I agree with Joanne that quality is always better than quantity, or at least that's what my instructors drill as well :-) Personally, I love the reformer and chair classes because I find it easier to feel the correct alignment and self-adjust. They're also just fun. Good luck!

I have been taking Pilates classes now for about 5 years and I love it! My core has become quite strong. I have never used a machine, but from what I understand with Pilates, doing the exercises correctly makes all the difference, so I think that would be the case with the machine too. Always engage your core before performing the exercise. Quality is more important than quantity. At least that is what my instructor drills into us!

Doing Pilates on the floor vs using a machine?
I have never done pilates ( have always wanted to) and I was just given
a AeroPilates machine, I have been looking at the videos and find this very interesting

so my questions is what is the difference between doing it on the machine or on the floor and if so what is the better work out.

Thanks you emoticon
