With the holiday that is often synonymous with chocolate bunnies and cream eggs upon us, it seemed logical to consider temptation. It is hard for anyone to walk by their favorite color of jelly beans when they seem to be everywhere--and those pretty pastel-wrapped candies call out to many of us, even when we wouldn't normally be moved by their regularly wrapped counterparts.
"The moment when you want to quit, is the moment when you need to keep pushing."--Unknown
"There's no guarantee of disaster-free in any world religion, but love, faith and knowledge give men hope and willpower."--Toba Beta
"The more things you do, the more you can do."-- Lucille Ball
"When I thought I couldnt go on, I forced myself to keep going. My success is based on persistence, not luck."--Estee Lauder
These quotes go beyond the idea of "hanging in there" or "manning up and resisting the temptation." They give us a bit to think of and at least a couple of them give us the thoughts of very famous people who dealt with their own "willpower" or temptation issues. Take a moment and share how at least one of these relates to your own needs with temptations--These temptations can range from holiday to chocolate to skipping exercise or dealing with soda or more. Would you find it helpful to copy one of these quotes to act as a reminder to yourself this week? Which one? Why??
