Cool.. If you ever want a biking partner let me know..

Here's something to think for everyone on BAL to think about: My goal was to do a Duatholon in 2011... there are lots of "sprint" ones in the area.... I would love to do one as a group/team... anda duatholon is a Run-Bike-Run here are some distance levels:

•2-mile run/10-mile bike/2-mile run
•5k run/30k bike/5k run
•10k run/40k bike/5k run (International or short course)
•10k run/60k bike/10k run (Powerman or long course)

Julie...You, tracy, and i are technically at the Powerman level with running.. so that could remain consistently the same... Just would need to train at the bike.... Don i believe you're at the Powerman level for biking... And if you could run at a 5K level you could do the first one.. They also off team "relay" events much like the BC triatholon...

So i just wanted to throw that out there.. that even if you dont' think you could complete a full triatholon or Duatholon.. Team events ARE available.. and doable. :)

That's true Gwen. As for the biking, honestly, I haven't done it enough as an adult to know if I enjoy it or not. I'm hoping I'll get to do more this summer.

YEAH! I agree another bridge runner!! :) Don are you going to do there 5K??? :)

Julie... If you do at least 1 marathon... you can at least add it to your wall of fame as having done one. :) and you like to bicycle, right? there are lots of Duatholons out there that are really fun... You could always do something like that as well :) you don't need anything special, just a good pair of running shoes. :)

For now, I'm doing some of the SP virtual races (like 1/month), and I've signed up for the B'ton Bridge Run 5K. We have a timeshare in Orlando, so one of these days, I'm gonna have to do the Disney race emoticon.

i agree Don... I"m already planning for next year as well Jule.. I just want to tackle triaholons and HM this year.. Hoping the swimming will be up to 1/2 Iron level next year.. And i figure if i can get one of the 3 disciplines at a time to where i want it.. It makes it easier to maintain while i catch another one up. :)
