Dick's was closed the night I went, New Years Day. I spent all my expendable income for a bit. I did notice the clearance rack last time I was there though. I'll have to try to go in a few weeks when I get a little more spending money. Ooh, maybe someone will get me a GC for my bday :)

Yay! I'm thinking about getting a gaiter too, but so far I haven't needed it since that one really cold week.

yes they do.. JOhn said i can get the gloves.. WHOOT! I'm also going o check and see if they carry "gaitors".. they're just oversized headbands for your face.. because

I got a really nice sports bra and it was on sale. That's all I got for running though. I would love to get more but I already got my birthday present from my mom, which was new tires on my car :) We get an Xbox 360 with Kinect for the holidays though and a fitness program that came with it and after I do it I actually have sore arms the next day. So that's cool. I would definitely like to have another running outfit and more socks.

I'm really happy with my new gloves (which are running gloves). I was running in a pair of Walmart stretch cotton gloves, which were great through the 30s but my hands were freezing when the temps dropped.
I ran this morning with my Nike gloves and I was plenty warm. If you get that cold then I think they're def. worth the money.

So here's my next ? then...do you think the cold weather running gloves are worth the cost?? iask because i've had mild frost bite on my hands.. and even at 45 degrees i need gloves... at 25 degrees i'm doubling up.

The gloves I got were not on sale but...I didn't buy UA, I got Nike. So far, so good. Also, Al had gotten me a black shirt (full price)-when I went to exchange the size, I picked up one of the clearance ones instead; so I got the gloves for $7.50 after the price adjustment.

I got 2 cold gear running turtlenecks...considering going back and getting the running gloves.. Julie you mentioned you got some..were they on sale? also considering purchasing another pair of running tights so i have 2. I olso ordered 2 swimsuits, goggles and swim caps for starting the training for the swimming process for the triatholon.

Our son got us a Garmin Nuvi which is supposed to be dually useful for cars and cycling. It should be able to better track distance and offer assistance on longer journeys yet to come should I get lost...! :-)

Just curious if anyone picked up anything new and exciting during Christmas or the after holiday sales.
I got a new running outfit from hubby-compression tights, a fitted mock turtleneck and sweatshirt-all Under Armour cold gear. What an amazing difference! I also got a fleece sweatshirt and some tech socks, as well as a new yoga mat. From my dad I got a reflective vest to wear when I run in the dark.
For myself, I picked up a second shirt, a pair of running gloves, and new sneaks (to start breaking in before my old ones are short)-all on clearance! I also got myself a pair of Yak Trax to help me run in the snow, if we ever get any.
Yay for new gear!
