I can't say I was ever a fan of guacomole until getting serious about changing my eating habits. During a recent visit to Sam's Club I purchased a box of Wholly Guacamole in part that there were individual serving pouches and the fact that the entire pouch is only 100 calories. I've been using it as a sandwich spread and in salads. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks
Oh, I love the stuff - I'm using it on sandwiches now instead of mayo. I like the taste better AND it has healthy fats and fiber. It's not "low-cal", but you at least get some bang for the caloric buck both flavor-wise and nutritionally...
I can't get my 7yo to even try it - but I'm not worried because I thought it was gross until I was in my 30s. Plus her doctor was impressed that she could even name vegetables other than corn, peas and carrots, (and even more impressed that she *likes* broccoli, zucchini and asparagus) so I'll take a little credit there LOL!
