Thanks for the feedback! I don't generally have a problem drinking water, I actually enjoy water. But I was drinking a diet lipton green tea the other day and thought "hey, I think I can count this!" Just wondered how everyone else counted their waters! Thanks!

Lately, I've been drinking about 6-7 glasses of pain water and 1 Liter of water with 4C Tea on the Go Green Tea w/ Honey and Lemon. I count all of that, but I don't count my coffee (the only other thing I drink daily.) My mom asked me why I count the tea and not the coffee...my answer was that it has no calories (I think it's sweetened with Splenda). Green Tea has also been shown to help with weight loss, which is why I am comfortable counting it as part of my water.

Other than that, I love some lemon juice or sliced up lemons in my water for something refreshing.

I stick with water. I have read all the stuff and the pros and the cons. I figure keep it simple. If I want to "spice" up my water I slice ginger and put it in the bottom of a pitcher of water. It gives it a pleasant taste. As I always "fix" my water for the next day at night before bed then I am assured that I get my 8 glasses in.

I think all that diet soda and stuff makes you crave sugar and I can crave sugar without any help.

I aim for mostly water, at least eight glasses or the equivalent of 64oz. Though, occasionally I will substitute herbal tea. If I drink other beverages than that though with artificial ingredients or colas or coffees, I do not ever count them. Caffeine depletes your body of water and you excrete other things like medicines, for instance, you may not want to be losing. Artificial ingredients like aspartame and food coloring can be dangerous for your health, in my humble opinion and personal preference, so I avoid them. I prefer stevia as a sweetner if I use it because it is all natural without the calories. But, everyone has their druthers. Like, Willow says, it is personal. I think that water has awesome health benefits and is a vital part of health and daily functioning. So, at this point, I love it and wouldn't really want to think about trading it in. A long time ago, when I started to try to drink enough water to satisfy the daily minimum requirements, I found that it was difficult to do so. But, it has become easier and easier. You may find that for yourself as time goes on. Best of luck to you.

There's mixed feeling on Sparks about this. Some say "water only" can be counted. Others say it's okay to count Crystal light, plain iced tea, etc. In the end, I think it's up to you.

Anything goes, as far as I'm concerned, but water is always best...there's no improvement on Mother Nature...Adam's Ale for me! :-)

Does anyone county anything other than plain old water for their water intake for the day?
