Hi, all.... I tried running once almost a year ago and gave myself bursitis in both knees and was looking like a 110 year old crippled person for well over a month--I couldn't walk!!!! (BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FOOTWARE--IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE!!!!)
Now, I have good shoes. I ran a 5k in March and another in April.... Friends roped me into those.... I managed under 32 minutes for both--not shabby for a non-runner! (I thought anyhow. ;-) So starting the week after the second run, I've been running every other day at least a 5k (and 4 miles on my "long" run day once a week.)
I didn't want to have to do this, but it's AWESOME and not very hard, and the results are awfully nice.... So.... my goal is to continue running at least 3.2 every other day and throwing in a "long" run once a week--I'll try to work that long one up to 5 miles by the end of the month.
