i agree it is disappointing when someone leaves.. For me i hope it's because they have all the tools for there life change, eventhough i recognize they may just be going back to old habits... It's hard to change your life... it's hard to choose health in an instant gratification world...I too have read this blog.. In fact i printed it out and reread it whenever i need the reminder that the benefits out weigh any negatives.... Keep sparking on!
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.
Thanks, Don. I've read John's Blog before and a reread every month or so is a good thing. I saw a great saying on another Sparker's Blog, "A year from now you'll be really glad you didn't quit today." My first thought was, "Yikes, a year from now???? I'll still 'be doing this' a year from now?" Ahha, I had caught myself in the act of negative thinking on 2 points..."a year from now" and "doing this." I guess I still need to constantly remind myself that this is a day-by-day, life-changing endeavor...and that the quick-fix, instant gratification mentality will lead to the downward spiral that ends in quitting. Thanks, again for such a timely topic!
