I wish you lots of luck for such a GREAT cause!

thanks for the info. The idea of fundraising is a little daunting but certainly it is a good cause. we'll see how the info session goes!

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Hello,

Yes, you do have a fundraising minimum when you train with Team in Training. That minimum varies depending on which race you want to train for. The goal is that only 25% maximum goes towards your expenses and the rest goes directly to LLS. Your training and race is free. If you travel away from home, your flight is covered and two dinners (night before race and night after), but not the rest of your meals.

I just completed a season with TnT and it was a really great experience. I have never felt so supported in training and on the actual race course. The fundraising was daunting, but if you start early and be creative, it's not really that bad. You also have the opportunity to back out about 10 weeks before your race if you are concerned you won't raise your minimum.

I would really recommend it to anyone that is willing to do the work. Like i said, I had a great experience and plan on mentoring for TnT in the spring, and probably the summer too.

hi Guys... I was wondering whether anyone here had any experience with Team in Training? I signed up for an informational session with them next month to train for a half marathon...

I believe the gist of the deal is that you raise money for a Lymphoma/Leukemia charity and you get to train with their group for free? Anyone know if that's right? Do you have to raise a certain amount? A little hesitant - I'm all for running for charity but I'm not much of a fundraiser!

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
