Trish, good on 'ya for getting so much working out done!
Busy week, but short. Three shifts at the hospital and one at my respite job and then it's HALLOWEEN PARTY TIME!!

I spent the whole evening on the couch. First watching the MN Wild lose to the NJ Devils. Then watching the final event of the regular season for the PBR. That went until almost midnight. I should have skipped it as all the top riders fell off and there were no changes in the standings. Today is house cleaning grocery shopping. Two things I have come to really detest.

I found a comment on another blog that really resonates with me. It is the formula for happiness: something to do, something to look forward to, someone to love. After I read it I thought can life really be that simple and you know I think it is.

I play mind games all the time in the lifestyle. But, most of the time, they're based on common sense.

I always hear about how others hate running. Because I wasted 40 years in obesity, (I can say that. ;-D ) I love the fact that I can call myself a runner. I'm blessed each opportunity I'm on a run. In my head, I know my run is a part of the healthy equation which includes fueling clean as a secret of success. Add strength training and you have a powerful formula!
This last Run Club, I ran with a Teammate and her pup. We talked (& gossiped) the whole time. That will give you a great breathing pace and fun in your run. Embrace your run, never dread it. It's adding years to your life!

Hey all,
Another iffy day, but at least I got a 1.5 hour walk in. Tomorrow I am hitting the gym with my trainer...should be fun:-) Missy is heading to the British Columbia Leadership Conference tomorrow...so proud of her, she is such a beautiful person:-)

Kirsten, that really stinks, some people just need to have their gas tanks emptied so they get stranded like they left you!!

Sis, I so loved seeing the Ragnar photos and stories!! You are doing really well! hugs:-)

Hey, ya'll!!! I'm glad to see that you're all doing well. I am not here much but I should be since most of my old time pals are still in here. emoticon
I'm still running a few days a week, lifting weights.
I had an all women Ragnar team for Michigan the end of September- there were 4 of us Rookie Runners on it!!! Who says you can't meet great friends online? (My hubby might think I'm a loonie.)
Take care , everyone and have a great week!
Kirsten- THAT SUCKS!!!! Who would do that? and what are the chances that whoever stole it will actually be able to USE the stuff? No doubt he will sell it. (she?) Grrrr.... I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

Great stuff, you two! Well done.

I'm having a crappy start to my week (I know, Tuesday was the start of this week - lo!!) My gym bag was stolen out of my car. Now I have to get new running shoes, bathing suit, arm band, hair dryer... It sucks! Sometimes people really suck. Here I am holding hands, helping, wiping butts, slogging through tough nights at work and some jerk steals stuff that is worth NOTHING to anyone else but is my only link to mental and physical well-being. Nice.

Otherwise, great week! lol!!!

... Trish is still up!
No, I haven't heard anything from Doris. It's been bugging me. We're not FB friends either, so I haven't been able to really check up on her either.. Hope to hear something soon.

Hey all,

Today I watched Missy play ringette with the U19 team (she is 15)...she did very well, actually likely the best defense of the group. After we went to my girlfriends for hair cuts. Tomorrow I am going to try to do a fun workout:-) I'll let you know how it goes!!

Thanks Monty!! I will get there for sure...this year is my comeback:-) Very cool that you are rocking out the miles, and that you are enjoying the ride!

Another pretty good, long day:-)

Missy had the Kelowna Cup today. Her team did not score at all today:-( Oh well, they lost their first one 1-0. The second one went 90 minutes with no scores, an additional 2 15 minute frames with no scores...onward to the shootout. Missy won that 2-0...so proud of her:-)

Josh's game was interesting...obviously the kids have not played a ringette game in a LONG time:-) He had 44 shots on him, and our team only managed 14 on the other team. We lost the game, but it showed a lot of coaching opportunities.

Did a 7.75 km walk while Monkey was warming up and playing his game:-)

Have a great Sunday!

Hey all,
Had a goodish day...dentist was on the docket...LOL! Good news is my "pockets" were way less deep than they were on the last checkup. Didn't do a whole lot in the way of working out. Tomorrow we have a soccer tournament, and a ringette game:-)

Kirsten, give me deets my friend!! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!!

Mirage...yayyy for a painless run month that is absolutely wonderful!!

Because my wing is messed up, I think that I will take the next month to work on getting my butt back in the running saddle...

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Just off of 7 in a row and I'm exhausted! Time to catch up on sleep, housework, shopping, exercise... eek!

Trish, I've got to get you on the juice wagon, don't I? It's a lifesaver for workout fuel. Let me know if you want any deets... I'm just finishing up 5 days of Jason Vale's latest program. Love it!

Nera, ah, kids.

Hey all,

Suezette and Beth are fine..Thankfully the storm didn't hit with as much force as was expected. Still worried about Doris though. Hope she will check in soon.

Workout today was good...I was VERY undernourished for it though. My trainer ended up giving me crackers so I could get over the hump..Hope that tomorrow is a good one.

Oh Nera, I'm sorry...I have also been on the losing end of my kidlets choices...LOL Hope you have a great day tomorrow!!

I have a friend from work that I could probably walk with at least on the weekends. Right now sitting on the couch feeling sorry for myself because my son was suppose to be home so we could watch the opening of the MN Wild's season(hockey). He has chosen to hang with his friend instead. That is because Mom doesn't drink and his friend does. And hey who wouldn't choose their friend over their Mom. See deep pity pool. Time to get out and dry off. LOL!!!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!

I popped down to Utah for a couple of days last week and I've worked every day since. I'm exhausted. One more shift to go and I can relax for a couple of days.

Here's a quick pic of our trip - hiking in the mountains at 6,000 feet elevation sure kicked my butt!!

Hey all,

We celebrated Thanksgiving over the weekend - it was nice. My Mom hasn't been to my place in about 7 years, so it was a bit of an interesting time, but it went well. Josh is still sporting a 100 degree fever when he doesn't have tylenol on board. It has been since Saturday, so I give him one more day before I take him in. Guess it wasn't just the energy drink:-)

Nera, LOL about the workout budget:-) Pen has similar issues as she lives in Calgary. It is hard to get motivated sometimes when you are doing it by yourself. Do you have friends that you can ask to go walking? I started a group on facebook, and now hike with 8 people, only 2 of which I new before.

Have a fantastic week:-)

Oh Trish I am sorry to hear about Josh. Those energy drinks are nasty and since they are pretty much straight caffenine they can be hard on people. I hope he feel better soon.

Trish I live in Minnesota that means no mountains. There are a couple of places 2 hours away that offer some huge river bluffs but my husband says I can't call them mountains LOL!!! To get to real honest to goodness mountains I have to fly west a couple of hours to the Rockies. Hard to fit in to a daily exercise plan or my budget. LOL!!!!

Actually for the condition I am in the hills around the Mississippi river are big enough. I just can't get the energy to go and I hate doing it alone. Hubby and son don't have any interest in walking usually.

Josh is pretty sick tonight, hoping he feels better really soon! He stayed at a friends house where he had a couple of energy drinks. He experienced his heart racing, really bad headache, and high fevers after. He will never have another one of them for sure.

Happy thanksgiving to all Canadian Rookies, and hugs and love to you all.

It's too bad you don't have a place to go hike close to you. How far are you to the mountains?

Had a great workout today, did a lot of sitting for work as well so hope it trades off:-)

I wish I had a place to hike or the time during the day to go somewhere to hike. Walking around the neighborhood is kind of boring.

Nera, Glad your sinus issue is moving in the right direction.

Had a bit of a pity party over the weekend. Shoulder got reinjured, so no upper body for the foreseeable future. Today I did a good 1/2 hour workout, and tomorrow I have an hour with my trainer, and another 1.5 hour hike, so all good. Over the past 3 weeks, I have lost 6.75 lbs, and 14.5 inches...I consider that a huge win:-)

How are you guys doing?

Starting to get over the sinus issue but seriously mornings are the worse. Sound like an old dude who has smoked 5 packs a day for 40 years. LOL. But once I get a cup of tea going and some steam to loosen it up I sound close to normal again.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun one. I can't lift weights with my left arm right now, so have decided to do a ton of fun hikes over the next few weeks. Hoping to do a 2 hour one tomorrow, along with watching Missy's soccer game.

Hope you all had a great Friday!!

Hey all,
Tonight I am going through band scores with Josh as his teacher asked for input on music...felt like old times:-) Tomorrow I get to hit the doc to see why it is that my shoulder hurts whenever I move...boo!! I rested it for 3 months, and after 2.5 weeks back at it, it is very unhappy. Missy had an orthodontist appointment today, so about $6000 going down to help her bite and teeth - yikes!!

Nera, I hope your sinus issue gets cleared quickly! I remember when I first used the netti pot...I was like, seriously??? You want me to do what?? It works though.

Have a wonderful Thursday:-)

Hugs,
Trish

Hey everyone!

Had a really interesting hike yesterday. Should have been a 2.5 hour one, ended up being 4 hours. Just about 150 flights of stairs:-) We kinda got lost on the way down as it was a loop. Ended up being coached by people in their backyard as to what way was the best. Apparently we were walking in the "bear den", and they weren't kidding...yikes!! It was pretty sketchy getting down...like super steep shale hill, with very steep drop-offs...Oh well, we got it done:-)

Today I did a whole ton of professional development seminars - oh what fun:-)

Tomorrow I have a date with my trainer at the gym. After that, we are doing a hike up Boucherie mountain.

Hugs to you all!!

Sorry, I don't check in here regularly enough to keep up-to-speed with all the chat! I damaged the fourth toe of my right foot by simply stubbing it on a rock on the beach when I was walking barefoot. I reckon I must have chipped or cracked the most distal metatarsal - it's taken 6 weeks to heal enough to run again. I can still feel the spot when I do certain yoga movements which require me to press down with my toes. But it's definitely mending. I've been out for some short, 2-mile, walk/runs.

Over here, we are getting relentless rain at the moment - so at least one set of kit is on the line, soaking wet! Fortunately it's not too cold though, so the rain is not too much of a deterrent to going for a run.

Boo for the flu! My dd had it on Friday. I missed half a day at work as hubby was MIA emoticon She recovered quickly but I ended up sleeping the entire afternoon and evening. Guess I had some catching up to do! Missed boot camp yesterday but had a killah workout this morning. Er. yesterday morning? Ugh. Night shifts...

Lovely on a 2 hour lunch and chat - sounds super nice.

Running in the morning after work. I'll do it on the dreadmill for now but I hope to get out on the road this week. Just have to suss out the routes...

I'm heading to Utah on Friday to visit family. I'll be there on my birthday so I'm on the lookout for an interesting place for my annual birthday run. I'm hoping somewhere desert-y and mountain-ish will present itself.

Happy Sunday Rookies! Have a good one.

Hey all,
Today's workout with Sharon was awesome! Did my measurements, and am down 7.5 inches over the past week as well...(likely some measurement issues, but I will take it). Tomorrow I will be hitting the gym for a "I have no idea what I will do" workout:-)

Kirsten, nicely done on the loss!! Sounds like the classes are definitely a win! Cool about your swimming and running improvements. Hope your schedule gets a lot tamer soon!!

Wow Trish, scary about the snake!! My dd tried to step OVER a pygmy rattlesnake when we were in Florida (and my sister nearly stepped ON the darn thing!). I'm not afraid of snakes, but a healthy concern is important! So glad you're safe! And way to go on the loss.

I'm down 7 pounds since I restarted. Two pounds this week. I started going to the community centre bootcamp and other ST classes and doing a combo swim then run on the treadmill thing that I'm really enjoying. No, I'm not going to do any triathalons in the near future, but my swimming is slowing improving and it is a FANTASTIC warmup before a run. I wish I could get outside and take advantage of the cooler fall weather, but I'm still nervous about how my tummy will take it. For now, I'll just stick with the treadmill. The lower effort means it's less of a workout, but it keeps me comfortable. I'm up to running at 5 mph for about 35 minutes at a time. It feels good!!

Nera, I meant to type Doris and the surprise job! lol! Surprise - I still have this job!!! Hilarious!! I'm sorry you burned your boob and even sorrier about how hard I laughed about that. Are you ok? Pizza burns are the worst!

I haven't found the reset button yet. In fact, things went from busy to CRAZY to INNNNSANNNE this week. Work is hard, hard, hard on a good day and bad days are impossible. I had splotchy face once this week too, Nera. I've started training on three new units so I may be able to control my schedule a little better in the future (I realize that sounds counterintuitive... it works though!) I'm in the stroke unit and rehab/acute medical now, I've trained in palliative care last week and tomorrow I train in the geriatric behaviour (mental health and dementia) unit and next week I will take a shift in mental health. It sounds nuts, but doing this I will be able to cluster my shifts together and take fewer last minute call ins. It's good. And more money! lol!

I still don't have my own computer so I'm rushing... my son is driving me nuts in the background here and I'm reaching my limit of being able to tune him out!!! I hope you are all enjoying the first day of Fall!

(((hugs)))

Had a great hike with my friend...it was so beautiful, but on the way down, we surprised a rattle snake, who coiled and was ready to strike. Thankfully Ev and her dog got by, and I took an alternate route around it. Tomorrow is another fun time with my trainer.

Hey all,
Today was a good one in general:-) Did an hour workout with my trainer, another 1/2 hour on the recumbent, then a 1.5 hour hike in the evening with a dear friend. Checked my weight...down 3 lbs in the last week. Finally committing is a good thing. Hopefully things keep moving in the right direction:-)

Hope you are all doing well!

Hey all,
Well, today I did a bunch of exercise...walked to and from the gym...8 + K, then a kick boxing workout, and also 30 mins of ST. Tomorrow I have an hour with my trainer...we will see how I feel.

Nera, LOL...yeah, that wouldn't be a great addition to conversation!!

Hope you all have a great Tuesday.

I am suppose to get a call from the general manager tomorrow we will see if he even calls. Pretty funny at work when people asked what I did over the weekend. I really couldn't say well I burned my boob would you like to see? LOL!!!!

Started on a quilt top for a lady at work who found out her sister has stage 4 colon cancer. I had no ideas what colors she liked so I just picked out some I liked but which weren't quite my wild bold color choices I usually use. Not everyone like purple and green in vivid bright jewel tones. LOL!!!!

Hey all, Monkey finished his tryouts for ringette today, and played an AMAZING game against the U19 team. Back to school/work tomorrow, where did the weekend go??

Nera, ouch about the burn, dang girl!! I ALWAYS spill on myself, can't quite figure out how to feed myself obviously:-)

Tomorrow is going to be a good one - have to do a 4 hour professional development seminar, then a couple of fun workouts.

Have a great week!!

I told her later I came close to strangling her with the strings on my back pack. LOL!!!! Both of us are trying to get more active after sliding backwards for awhile.

I too have a tough time interviewing. One of the reasons I haven't left my current job is I just can't face doing the interview process.

Now in the category it can only happen to me. Hubby and I went out for pizza last night. Very first bite the pizza sort of breaks apart. Toppings land on my lip and the crust kind of caves. That cause the sauce to go falling down the front of my shirt. But I had decided to wear a narrow v-neck top instead of a t-shirt so the sauce lands on bare skin right on the top of my boob. LOL!!!!! I wipe it off right away but discover later that the sauce was hot enough to burn my skin. I now have a little more than an inch long blister about a finger width wide on my chest. Can you believe when I told the manager on duty that I had burned myself with their food they didn't even give us a free dessert!!! I guess I will have to go with my friend's suggestion and wear a big when I eat. LOL!!! And I would really recommend that you don't burn the skin on your boob because it hurt like a beyotch for most of the night. LOL!!!

Hey everyone!

Another busy one for me. Monkey had the wakeboard competition, and also ringette evaluations for the Kelowna team. Both went well, he should make the Kelowna A team, but likely won't because we are from West Kelowna.

Missy had a soccer game today, and they ended up tying the match...team broke down a little in the second half...second game back after the summer break blues:-)

Skirner, hope that you get some solid leads for work soon! Nice that you may have found something in the interim. Sounds like your son is having a good time at college, wish him a happy birthday from me.

Tbourlon, nicely done with the 5k!!!!

Nera...hahaha, sounds like your friend was distancely challenged...I get like that sometimes.

Gee, received that weekly email and it kicked me in the butt to check in here. Sounds like everyone has been busy.

May finally have a short term 2 to 3 month contract for some work, temporary work in data entry. Been applying at many different places, and get interviews but noone says yes, after the interview. I am a rather shy, somewhat low self-esteeem person and that just does not work well in interviews. I do have one interview this week and another company who is calling my references after having interviewed me, so hopefully working soon. Seems like every job I apply to in the Bay Area California, has 100 or more applicants.

Finally did some run walk intervals for the first time in a long time on Friday, yesterday. Was shorter than usual, that is for sure. Only about 2.96 miles, 8 minutes running 3 walking. Was assuming I would be doing a half marathon with some running in it this year, but somehow doubt it.

Lastly, my son has started college. His birthday Sept. 30, will be his first one away from home. I do miss him, but I am not one who tends to cry. Some have seemed to tell me, that I will cry. I do miss him, but that is what we raise them for and he is thoroughly enjoying his few weeks at Michigan State.

I did the three mile charity walk today. I made it but was one point I wasn't so sure. My friend I was walking with kept asking if we were almost done. I see the starting pavilion she kept saying. I was like no it isn't but you keep thinking that if it makes you feel better. LOL!!!!

Just got back from the 5K "Masquerade" run - finished at about 38:23 minutes; maybe 1 1/2 minutes faster than the 5K I ran in June. No, I didn't wear a mask, though I seriously thought about it. I wasn't sure it would stay on, LOL!

Had a lazy day today, my muscles were NOT happy with me, so no workout. Ate pretty well until Monkey and I hit the Rib festival in Kelowna!! It was soooooooo good:-) Tomorrow Monkey has ringette evaluations, and Miss has a soccer game...then Monkey has a fun time in a wakeboard competition.

Should be a fun day:-)

Another busy day, didn't do the amount of exercise I had on tap, but did rock out a workout with my trainer. Josh's try outs went well, the girls all want him to be their goalie:-) Missy had a rare day without anything extra-curricular, so chillaxed:-)

Nera, I'm so sorry it is such a brutal job sometimes. Don't blame you a bit for hanging up, sometimes people need a "reset" button. Hahaha about project runway!

Kirsten, find the "rest" button my friend...LOL, and when you do, let me know where it is.

Hugs!

I don't have a surprise job. The only surprise is I am still working there. LOL!!! On tuesday which was a cruddy day anyway my last call of the day I had a Chinese woman yell at me. I just couldn't take it and ended up hanging up on her. She wasn't listening to me and I didn't know how to communicate better with her. I handled it so poorly I know. But when I hung up I went straight in to the bathroom and I was completely beet red in the face and had these huge red splotches all over my neck and chest. So the next time someone says this phone thing is all in my head I may physically assault them. Man that statement makes me so angry.

But today was pretty quiet all the bosses are out of the building so it has been pretty laid back at work last two day. Tonight me and son and hubby had a movie night but neither my son or I liked the movie my hubby picked out. But we had a nice dinner and time together which we don't get all that often. But then I wanted to watch Project Runway and goodness they cleared out of the living room fast. LOL!!!!

Wow, crazy lives we lead eh? I'm feeling the need to slow things down a little, but not sure just how to do it.

Nera, I'm still amazed that you got a 'surprise job!' - how is it going? How are the students? Glad you're getting time to run.

Trish, you and your kids are back on the sports circuit - so glad that Missy's doing better.

Nera, work sounds rough for you right now. Ouch. Hang in there, and way to go on getting out for that walk.

Gill, I hope the toe behaves this weekend.

Hooray for the 5k Tbourlon!

Penny, Corinna, what's your mileage at now?

Got to run - literally! lol!!

Today was another challenging one. I really need to time my purging sessions. My kitchen was completely taken apart - almost back together now. 3 bags to goodwill, 4 bags to dump, 1 to recycle...yikes!! Did day 3 of 21 day fix today, tomorrow will be day 4, an hour with my trainer, and I am planning on walking to and from my workout (about 8 km). Josh has tryouts for his ringette team tomorrow, but it may be in vain as the goalie for Missy's team is hurt again. I will not let Josh play in Kelowna if Missy's team has no goalie. BOOOO!!! It sucks because Josh really wants and needs the competition.

Doris, way to go getting back out there!!!

Nera, sounds like work is a challenge right now!! Both ends of the life cycle represented - hugs to all:-)

Hugs,
Trish

I actually went for a walk tonight. I think it can only help with a couple of my issues going on. Work is what it is. I would told we could have unlimited overtime. But a coworker just got induced tonight to have her baby. Another one just found out her 87 year old mother has a brain tumor. So I do not see a lot getting done in this department for the next few weeks.

Today was a good oneish...LOL, I took the kidlets to school, and then went back to bed. After I got back up, ate well, hit the gym with Sharon - kick butt workout for sure. Did the upper body fix tonight.

Missy's try out went well, she is so scared she didn't make it, but I am certain she will.

Hope you are all doing well:-)

xoxo

Today kind of took over me....so tired!! Monkey had a evaluation in Kelowna and West Kelowna...Missy had evaluation in West Kelowna and also field hockey practice...oy!!

She has a jazz choir try out tomorrow, so just finished singing with her. One of the great things about being trained as a music teacher, is I can help her with these things.

Tomorrow I hit the gym with my trainer, along with day 2 of the 21 day fix...

Gotta fly, hugs xox

Hey everyone!
This weekend was pretty good. Managed a couple of run/walks, and started purging the kitchen. I hate that it gets worse before it gets better...LOL:-)

Kirsten, sounds like you are one busy lady these days!!

Nera, Missy's symptoms are doing well now. She just started back with ringette, soccer, and field hockey (yeah, she's a busy girl in September)...she has the most up to date concussion equipment. Sounds like your boss is being a butt! Nice to do the lunch though:-)

Hey Gill, what are you injured with?

Doris, sounds crazy busy!! It will sort itself out my friend! Just try for 10-15 minutes a day for now...

Gotta fly, starting the 21 day fix tomorrow:-)

Hugs,
Trish

So, I have been absent from here for about a month........I ended up taking a teaching job at a local high school. I didn't know I was looking for work:). I actually had 4 offers and I took the one that is only a mile and a half from home. I had an overnight to get ready as school had already started. Yikes! I am getting a handle on things so I might actually have time to run soon. It has been about 3 weeks since I ran, maybe one day in that time period. It's been a bit crazy for me.
Glad to see I am not alone in the craziness of life! I feel that I can take an hour a couple days a week and just run or work-out.........I have missed it:)

Trish how is Missy's concussion symptoms? Is she able to play her sports? Me having to start working overtime boss is getting upset or how much money my department isn't collecting. Hey if you give me garbage claims don't be surprised if I can't get them paid. Sigh!!!!. But had lunch with a friend and some window shopping (for me) she bought herself a pretty nice birthday present. LOL!!!

That's great, Trish, way to go!

I had a busy day yesterday. Worked the night shift Thursday night Right after work I went for a short run, donated blood for the first time and then went to bed! This morning I went to a boot camp class, took the kids to the farmers market and now I'm going to take a nap. Then it's off to the hospital for another night shift.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good evening!

Had a fairly productive day. Got a good cardio workout done, and ate well within my range. Also replaced our bathroom sink and taps (yeah me!!). I also bought new runners, even better news:-) Working through the C210k program (at a Trish pace...LOL), so tomorrow will do my maiden voyage on them.

Josh has ringette, and Missy has a soccer game tomorrow...after that, we are cleaning out the garage. Good times!

Hugs and love to you guys!

Trish

Hey all,

Went back to the gym with my tail between my legs today...I hate going back after injury!! My trainer was amazing, she totally took me through a core based workout to get me moving in the right direction. Feeling really positive about moving forward. Josh has now done evaluations in kelowna and west kelowna...we will see where he lands.

Missy's first few days at high school have been great, she is super stoked to sing in honours choir, and jazz choir.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish, back at it? How are the kiddos doing? It must be a very busy time for your gang.

ST today - I'm going to try a new "balls/bands/bars" class today. Should ruin me - lol! Night shift tonight, giving blood tomorrow morning and then SLEEP, glorious sleep!
