Well, I got the tapering part right, didn't run at all all week lol. Carb loading not to so much. The antibiotics made me sick and I didn;t eat well all week. I did run the Half though, so that was good, lol

Well, looks like I went 0-3... I got in 3 runs, but the last one I had to cut short to just 1.86mi instead of 3. I lost 2lbs so didn't meet either the 3 or 5 goal. And the clouds opened up halfway through the back 9 when I was out golfing on Saturday so we couldn't finish. I WAS on track though to shoot an 86, so happy with that at least!

To complete the next two days resting before my first 5 K Race May 6, 2012 sunday which is also Week 8 Day 3 of C25K. Resting is going to be a challenge for me not to go out there and run and to just rest. I promise I will rest and look forward to having the strongest rested body I can imagine.
Today I complete Week 8 Day 2 as per my plan this week.

Hi, all.... I tried running once almost a year ago and gave myself bursitis in both knees and was looking like a 110 year old crippled person for well over a month--I couldn't walk!!!! (BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FOOTWARE--IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE!!!!)
Now, I have good shoes. I ran a 5k in March and another in April.... Friends roped me into those.... I managed under 32 minutes for both--not shabby for a non-runner! (I thought anyhow. ;-) So starting the week after the second run, I've been running every other day at least a 5k (and 4 miles on my "long" run day once a week.)
I didn't want to have to do this, but it's AWESOME and not very hard, and the results are awfully nice.... So.... my goal is to continue running at least 3.2 every other day and throwing in a "long" run once a week--I'll try to work that long one up to 5 miles by the end of the month.

Please use this thread to let everyone know your goals for the week, to keep yourself accountable. The goals can certainly be running related, but you can use the thread for other goals you are currently doing as well.
Simply write down what you have for a goal for the week (for example: complete week three of C25k), and then as the week progresses, come back and update with the results as you complete steps toward your goal.
