Okay, it's time for confessions:
I am so disorganized that I can't find my crockpot. I'm not sure if I gave it to charity because I wasn't using it, or if it is lost in the garage or something.
Where ever it is, I'm ready to use it again & cant find it.

I think the CP is a great invention. I've had at least one since the 70's. Right now I have 4 in dif sizes! I'm actually trying to get into looking for more recipes on-line. My first CP came with a cookbook that was useless as it had all sorts of recipes for things that I don't eat, like oxtails and lamb shanks. I do all of my roasts in the CP, bbq beef , pulled pork, scalloped potatoes, home-made soup.

My cockpot is over 20 yrs old. I have used it to keep things warm, like sloppy joes, but I use it to make potato soup. One of these days, I am afraid it won't work.

Do you have a crock pot and know how to use it?
And, more importantly, do you use your crock pot? What are some of your favorite recipes?
I had 2 old crock pots I used quite a bit in 2011 and half of 2012. Both suffered mishaps within a few weeks of each other last summer - one was dropped and one was cooked (my son turned on the stove burner underneath the crock pot by accident).
So I have been without for more than 6 months. And finding one here in France has been very difficult. I finally admitted defeat and ordered one from Amazon; I should be able to pick it up from the post office on Saturday. I'm so excited to have a crock pot again!
