Thanks for all the tips. I've been having a harder time this year having lots of fresh fruit on hand since we're trying to eat mostly organic produce. It's been kind of hit or miss at Wegman's and I haven't made it to the Farmer's Market's in a while.
I like the make ahead meal ideas and the having some input ideas. Thanks!

Being a grab 'n go kinda guy, I like to have a handy stash of easy to get fresh fruit and veggies for snacking.

For meals we often have a cook-a-thon over the weekend and stockpile different dishes to which we can readily help ourselves for speedy meals during the week.

tracy.. we also always have alot of fresh fruit on hand... all the kids and mine fav's... Here's a thought.. maybe on sunday... have everyone pick one dinner meal for the week they'd like.. Or have everyone give you 3 choices.. it would make the dinner time menu that much easier for you.. I find that one is our toughest. :)

Yes, totally been wanting to get up earlier and do workouts in the a.m. but am such a night owl, it's hard for me to make myself go to bed.
I think menu planning would be a big help and having some go to fast snacks and meals that are healthy and easy.
I'm definitely going to have to put meal planning on my list of things to start soon. Maybe just set a date each month to do it.

IDk.. i preplan menu's in advanced... make a list of things i know need to get done and schedule them for certain days... can you get up early to workout? i'm not a crack of dawn person.. but i see this as having the possibility to do this in the future.. See if hubyy wouldn't mind entertaining the kids for 30-60 minutes in the evening so you can go wokout... But for me i guess my to do lists and menu's are the best help.. they keep me orgnaized and take the guesswork out of the day.

I'm having a tough time lately with balancing having fun/living life and eating healthy and fitting in fitness.
My eating is actually not horrible, just not as good as it could be. Still having a hard time getting in all my fruits and veggies and choosing processed snacks like granola bars over fruit or veggies.
I'm also having a hard time trying to fit my workouts in so that they're not in the way of doing fun stuff with the kids.
I really can't get in a great workout with the kids. Even hiking has become to easy for it to be considered a big workout because they can't move that fast. Of course, I could do it with one on my back...
We're considering going camping later this week and I'm feeling a little worried about how I will manage to eat healthy for that too.
I guess I just really need to learn how to balance things out.
