We should definitely plan something, but my weekends are really full. It might need to be a Sunday afternoon for me to make it.

CC skiing burns MUCHO calories! I've only gone a few times...do "okay" on the level or slight uphill...terrible struggle to remain upright with even the slightest downhill.

Willing to give it a go again soon!

CC skiing is alot like swimming in that it works your entire body and is pretty low impact.. i guess it would depend on if you want warmth of the pool vs cool outdoors.. I personally have enjoyed both... I used to do snow shoeing as a kid on my grandfather's old pair of snow shoes.. which DID look like tennis rackets in the snow.. The ones they have now are alot better...


I'm not a downhill skiier.. you have to picture me as the "agony of defeat"... But CC or snow shoeing I'm up for! Maybe a group meetup? we could also do some sledding.. :)

I'd totally be in for trying snowshoeing! CC skiing might be fun too, definitely something new. Also not something I would have ever considered before, but I find myself trying lots of new things now.

It feels pretty cool. =)

I used to have all this info @ SparkBinghamton.com but I think it was dumped when they changed the format over.

Going to be away until returning to work on Tues. so this weekend is out for me. Hope the snow holds!!

Greenwood Park open for skiing

Broome County’s Greenwood Park in Nanticoke is now open for cross-country skiing, Parks and Recreation officials announced.

Trails are open daily until 4 p.m. Equipment rentals are available at $3 per hour, and for those with their own equipment there is a $4 per day trail use fee.

Season passes are also available. For more information, call Greenwood Park at (607) 862-9933.
