STACE - It's so hard to change our routines and habits! But once you do...you'll be so happy that you did. I know I sure am. My life looks completely different now than it did in December. Go for it girl!

I begin training for a half in a couple of weeks. Trying to let my IT band rest a bit before I begin running more. It isn't in pain but I feel it after every workout so I want to be proactive in its healing.
Sooo....I'm only running 3 times this week (already did 2X) and will run only 3 - 4 miles this Saturday. Loving the cool weather that has blown in. Cross Training the other 3 days with a full day of rest.

Stace - try going to bed in your workout clothes! Also, start going to bed a little earlier each night, so that you still get your required rest in. Don't try doing it an hour at a time, you'll just lie there awake. But go ten minutes earlier this week, another ten next week, etc.
Do rewards work for you? Set up something so that if you do get in XX number of runs in the early morning, you get to splurge on something that you really want. Even smaller things work - I shower with a body wash, nice smelling, and feels really good *IF* I've done my morning cardio. If not, I shower with my husband's bar of Zest soap - which I don't particularily care for. This won't work for everyone, but it sure motivates me to get something (ANYTHING) done before I have to shower and get ready for work. We all have to find what works for us!
What about finding a buddy who will go in the mornings with you? It's really hard to push off a workout, if you know there is someone waiting for you at that time of the morning.
My goal for this week is to run/walk 4 times, 3 miles each time...at LEAST, adding strenght training. I'm really trying hard to increase the amount of times that I run. I want to shed fat. I'm trying really hard to start getting up early in the morning to run. Anyone have any hints for me? It's really hard to get myself up and start working out early, but I know it will be worth it once I get into the habit...HELP!
My goal is to work out twice this week - JUST TWICE! I need to start setting smaller goals so I can feel the success of reaching them. If I work out three times I'll feel even better about it :)
My Half Marathon was yesterday so this is a rest week. None, or close to no exercise. I might try some pilates in a few days if the aches go away, but today my thighs and hips are in serious pain! So worth it though, and cannot wait to do it again!

My goals for this week:
-no fast food
-20 push ups each day
-30 minute walk two days
-32 minute running workout three days
I'm really excited to start the Spark Your Way to a 5K Running program!! If I had my running clothes & shoes with me, I'd do day 1 at lunch!!

Please use this thread to let everyone know your goals for the week, to keep yourself accountable. The goals can certainly be running related, but you can use the thread for other goals you are currently doing as well.
Simply write down what you have for a goal for the week (for example: complete week three of C25k), and then as the week progresses, come back and update with the results as you complete steps toward your goal.
Plus, our team is on our way to running to the moon! Please help us get there, by adding that team goal to your own goals list. You can find it from the main team page (near the bottom).
