This is a very common injury especially amongst women runner's due to our wide Q-angles from our wider hips. Go to PT learn the measures it will take to get this injury to heal and trust me you should be back to running in no time. Tis better to take a few days/weeks off now then to be forced to take off months later if the injury worsens. You still have a whole life time ahead but trust me I understand your frustration. Get well soon!
After weeks of knee pain, I finally got in to the doctor. Apparently I have tendonitis in my IT band? Has anyone else had this, or heard of it?? Is there any hope for me? I am trying SO hard to run and I keep having to deal with knee problems. I will be starting physical therapy and was told not to run until then. I am very frustrated (if you couldn't tell:) , and was hoping someone had some words of encouragement!
Have a great day, it is finally sunny and warm here in Minneapolis!!
