I'm doing the 5K Run-to-the-Lake on July 8. This was the first race I ever ran (last year) and I'm hoping to beat my PR of 39:42.

Congrats to all who raced today! I bowed out from the race I planned and just ran at 6:30 instead. It was quite a bit cooler than at race time.

Happy 4th of July to all.

I ran the 4th of July 5-Miler in 63 minutes... not great time, but not too bad for an old lady like me! This was a fun way to start the day! Happy 4th of July everyone!

Ran my 5k this morning ... 36:11 (a PR) even though I was hoping for better.
It was super hot and humid and there were 1500 runners, so I don't feel that the conditions were great. I am happy and proud I did it and finished.

I am a sweaty messy headachey heap, but I finished the 5 miler. It took 1:00:20 which is a few minutes longer than I had hoped, but I am happy!
Happy 4th to all!

At the last minute my daughter and I decided to run the 36th annual 4th of July 5-miler put on by the Buffalo Chips Running Club in Sacramento, CA. It's free and a great way to start of Independence Day!
