I probably would work on the bathroom first just because it is a small room. I wish I could do something for my bathroom, ie: make it bigger, but can't do that.

I'm working on some projects myself. I have a high boy that I am going to refinish or paint. I also have a chair that I need to have new material put on the seat and back. Needs a professional to do that. Once these are done, I can try and finish the room they are going in.
after that I want to work on my front porch.

My next project is putting up a metal storage shed. I got one last week at Sears and am in the process of building a floor to set it up on. Once I get that done I am getting my son and two grandsons over here for a day of shed raising. I know I cant handle the metal all by myself. I tries a few years ago and could ;not do it then, so haven't gotten any younger so will need help.
Once that is up will be building shelves in it for some of the stuff I have in the garage. I have plenty of small projects coming up for the yard and larger one for the house. One step at a time, one project at a time.

I have a shed I don't use. I was thinking of converting to a chicken coop.

The blues and black sound really groovy. All my projects are on hold until the weather gets better. One of the fist things is a floor and shelves put down i the storage shed. Then one window replaced and patio doors put in. Hope to have all of this done before July. The window and the door have to wait until my son can help me. Once those are done will probably start on the flooring laminate all the way through.!!!

I like having color on my walls, your black/red/white room sounds very interesting!

Some of the walls in the house I am renting are painted in colors too...just not the ones I would have chosen.

In my US house before I moved I had the walls all painted a lighter shade of blue and then put down all new moldings stained black. I also replaced all the light switches and outlets with black ones, and replaced all the interior doors, also stained black. I didn't have the time or money to redo the floors like I wanted, in a black stained hardwood; maybe in a few years when I go back.

My next project is to finish my basement. I had quite a few quotes from contractors and they gave me a general idea how to do. I have to prep the walls first and then I have to wait until it gets a little warmer.

A few years ago I repainted my bedroom Sun dried tomato red and white. Three walls red and one white. I then did accents in black. The last project I did just about a month ago was to paint picture frames black and white. The white ones I put on the red walls and the black ones on the white walls. Still have a few more of the white ones to get painted and up. It is looking pretty good. I also painted the dresser whit, with drawer fronts black and knobs white and a corner table in white. I still have a night stand and a jewelry box that I want to paint but it will have to wait until I am able to move the things outside. It is too cold right now. I am 71 years old so it takes me a little longer to get things done. Plus I am on a fixed income so it takes some planning to get what I need to get projects done.

My last project was remodeling the living room. I put in a drop ceiling and crown molding. When I first got out of high school worked in a machine shop with 10 men for 10 years. The skills I learned there coming in handy now. emoticon

I don't even want to think about the deck. Mine is waiting for me when I get back to the US in 3 years and will need to be replaced. I think the supports are still ok so I might only have to replace the long boards.

I wondered how much of a PITA it would be. I have a pedestal sink and may need to take the sink part off to get to it better...not sure just yet. I've trying doing thinks in reverse, so I don't mess them up going forward. Not sure when I will get to it just yet. I have a school project that needs to get done first.

I've repaired/replaced parts but have not done a full installation myself. It didn't look hard, just more of a PITA. Depending on the faucet brand the instructions will generally go over the process in bewildering detail but the pictures are good. When you take the old acute out pay attention to how it was hooked up, as you are removing it; reverse engineering helps more that the instructions.

Has anyone replaced a bathroom faucet? I bought a new one and need to get installed. I don't want to spend money to have someone else do it.

My project this winter is to declutter and weed out all the stuff that sits on shelves, in closets, cabinets and drawers, but never gets used.

I bought wall decals of flowers to put in my bedroom. Instead of sticking them to the wall directly, I decided to frame them. I went to the Dollar Tree store where the frames were a dollar each. I bought acid free paper in black, and now I wish I had gray to match my walls but oh well, as my background. I think they looked pretty good. Now I just need to get them hung up.

I took my bathroom fan apart to clean almost a month ago & haven't put it back up yet. The hard part is done, what is the problem?

Re-issuing the thread so that our new members can join in.

What projects are you working on right now ? What projects have you completed recently ?

I have a door handle with a sticky latch. I can go into the basement but if I shut the door I can't get out again. Some day soon I'm going to try to fix this, although from the initial look I had at the Leroy Merlin store (kind of like Lowe's) I didn't see the part I need.
