I'd worry if you "didn't" feel nervous. It's your first race of that distance, so I'm not surprised you have some nerves going in to it. You will do fine. Just enjoy the experience, and bask in your new PR.

Just relax and enjoy it! You've earned it! Trail running is a little harder than road running. You didn't say if this was a road or trail race, but if it's road all that trail running may be a big help too.

I'll be running my first 10K race next Sunday (10/21). Even though I've run 5 mile trail races and I know that I can make it an extra mile, I'm beginning to feel nervous. Any suggestions?
