i agrew with Don.. in fact..w hen i'm eating healthier.. I find i can eat less.. which leads to reduce food cost... We're a family of 5 and we went from spending $600/month on food bills to $450.. And we do eat out 2 times/ month.. it's all about the right choices.

Nope: I think it's a wash. The priciness of fresh, healthy foods can be offset by giving up or greatly reduced by eliminating most unhealthy beverages, boxed foods and frozen packaged foods, chips and other unhealthy stuff.

An update of what used to be known as a food pyramid in 2010 had called on Americans to eat more foods containing potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin D and calcium. But if they did that, the study authors said, they would add hundreds more dollars to their annual grocery bill.
