Linda Kay - I love hiking too!

Bobby - Take a vacation? Really? Get out there and take one! And that's so cool that you're doing the century ride. I'd like to do a half century, at least... but someplace pretty, not out here in the desert, LOL!

So many cool ideas! I went out of the country to Bavaria last April for the first time, which was several bucket list items (get a passport, travel to Europe, etc) but I would also love to go to Ireland, so I should add that to my list.

I've been on several cruises, LOVE them! but would definitely like to go to Alaska. I think I want to do one of those monthlong things where it's a combination of cruising, train trips, and hiking. That's a SUPER BUCKET item!

Keep them coming! This is great motivation to keep our fitness efforts going!

Freedomstar - still thinking?

I love this topic!

I have hiked to the floor of the Grand Canyon (and back up... LOL) but it was when I was much heavier and very unfit. I'd like to go back and backpack "rim to rim" (north to south). I would also love to hike half dome, and I want to travel to the Holy Land and to Egypt to see and visit the pyramids.

I haven't given the bucket list much thought but there are a few things:

Become a dan level go player
Attend a European Go Congress
Get to Japan on a vacation
Take a cruise
Memorize "All About Life and Death" volumes 1 and 2 which will help me with the first thing on my list.

I crossed the RiverWalk in San Antonio off my list this winter, and I was not disappointed. It was like your NY item - I had no idea why I wanted to go there, I just did! I have also ridden an airboat through the Everglades, which was a blast. I have had a cup of coffee in St Mark's Square. I rode a train through the Alps. I've sat in a hot tub in the middle of winter in the Canadian Rockies.

What I haven't done yet:

Hiking in the Grand Canyon
Stay overnight in one of those Polynesian huts over the water.
Ride an ostrich and an elephant (but strangely I don't want to go to Africa)
Be a part of an archeological dig

Love this topic!

My Bucket List has been on my mind lately as I have watched Coach Nancy prepare to achieve one of HER Bucket List items - running in the NYC Half Marathon. One of my items is to run in Central Park someday - not even in a race but just to go for a run there. Don't ask why, because I couldn't tell you. It's just one of those things I've always wanted to do. Some of my other items are:

1) Run in Central Park, NYNY
2) Run with Coach Nancy and other SP friends
3) My first one item ever is still there - hike to the top of Half Dome.
4) Hike part of the Pacific Coast Trail.
5) Go on one of the jungle canopy tours, preferably with at least one zip line run.
6) Go dog sledding.
7) Go scuba diving someplace exotic, like Hawaii or Australia.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. (It's probably more than enough, LOL!) I'm sure I'll think of more - I have a very adventurous spirit inside this less than fit body.

What do you have on YOUR Bucket List? I'd love to know. 'Cause, you know, I could always use more ideas!

OH OH 8) Do one of those obstacle course runs, like the Muddy Buddy!

Anybody got anything else? Or something from your Bucket List that you've already achieved?
