Yes, I have asthma meds. I did get antibiotic for bronchitis,and prednisone for asthma too, so I'm sure that after it kicks in I will feel better. I hope I can get back to running in a couple days. Thanks!
If it's asthma see if you need medication. For other illness don't push too hard when you are sick because you wear your body down more and recovering from illness will be longer. Even the best of runners sometimes have to take a break and let their bodies heal. Then you come back stronger than if you try to force runs when your body can't handle it. I know that you are going to do well with your race. Don't be discouraged. See a doctor if possible and make sure you don't have an infection in your lungs or something just to be sure. I'm training for a 5k in May, but have been sick for the last week. I've been trying to push through and continued to work out, but running is nearly impossible with the asthma flare- up. Only ran 5 minutes last night, but did walk 15 mins. How do you handle illness during training? I don't want to lose much ground.
