Hi! I am new to the team. I just joined about a week ago. I thought this might be a fun way to get to know some of the team members.
They say to visualize your goals. I know we all have visions of things we want to do in fitness and in life.. I like to think far into the future to what I want and work my way backwards to see what I need to do from today.
So: "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?"
For the last couple of days I have been thinking about me in 20 years and this is what I came up with:
I want to be the tough, sinewy little old lady with the gray braid down her back that is coming up on 70 but still acts like 55. You know, the one that lives in jeans, tank tops, sneakers and muck boots. She works steadily from sunup to sundown, has the place that her grandchildren think of as summer camp, always has some extra produce to spare for the family down the road with lots of kids. She radiates inner peace and happiness and draws people to her like a moths to the porch light.
That is what I want to be when I grow up. How about you?
Fitness is a long Journey made up of baby steps, (think: toddler doing a marathon) so steady goes it! If you fall down: get up!
