Well, I did great through Christmas and then I bombed out food-wise during the week of vacation. New Years weekend was a tragedy best not repeated. Suffice it to say that between real and water weight, I gained about 10 pounds. I have already shed 5 or 6 of them (the water weight), but it's likely going to be a couple weeks before I am comfortably back in my actual maintenance range.
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got.
And i hear you about not being able to get your groove going... IF anything with the colder days.. I sit there and think.. Well i'm not going anywhere, it's too cold.. what else is there for me to do other than workout??? kind of like a "no exscuses" for me.. as opposed to summer.. where it's so beautiful.. it was much more difficult.

Been struggling here...! I'm avoiding holiday goodies, making healthy food choices but have drifted away from tracking and am eating too much nonetheless. Also I just can't get my groove going on the treadmill these days. Indoor cardio has lost it's appeal and am still sulking in a bad way over the loss of outdoor cycling outlets.
I do best when I have clients in the evening as I enjoy either Nordic Walking or jogging back and forth from my day time work to my private practice. But that's only 3 nights a week.
I *KNOW* what I need to do...just feel bogged down in the winter muck and struggling to get up and DO IT!
