Yep that is about it. I am not a member of TCRC but I am of the Broome County Triathlon Club.
Things are pretty quiet this time of year but if you are interested in group runs, or swims or bike rides you ladies should check it out - even if a triathlon isn't on your agenda, nothing beats group workouts.
With 6-7 months to prepare I would say it is very doable. I do most all my runs with the run/walk method and it works very well for me. Don't think you have to run every inch of the 13.1 miles before you do one - you can of course - but many people walk some of it. We start right out with a run 9 minutes walk 1 right from the start and that keeps us stong and able to make it to the longer distances.
Here is the link to the triple cities runners club - on the left hand side is a calendar with all the races in the area. Keep an eye on that in the coming months and maybe the May HM will be posted sometime soon.
