Congratulations Debbie on running that HM under 3 hours. Now stop qualifying your runs as slow. Speed does not define a runner. You run - you are a runner. Fast runners don't call themselves fast runners and regardless of how slow you think you are, don't call yourself slow! I am guilty of doing so myself and am constantly reminded by seasoned runners not to do so. We run, we are runners!

Oops, I think I posted this on the wrong thread... I completed a half marathon on Sunday 10/20. I wanted to finish in less than 3 hours, even though I know that is really slow running, and I finished in 2:56.

My first half-marathon (the Monster Dash half in Chicago) is this Sunday, the 20th. I am super-excited! This will be my first race that my husband and kids will be there for, and a few friends are planning to come out and cheer me on, too. I would love to run it in 2:10, but since it's my first, I'm not overly concerned about hitting that time goal. I just want to enjoy it, which I know I will!
