Just an update on my progress...if you are interested of course...I am now running without any walking 1.5 miles and running/walking another 1.5 for a total of 3 miles. I started out not being able to run 1 mile without stopping and when I could my best time was 15min. I am now running an 11 minute mile. My best 3miles is 34 minutes...I walk and run the last 1.5 but am woking on it.
I owe a big part of my success to all of you who have given my great advice and feedback for a new runner....It looks like my first 5k will be at the end of June....to keep me motivated :)
