Doh! Slowest time of the season. 3:33:57 I was on pace through mile 8 to finish in 3:15, but just ran out of gas on the final hills. Then the sadists who designed the course decided to put a gigantor hill at mile 12.5. Ugh! Guess what Heather needs to work on?

Last night, I ran an 8K race and tomorrow I'll run a 5K. It will be my 4th time doing that race tomorrow, the race I've done more than any other. First time was mostly walking, second year was just a little running and last year involved some walking because it was my first race after an injury. Although done at 7pm, this race has a history of sunny, hot weather. Just hoping it's not too hot tomorrow evening.

Done with official runs here until mid-August. Did the running portion of a team sprint triathlon last weekend and loved it! I officially start a lazy man triathlon on Saturday. These are lots of fun if you like to log miles and have a friendly group of people working towards the same goal.. You have to run, bike, and swim the distances of an Ironman triathlon, but you get 6 weeks to do it! You can usually get creative in your miles............can't swim? Log water aerobic time etc. They take place in all different locations and some places allow people from other locations to participate, so see if there is one happening near you if it sounds like something you would like. You could always start your own with friends too!
A box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through. The little voice inside your head that says you can't is a liar!
